Please also be aware we also have a total of 5 cabins, 8 RV sites, boat & boat slips, and FM 356 near. See our other cabins and their availability at;
Cabin 1, sleeps 2, at Vrbo: 9464546
cabin 2, sleeps 4, at Vrbo: 1323933
cabin 3, sleeps 5, at Vrbo: 1340797
Cabin 4, sleeps 7, at vrbo: 7856605
cabin 5, sleeps 4, at Vrbo: 9464533
Cabin has double wood siding interior & exterior that keeps it quiet inside, good people & rules make it great, or we help enforce quiet time rules. FM 356 traffic is normally quiet at night but can cause some traffic noise during day.
Also not in cabins and or not normally any nuisance to people, but guests should be aware that we are on a natural lake and there can be in wetlands area across the street or in brush snakes, spiders, snapper turtles, alligator across the bridge, hawks, eagles, raccoons, etc. No real danger but occasionally for a couple days usually in spring or early summer, mom alligator will come and drop off a baby alligator off every couple years, stays with it a couple days then leaves. Baby tends to be about 3’ to max 3.5’ when this happens, is too small to be issue, can still only eat maximum size of bullfrogs, kind of fun to watch, but then normally leaves as well within a few weeks cuz too much activity from us. Parks & Wildlife and licensed trappers both said to leave them alone when this small, just do what we do because most the little one can do is eat bullfrog and will leave to find different home if we keep up our activities. And after 8 years we see this is correct. Thanks

Check in was simple! Hosts were wonderful! Best communication with hosts we have ever had in our many places we have stayed! Cabins were clean and cool! Best thing about this was the FULL sized coffee pot stocked with coffee sugars ect! SUPER PLUS! Def will be using this little resort on Lake Livingston again! This couple thinks of even the small things that many places tend to forget! And when traveling the small things make the difference! Thank you for our stay Bernedette and Rick yall were wonderful!

Nice and quite, would have preferred not to have ran across the Vibrator packaging left on the floor beside the bed and had to clean under toilet rim. Other than that it was a nice quite get away.

We needed a few night getaway to the lake for a break from the busy of usual life - this was just what we needed! The hosts, Rich & Bernadette, are 2 of the nicest folks and were so accommodating. Going for an evening boatride with Rich to see the sunset and stars was fantastic! The cabin was simple, but enough. We didn't need much - just linens, soap, pots/pans, and dishes - the essentials for a lake getaway. The lake levels are really low this summer, which made boating pretty tricky, but Rich had a great recommendation for a local free boat launch. He was so apologetic about the water level which was unnecessary b/c it's weather and other factors - nothing he could control. Just a good human who wanted us to enjoy the lake. They were accommodating of our sweet old mutt, too.... she had a blast! Highly recommend Lindy's homemade ice cream (just down the road) for anyone visiting Onalaska - we were only at the lake for 2 days - but had ice cream there twice!

Run down, no upkeep or maintenance
Dirty dishes left in sink. Dead cockroaches in bedrooms. Camp was rundown. This is a residential trailer park not a vacation get away. Tenants have their chickens running around. No fishing nor swimming too many alligators.

We spent a long weekend in Rick and Bernadette's cabin and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Rick and Bernadette were easy to communicate with, and the cabin was exactly as described: all the kitchen supplies we needed (and more), newly-renovated bathroom with a great shower, clean bedding and linens, large deck overlooking the lake, cold airconditioning, and the list goes on.
Thanks for a fun, relaxing weekend!

Wonderful place to stay. Kind, friendly hosts.
The place was great, just as described. It's near a road that is fairly busy during the day, but at night it becomes still and quiet. Rick and Bernadette are such nice people you feel like you're staying at a friend's place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and hope to return and try out a different cabin next time. Highly recommended.

Wedding weekend
My husband and I were attending my sons wedding so we had a couple of cabins rented out. Just like always we always pack a whole bunch of stuff but when we got there both cabins were fully equipped I didn’t have to pack as much as I did but overall it was great, wonderful and everything ran smoothly.

Relaxing fun getaway!
The cabin was very clean and well equipped. Being able to rent and launch kayaks right in front of the property was awesome. We had a great time and hope to return soon! Also highly recommend Jerry’s restaurant which is a few minutes away.

Bernadette and Richard are great down-to-earth people! The cabins are not fancy but they have great sleeping spaces and it's kept clean. They work to make sure you are having a great time! They have canoes and kayaks that you can rent and those are well taken care of. The fishing wasn't that great but that didn't change the fact we had fun! Cabin 3 doesn't have the greatest view of the lake since they are so close to the road and bridge, but the family had a great time. If you want a casual place that makes you smile you will go here. Thanks again Bernadette and Richard!-The Casteels

Great family place!
We enjoyed our stay with B&R. It is very quiet, clean and very family oriented location. The kids enjoyed the paddle boat and kayaks to go over to the nearby sandbar. I wish I had requested the small boat rental at the beginning of our stay. This was perfect for the unpredictable weather we had when we couldn’t get out in the boat.
We brought our 23 ft pontoon, but the water level was too low for launching at the on-site boat ramp. It was a short drive to KOA nearby to launch.
Highly recommended and we will be back!!
Thank you Bernadette and Rich for your hospitality!!

We absolutely loved every minute of our stay! The cabin was cozy and great for small family getaway!! Loved being able to walk down to the water from our cabin and easy load and unload! We also loved being able to bring our own kayaks and launch them right in front of our cabin! We can’t wait to come back and enjoy the water again!
