We arrived very late and the host welcomed us without any issue. The place itself is very open, with a lot of light coming in. It’s very well equipped, the kitchen has all the cooking tools needed. The location itself is so peaceful, perfect to disconnect and relax.

From the moment we arrived we were were so cozy and comfortable. The apartment was spacious, warm, and had pretty Christmas lights in all the windows. The kitchen was huge and well-equipped and the beds were so comfy. We couldn't have been happier with the welcoming staff and the peace and quiet of the area. Also, parking is plentiful. The frosty views were so beautiful with windows all around the apartment. This spot blew us away and we will definitely stay again when we pass through this area.

Deep in the woods there is a village, and next to the church there was a school. This is where you stay when you come to Lannavaara Lodge. A spacious apartment in a rural environment, in an old building, but fully renovated. Bring everything you need with you for food and drink if the local shop is closed (like on a Sunday when I came).

We had a nice stay in this historic school building. The apartment is large and the individual room theme (in our case: winter) gave a special flair. Although we had no luck to see any nothern lights, the Lannavaara Lodge is a good place for hunting them. In Lannavaara we enjoyed to visit Kristallen where we learned a lot about the area and culture and bought some beautiful jewelry. It is also worth to have a look into the little church and the small supermarket. Very close you can find the Aurora Mountain Lodge. Here, we had a great snow mobiling tour with a super friendly team.
The kitchen cabinets could be a bit cleaner and expired food should be discarded. Soap in the bathroom was empty.

- The lodge seems to have been very recently renovated with generous amount of money spent on all the extra amenities as well as superb interior decoration. I was not expecting our apartment to be so modern from the outside look of the building. It was a very pleasant surprise.
- The owner was very helpful, hospitable and offered us extra help with our requests.
- The lodge is located in a cozy, small village and just next to a historical church and a grocery shop.
- I wish that the breakfast were available though the owner offered us that as well at no extra cost.
