The outdoor patio is perfect to share your meals at open air and to sunbathe on the deck chairs, getting the chance to enjoy a refreshing shade any time you wish thanks to the wooden canopy. There is also a wooden oven (just for show) and a barbecue area, perfect for cooking some delicious local food.

Would recommend this property to anyone, up to 6 adults or adults with kids would feel comfortable. Very clean with everything you need, right next to a grocery store, and close to bus stops. The host offered to drive us and pick us up wherever we wanted whenever we wanted. We could also take the bus anywhere for 2 euro. A few good restaurants are a walking distance away, the host will reserve for you. Giovanni and Maria are very kind and made our stay very enjoyable :)

Giovanni and Maria were wonderful! They helped me plan my stay and provided private driver that was less expensive then taxi. They were responsive and very helpful to book boat tour and dinner reservations in Sorrento.
Thank you Giovanni and Maria! I will be back again! Ciao 😘

This was a wonderful place to stay and not in the overly touristy area of Sorrento. Great house, wonderful host and fantastic restaurants. So glad we stayed here. Will do so again if we ever return to this area.

The communication leading upto our arrival was excellent especially as we got a little lost when travelling to the property (our fault……wrong bus) Giovanni came and made two trips to collect us and our baggage (5 adults, 5 cases)
There was a fabulous welcome pack upon arrival, bread, milk, jam, butter, wine and fruit.
We were made to feel very welcome and the property was beautiful, clean and very well equipped. Thank you

The property was wonderful! The hosts were very helpful and knowledgeable. A great view and outdoor area!
I gave a 4 star for cleanliness only because we did have some ants on the counter. However we were able to manage it. We did not alert the hosts because it was manageable, but I'm sure if we had they would have immediately taken care of it.

We had to change plans at the last minute and rented this property, which turned out to be a major highlight of our trip!! The owners were absolutely wonderful, they made you feel like family! Location overlooks Sorrento, where we stayed several night, and is an absolute gem! The small village is the perfect location to take in a true Italian experience!! Highly recommend this quaint, perfect property l!

Giovanni and Maria are lovely hosts. The flat is extremely clean and spacious. The outdoor space overlooks the ocean and is also spacious. This is located in a small mountainside town outside of Sorrento. The town has plenty to offer. Unless you enjoy walking hills, you will need to take a taxi or bus to your destinations. Both are easy to obtain but beware taxi prices vary so negotiate your rate before your ride. Giovanni was very gracious and ensured we had safe and affordable travels to Pompeii and Naples. We walked to Sorrento and took the bus to Positano. Buses are very cheap but crowded. We will return and stay here.

The apartment in Sant’Agata was wonderful. We stayed there for a month with our cousins and had plenty of room. The apartment itself was beautifully constructed, very clean, and well-equipped. The owner, Giovanni, will make every effort to solve your transportation problems or anything that needs fixing or explaining. He will offer to take you where you want to go—even to Naples or to the Amalfi Coast. This will be an extra fee, but reasonable given the cost of public taxis and $8/gallon gas.
A washing machine is included, and it is the renter’s job to keep towels and sheets clean. There is no dryer, so everything has to be hung out to dry. The humidity or rain can make this difficult at times. The outdoor patio provided hours of relaxation and provided facilities to eat outdoors.
We highly recommend taking the tiny trains in Sant’Agata and Sorrento to grasp the beauty of these towns and to explore the agricultural products the region is known for.
Bring a plastic Melita coffee cone and filters to make American coffee. Otherwise you will be using an old fashioned percolator which is difficult.
For the disabled or elderly travelers, there is a 45 degree hill to climb for 5 minutes when you go into town. But the restaurants and shops are worth the walk when you go.
We loved every minute of our stay and we will return some day!

We loved our stay here. The owners are so kind and helpful and made us feel welcome. Everything was comfortable and clean. There is an amazing view from the courtyard, and it is a beautiful outdoor space to sit, relax and eat. The location is perfect - so close to the grocery store and restaurants and 20 minutes from Sorrento. We highly recommend this place!

We had several issues with this rental. First, the location in the listing is misleading. It is located in Sant Agata. If you have a car this shouldn't be an issue, however we didn't have a car, so we easily wasted 1.5-2 hrs a day taking the bus into town and back again. Second, the apartment has a musty smell and everything felt damp the entire stay. The owners tried to cover the smell with three scented plug-ins, but imo that just made it worse. Adding to the second point, when we arrived there were many mosquitoes in the apartment. It took some time to go around and kill them so we didn't get eaten in our sleep. Lastly, before we arrived the owner asked if i wanted a "cheap" taxi to meet us at the port. I asked how much it would cost for 3 people, each wigh a carry-on, but didn't get a response. He told me you could only get there by car so i acquiesced. Upon arriving at the rental, the taxi driver charged me 70 Euro for the 20 min ride. We later found out that a bus does run from Sorrento to Sant Agata, costing 1.40 Euro each. We were all relieved when it was time to leave 'Sorrento' and move on to the next leg of our journey.

Our stay at the apartment was very pleasant and very clean. Giovanni was a great host. I requested beach towels which he purchased on our first day. I was glad he did not put the towels in the apartment, but waited for us to get back. He did not go into our apartment while we were out. He also made our restaurant reservations. The only thing I was disappointed in is the distance from the port. All our activities were centered around the port. The advertisement mentioned it was five minutes from Sorrento but it was actually 30 minutes from the port. Giovanni did drive us to the port and picked us up every day. He was on standby ready to pick us up whenever we texted. It took away my troubles of having to call a cbn (no clue how to do that). However, his service was not free. This added to my expenses that was not planned for. Choose wisely according to your activities Despite the extra $$, it was a pleasant vacation.

Giovanni and Maria were outstanding hosts; from making sure we had transportation to suggesting excellent restaurants, even lending us their heating pad. They are very hands on, and it is helpful in a location like the Sorrento area. Their home is lovely, clean and well cared for.

We really enjoyed our stay in Sorrento. Giovanni was a great host and very helpful on finding us a great restaurant.
Everything was clean and comfortable. If you go during colder months be prepared to pay a little extra for heat.
Great view from the patio.
1.0 / 5.0
the beauty of this converted basement/garage space is only skin deep. The wall-mounting heating system could not overcome the freezing cold radiating from the floors during our late January stay. The lack of adequate ventilation caused condensation on windows and doors, obscuring the lovely view and causing consternation to the owners, who live above. We were demanded to pay 98 euros tourist tax in cash up front, no receipt given, when in fact the town’s authorization to collect tourist tax is not applicable in January. The owners were hawkish and overbearing and creepy – they repeatedly asked for our daily itinerary. We returned on two successive days to discover that they had been in the apartment during the day while we were not there. Once while we were out having lunch, they had entered the unit, including the bedrooms, and thrown open all of the doors and windows, and we returned to a freezing cold unit. The owners charged extra for heating, over which they had sole control. Contrary to their English VRBO listing, they charged almost twice the advertised rate per hour for the heat, citing their Italian-language listing. They refused to honor their English listing even when shown to them and to their real estate agent. There are too many other negative details to mention here. The situation became intolerable, forcing us to leave early and leave behind hundreds of euros worth of food and household items we had purchased for the stay. The only good point is that the place was immaculately clean.

Giovanni and Maria, the best hosts ever. The apartment was perfect with a great patio and BBQ and so roomy. Giovanni went above and beyond in helping us with shopping and reservations and personally taking us to Pompeii, Sorrento, positano, Capri and the Limoncello Factory. For 3 old chicks we never could have managed without him. He showed us Italy at it's finest.

Giovanni goes above and beyond to assist you with having the best time at his rental. His recommendations were always excellent.

Lovely apartment with great outside space and bbq. St Agata is a real Italian village much nicer and quieter than staying in Sorrento. Great restaurants in walking distance plus shops and local bus services to beach etc. Perfect stay.
5.0 / 5.0
The location is great quaint little town. 5min walk to grocery store, bus stop, taxi, coffee bar. 30 min to Sorrento. House was big and spacious, nice outdoor area.
The owner tries to help with tours and transportation but be aware his 'economical prices' are not economical. Walk into town and get a taxi it's cheaper.
Also was hit with an additional cost I had to pay up front day of arrival.. I had asked for some transportation on several days and the cost he gave was triple the amount we actually paid via taxi.

Home Away From Home
We just spent 30 days exploring the Sorrento Peninsula and “La Casetta” was the perfect homebase. The town of Sant’Agata was a delight to visit. Only a short car or bus ride to Nerano, Massa Lubrense, Sorrento and a tad longer to Positano. A car rental gave us the opportunity to take a day here and there to experience an amazing area of Italy. Although challenging at times, the parking becomes routine once you assess the normal flow of traffic. My advice on renting a car is to rent one for a week and then, continue adding days as needed. The Italians are sticklers for the contract. Unlike here in the US where you can turn a car in early without being on the hook for the remaining days, they will hold you accountable for all the time listed on the contract. A different way of doing car rentals, but understandable.
The gated entry to the villa allowed privacy for you to enjoy the garden and BBQ area. We enjoyed grilling salmon and steaks several times, while having a cigar and glass of wine and surveying the Gulf of Salerno. All utensils, plates, and cutlery we needed were available in the kitchen. The villa was spotless, and the rooms were larger than they appear in the photos. We had several family members arrive and spend time there and it never felt crowded.
Maria and Giovanni were the perfect hosts. Their kindness and sincerity were evident in every step of the rental process. I am a planner and had a detailed itinerary drawn up, which perplexed Giovanni to some degree, I think. He is very proud of his home and even more so, takes great pride in assisting his guests as much as possible to enjoy their time there. Very cognizant of trying to help you save money on all trips. As much as I had planned, he was still there to help when anything unplanned occurred. Anytime Giovanni would greet me, he always asked if everything was “Fine” and if he could do anything for us. Even after we had left, he was quick to pack and send some items I left in a drawer. For that, I am very grateful.
We will always look back on those days of saying “Ciao, Maria” and “Buon giorno Giovanni” as some of the happiest vacation days we’ve had.

Lovely house and garden
Was very good value for a large space and a lovely garden! The owners were super helpful and helped us with taxi services and recommendations. Was a little far out from the main town of Sorrento but had a lovely view.

Top Ferien trotz Corona

Exceeded Expectations!!!
We recently spent the last five days of our 3 week Italian vacation in Sant Agata at this lovely apartment owned by Maria and Giovanni who were the greatest hosts you can ask for and have left us with a very memorable experience of the small town Italian culture that we had not experienced in Florence, Sienna and Rome.
The location is perfect for day trips to the Almafi Coast, Sarrento, Capri, Pompei and Naples. Giovanni was able to arrange for the transportation at a reasonable cost and convenience to all of these locations.
The apartment was VERY clean and although there were only 2 of us, it would be an ideal place for a family. It had a big kitchen and a huge outdoor patio with a great view of the Bay of Salerno and outdoor brick cooking oven and grill.
Maria and Giovanni even made dinner reservations for us and had the restaurants come and pick us up at the apartment. With my wife and I being of Italian descent, we were both reminded of how our parents and grandparents made family the most important part of our lives thru the hospitality and warmth that Maria and Giovanni shared with us.
If you want a realistic, non touristy taste of the Italian small town familia culture, look no further!!!

Lovely Apartment
Prettily decorated and comfortable apartment with large, lovely outdoor area. Maria makes it very welcoming. Owners live above the apartment, and can arrange transportation for dinner and a boat tour of the coast; other things as well, which is a convenience. Be forewarned, though, that - to the American sensibility - Giovanni’s communication style can come across as overbearing. One of those personalities that sucks the air out of a room. He was very helpful, though.

Great location for visiting all the Amalfi coast has to offer. Loved the village of Sant Agata .
Maria & Giovanni are so lovely & helpful. They helped us with directions for buses & restaurants. The house has everything you need for a base for an exploring holiday. Just a few minutes walk into the village of Sant Agata for great bars & restaurants.

Lovely apartment
We stayed at the apartment for 2 weeks and found the apartment lovely to stay in. The host were very helpful if we needed anything and made suggestions for trips and how to get around. They arranged transport for us from the airport and back again which removed the hassle for us.
Eating outside under the permanent gazebo was perfect.
The location is in a lovely little town away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist spots so offers guests a nice quiet base to explore from, there is a daily bus which goes to Sorrento as long as you don't mind the 30 min journey up and down to Sorrento, from which there you can catch a train to explore Napoli, Herculaneum, pompei and other areas.
The only thing I would improve on would be some fans maybe to help keep the bedrooms cool during the hot weather and I found the beds a little too uncomfortable for me.

Beautiful View in a lovely location
We loved this home. The space was great for the 6 of us. Although, if we were there longer we would have wanted a bigger common area.
The hosts were amazing. They booked tours for us and private transfers to and from the airport. They also went to the meeting point of or tours every day with us to make sure we got on the right one. Some amenities like firewood and heat are extra if you use them, be aware. But overall, for the price and hospitality, it was a wonderful stay.

Lovely outdoor space at the apartment.
Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi is a charming village with a few shops bars and restaurants and an excellent pasticceria and gelateria.
Our hosts Maria and Giovanni were helpful and welcoming.
The accommodation is down a narrow drive that is the only two way access to the many residential properties. It's down hill and slippery when wet making it a challenging driving experience.
We parked up at the property and barely used the hire car because the public transport links were really good. There is regular SITA bus service to Sorrento (Costs less than 2 Euros each way. Tickets purchased at the Tobacci in the village or from the Car Park at the train station in Sorrento BUT not available to buy on the bus) and Masa Lubrense. From Sorrento you can catch the train to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples.
Brace your sea legs and do at least one boat trip. Giovanni can organise this and it includes pick up from the village and return.
