About this bed and breakfast
El Sitio, the town in the middle of the Sanctuary of the Sanctuary Sancho lovingly designed and built by the two artists Dietmar and Natan Teutsch is inspired by Cesar Manrique. Nature makes art - art fits into nature.
Carefully built into the rock, you can feel security as in a cave and, at the same time, large round windows and the special position allow panoramic views of the vineyard, the fragrant pine forests and the endless Atlantic. Flowing transitions from inside and outside create a feeling part of nature.

What today sounds so self-evident, our predecessors have built up with great effort and preserved for centuries.
The terraces cover more than 1. 380m. To the highest vineyard areas worldwide. Our vines bring low yield with high quality. The ecological management of our vineyard according to the requirements of the Consejo Regulador de Agricultura Ecológica (CRAE) is a logical consequence. In this way, we make a small contribution to the preservation of the agricultural structures on La Palma.
Not only for ourselves, but also as guests, we want to make the exceptional peace and beauty of our estate accessible. We work with great passion and with the full support of our palmy neighbors and friends. Only in this way will you be able to share this unique place with an experience of nature, movement, recreation, relaxation, enjoyment and wellness.
In 2014, we bottled 260 bottles of completely hand-picked Listán Prieto grapes exclusively for our guests. Enjoy a relaxing hiking or bathing day with a refined glass of our in-house red wine.
Harvesting & Enjoyment:
The vineyard blooms and grows practically all year round. While from the middle of January to the beginning of March, the almond and fruit blossom season impressed, the first fruits begin to mature in April / May. There are apricots, figs, lemons, oranges, peaches, plums, apples, pears, strawberries and of course the sugar-free grapes. You can use our fruit trees until November. From November to December, the chestnut trees (chestnuts) are waiting for you to be harvested.
A private herbal garden provides for year-round tasty ingredients in the kitchen.

It's a very isolated place, which was what we were looking for. Would recommend a car with a high clearance and four wheel drive for peace of mind! But the location itself is unbeatable. The nearby restaurant is also quite good.

Traumhaftes hochwertiges Anwesen
Die Anlage ist hervorragend gestaltet und mit hochwertigen Materialien wie Holz und Schiefer sehr geschmackvoll und rund gebaut. Jede Einheit bietet Privatsphäre und hat Sitzmöbel in dem jeweiligen Garten oder auf der Terrasse. El Sitio hat eine eigene Sauna und Außendusche. Der Poolbereich ist oberhalb der Einheiten angelegt und bietet abends einen phantastischen Blick über die Wolken. Ein kleines Paradies im grünen Norden der Insel!

Die Hacienda liegt wunderschön eingbettet in der Natur, in völlig ungestörter Ruhe. Der Poolbereich geschmackvoll,mit Blick auf den Atlantik. Reiche Vegetation, abends ein wunderbarer Sternenhimmel. Das Brotangebot eine willkommene Bereicherung für den Frühstückstisch. Der Aussenbereich von "El Sitio" eine wahre Freude.

Ein ganz besonderer Ort: Wohnen am Weinberg unter faszinierendem Sternenhimmel
Ruhige und naturnahe Unterkunft mit luxuriöser Ausstattung. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen, und um danach in der Sauna oder im Pool zu relaxen. Erstklassier Wein aus eigenem Anbau. Hier merkt man die handverlesene Ernte und dass der Wein mit Liebe zubereitet wird. Es wird hier vom Vermieter an alles gedacht. Die Küche erhält eine Grundausstattung mit Gewürzen, Öl, Spülmitteln, Spülmaschinen Tabs, usw., sogar eine Waschmaschine mit Waschmittel ist vorhanden. Es wird auf Nachhaltigkeit geachtet und es werden selbstgebackene Brötchen und selber produziertes Mandelmus verkauft. Nachts sieht man bei klarem Himmel alle Sternbilder über der Hacienda. Unser Gastgeber Christian hat uns alle Wüsche erfüllt und war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer waren sauber, das W-LAN immer in guter Qualität verfügbar, der vorhandene Grill auf der Terrasse top und dank des Fliegengitters kann mit offener Terrassentür im Schlafzimmer genächtigt werden. Wir können diese besondere Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen und es besteht definitiv Wiederholungsgefahr.

Superbe lieu au-dessus des nuages. Les logements sont très bien intégrés dans la nature. La vue est magnifique et les couchers de soleil sont magiques. Très bon accueil, tout était parfait. Merci !

El Sitio
La localización es especial, estás todo el rato por encima de las nubes literalmente. El entorno es increíble además de estar muy cuidado. Un lugar ideal para poder descansar. Eso sí, sólo bajar al pueblo más cercano ya te cuesta 19 minutos por carreteras de curvas, al igual que la mayoría de La Palma. Todos los detalles están pensados para el descanso. Nos alojamos en El Sitio, tiene de todo lo que necesites para cocinar, una terraza donde desayunar y cenar, tomar el sol, dispone de sauna privada y es un rincón envidiable, con una habitación redonda con mucho encanto. La zona de la pisicina es maravillosa, las mejores vistas del lugar. Christian nos recibió atento y amable, enseñándonos cada rincón pensado para el huésped. Sólo le pondríamos un pero, que fuese un alojamiento “adults only”. Ojalá volver algún día.

eine perfekt in den Weinberg integrierte Finca. Wenn nicht schon alleine La Palma eine Reise wert wäre, dann auf jeden Fall das El Sitio. Danke, dass wir hier sein durften.
Einen großen Dank auch an Christian, der sofort auf alles reagiert hat, da ja nach der Waldbrand-Evakuierung - zum Glück war das Anwesen vom Brand nicht betroffen - nicht wieder alles funktionierte.
Es war ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt, den wir gerne wiederholen werden.

Garafia is Amazing!
Garafia is an amazing property! My wife and I traveled to La Palma to visit our son who works at the MAGIC Telescope on the top of the volcano. We were looking for a place close by and found this amazing location. While traveling the world over the past 30+ years, we have stayed in many B&B's and this was by far the most incredible. We were there as the Covid-19 crisis unfolded around the world and we could not have been in a better/safer place. The beauty of the mountain top along with the vineyard setting, made for a "dream come true" experience. Many congratulations to Tobias and our local contact, Christian, for the kind hospitality. If not that we needed to return to the United States, we would have loved to stay much longer. This is a place I wish to return and bring my entire family, including grandchildren! I give it the highest ranking possible!

Ein wunderbarer Ort zum Abschalten und Genießen. Schon beim ersten Anblick der unglaublich tollen Anlage in der Natur ist man verzaubert und vergisst alles rundherum.
In Natura ist der Ort und das Haus und die Terrasse noch schöner als auf den Bildern. Absolut empfehlenswert ...!
Danke für die tolle Betreuung von Benjamin (der sich um die grüne Zauberlandschaft rundherum kümmert) und Christian (es war alles perfekt von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise!)

Absolute Ruhe und Alleinlage über den Wolken
3 Wochen im El Sitio ein Traum an Ruhe und Erholung.
Vom Beginn bis zum Ende hat alles gepasst. Wir wurden sehr gut von Christian und Benjamin betreut. Danke nochmal für alles. Das Rundum Sorglos Paket.
Die Außendusche , Pool und die absolute Ruhe waren für uns Stadtmenschen der absolute Hit.
Jeden Abend gab es einen beeindruckenden Sternenhimmel zu beobachten.
Das Haus hat eine sehr schöne Inneneinrichtung. Einfach ein Traum.
Wir sind total verzaubert, das es so schöne Stellen in der Welt noch gibt.

Als je van rust en privacy houdt is deze woning perfect. Het is de lange rit vanaf het vliegveld meer dan waard. Heerlijke woning, prachtige buitendouche en sauna. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame ontvangst.

Für manche Dinge und Orte fällt es schwer passende Worte zu finden - das Domizil El sitio auf der hacienda ist so einer. Gewaltig schön ruhig einmalig- das wäre vielleicht etwas. Das Haus ist tadellos eingerichtet, die wellness gimicks von Sauna und aussendusche versüßen die Tage, die Umgebung und der Ausblick sind eine Wonne- es blieb kein Wunsch offen.

Als Aktiever Hobbyastronom meine besondere Empfehlung ,Leider nur wenig Geräte
über Athos zu bekommen toll wäre in Zukunft eine auf dem Gelände Vorhandene Sternwarte oder Astro Säulen mit Montierungen und Geräten.

Superb property
We had a wonderful stay, beautiful property with outside shower and sauna. Very quiet, a perfect getaway. Lovely complimentary bottle of wine, homemade almond butter, very yummy. Sunset and Star gazing from the hot tub (extra cost and needs booking) was spectacular. Just a note it’s only one big bedroom not two, other beds are in lounge/kitchen area, great for star gazing though. Really kind and helpful staff. Property is very remote, best to get sat nav coordinates to find it! Would highly recommend for a get away from it all holiday.

The holiday stay at El Sitio, La Hacienda, was superb in every way. It is situated within a forested environment at an elevation of about 1300 meters. We cherished each sunset from a remarkable vantage-the accommodation is located above the cloud level. Hiking opportunities were abundant and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful giving us up-to date information about them. Traveling to La Palma observatory was a special treat. The drive took about an hour on a modern two lane road that is notable for its many sharp curves. The accommodation itself is one to which we hope to return soon. It is modern, well appointed and spacious. It also has an outdoor shower and sauna. The complimentary bottle of wine produced at the owner's vineyard was a special treat. The accommodation and environs were simply excellent value and most definitely worth the 2.5 hour drive from the Santa Cruz de La Palma airport. As a bonus, stargazing is unparalleled.
