It was spacious and clean, in a lovely environment with the horses just outside and the pool right next door. There’s so many local options for family days out - we walked across
the field to Glebe Farm and had lots of National Trust visits with friends and family. Corinne also left some lovely touches in the cottage that made staying with 2 small children that little bit easier!
We had to top up a couple of basics like toilet roll and dishwasher tablets, and a couple of tea towels and some oven gloves would have been handy - but that feels like picking at straws! we had a lovely stay ☺️

Great layout, group can be relaxing together comfortably whilst someone is in the kitchen. Well-equipped kitchen. Plenty of decent sized towels. Shared garden & pool areas are fab - a swim was a great way to relax on a Sunday morning. It was easy to find. Good parking for 2 cars.
Iron was missing. Floors creaky but only to be expected in such an old property.

The cottage is finished to a very high standard and was very comfortable for family stay. Pool was well maintained and warm. Peaceful location also.

The hosts were very understanding that we brought an extra guest, arrived later than scheduled & had to book an extra night last minute - even had a much needed bottle of wine waiting for when we arrived...(along with milk & cookies yum yum, a lovely christmas tree and also the heating was on which was a good job as is rather cold here in December!) I love that there are horses stabled nearby and that you can hear a cockerel in the morning. The swimming pool was like a giant bath, both my babies loved it! Beds are comfy & lots of extra bedding available. Big rooms and lots of space, nicely decorated. Can park right outside. We will return when we next visit family in Congleton. Handy leaflets for local attractions and takeaways.
Wifi was a tad intermittent but that’s me being really fussy. This place was great.
