We had a wonderful stay at Rick's home. The location was ideal and peaceful on the water. We hardly left the house during our 2 week stay! Great location close to farm stands and wineries. We loved the hammock, firepit, and the kayaks were great. We hope to return next year!

House has everything you need inside and out for a great vacation. Views were spectacular and street and neighborhood were very quiet. Host was very easy to communicate with. Close to everything too. Would definitely come again. Thanks!

Never has a vacation home checked off all the boxes necessary for a great time. Rick and Laura’s home felt like our own home, but with a beautiful water view. What we enjoyed most was the indoor and outdoor porches and the fire pit area. Having a washer and dryer and an automatic ice maker, made it very convenient, so that we didn’t need to leave the house at all. The beds were comfortable and the upstairs bathroom was a plus. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we booked for next year, before we left. Thank you so much to the great hosts, Rick and Laura

A real gem! Gorgeous views, quiet neighborhood, well-appointed house. Exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed our stay.

The house was very clean, beautifully decorated and a nice size. It was perfectly located on the lake yet still very close to the town (shops, restaurants).
The stand-out benefits of this rental are 1. the owner’s great communication and willingness to help us find restaurants and activities, and 2. The fact that the house is fully stocked with everything you need: linens, detergent, coffee pods, etc.
This all made vacation a lot less stressful.

Tucked away on the water in a quiet neighborhood, this cutchoque cottage was well equipped and newly remodeled.
With a small beach and lovely outdoor seating areas and a nice dog walking street, it was a great spot to experience early Fall.
Our only disappointment was the lack of a second bathroom. Apart from that the cottage, and owners and neighbors made us feel very welcome.

We enjoyed celebrating thanksgiving with family in this sun filed comfortable home. Beautiful views of water fowl and sunsets while very convenient to supermarkets, fish markets and farm stands.

We spent 5 weeks at this property. We loved everything about it. Rick and Laura welcomed us warmly to their home which is magnificently situated and very well appointed. We loved watching the water and the water fowl, kayaking, visiting the local farm stands and restaurants. The neighbors were enormously helpful and kind, as were our hosts, which was important as we were out there during the hurricane.
Generally I'm ready to get home after several weeks away. This time we didn't want to leave and look forward to a return to the north fork. You can't do better than this spot.

We loved the house, the neighborhood and the neighbors, who gave us excellent advice. The house is comfortable and well furnished. Everything works. The view is spectacular over looking a lovely cove. We used the kayaks daily, enjoying Osprey, Cormorants, Egrets, Swans... The location is great, near tons of wineries, nature preserves, Brauns Seafood, and all the lovely North Fork towns. Rick is accessible and helpful. We had a perfect stay.

House and its porch, deck, yard, and small private beach are right on the waterfront of a quiet, rustic cove teeming with wildlife. Numerous seabirds, ducks, geese, and swans paddle/fly near the house. A few rabbits visit the grounds at night. A deer walked through the yard one afternoon.
Watched the waves, birds, and colorful reeds during the day and the stars (including a few shooting stars) at night.
Cutchogue is in the heart of the North Fork and its farms, farmstands, and wineries. Only a short drive to other towns like Greenport, Orient, Mattituck, Southold, Shelter Island (ferry), Jamesport, and Riverhead. Also a convenient base from which to drive to and explore the Hamptons, whether driving to: (i) Riverhead and then south; or (ii) taking the shortcut through Shelter Island and its ferries. (North Fork isn’t as developed or crowded as the Hamptons, which can be a good thing.)
In addition, the owner + neighbors are very friendly and helpful.

This waterfront cottage was perfect for our extended summer stay with occasional family visitors during these Covid times. The downstairs bedrooms are compact, and the upstairs queen bedroom/sitting room is a nice addition. The decor is contemporary, uncluttered, easy to live in, with ceiling fans (and outlets) throughout. The central AC works very well, even on the enclosed porch, where the dining and sitting areas look out onto a bay with ever changing views. And the view is nothing short of magical. The lovely little beach, steps from the stone patio, is perfect for launching kayaks, and a pair of binoculars makes bird (and boat) watching lots of fun. Evenings were perfect for stargazing as we lounged near the fire pit, where lovely old oak trees frame the waterfront. It’s very quiet, very private, with nice neighbors. The owners, Rick and Laura, were a pleasure to work with, and we would certainly rent this cottage again.

I cannot say enough good things about our experience in this house. It was everything we wanted it to be - fun, relaxing, rejuvenating. The house was immaculate and had all of the essentials. We enjoyed and got a lot of use out of the fire pit, kayaks, and hammock. In particular, we enjoyed kayaking out to the bay and paddling up onto the beautiful sandy beach nearby.
Between the three season porch, deck, and patio there are lots of options for places to sit and enjoy the spectacular view. Pictures really don't do it justice - it is so beautiful and serene. The area is super quiet and peaceful but there were also lots of great restaurants and vineyards nearby.
