About this house rental
THE TRABUCCO HOUSE:
Amazingly preserved and well maintained, this home was built in 1932 in the Spanish Colonial style (Santa Barbara style). This beautiful, secluded home features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
With unique and ample features to which no other Yosemite area home can compare, this property features a Mexican tile lined swimming pool, basketball and volleyball court, private balcony, courtyards, outdoor kitchen and living areas, two ponds, Spanish style water fountain, spectacular lush gardens, outdoor fireplace, and spacious patios. All of this tucked in the heart of Mariposa…within walking distance to shops and activities.
LIVING, DINING AND KITCHEN AREAS:
Much of the home features original beautiful oak floors; oak beamed ceilings grace the living room with original hand painted flowers. The living room showcases a wood-burning fireplace with the original 1932 copper screen. The light fixtures in the entry and leading up the staircase are hand forged scenes from the past.
The dining room seats 8 comfortably and closes off completely for privacy with the original French doors.
With kitchen renovation in 2009, the authenticity of the 1932 era was maintained while providing a very modern, custom kitchen. The kitchen features granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, warming drawer, farm sink, prep sink, pot filler, gas Wolf stove top, and Sub-Zero refrigerator.
BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS:
Two spacious bedrooms are located downstairs and share a bathroom while one identical bedroom is upstairs with a second bathroom. The upstairs bedroom has a door opening onto a patio that overlooks the pool area and is equipped with rocking chairs to enjoy your morning coffee. The bedrooms are each beautifully and uniquely decorated.
The bathrooms have the original ceramic tile that was popular in 1932; one with yellow and black and the other with art deco styled pink, green and black. Very fun! Both are full baths with the upstairs having a large separate soaking tub.
GROUNDS:
Surrounded by Palm, Deadora, Cedar, Pine, Olive, Plum, and Almond trees makes for a very private setting. The magnificent vegetation attracts numerous birds. During the “dog days of summer” you can escape the heat by cooling off in the private pool, sitting under the covered patio, or enjoying the natural shade provided by the canopy.
LOCATION:
2.5 hours from San Francisco area
1 hour from Fresno Airport
35 minutes from Yosemite National Park (Hwy 140 entrance)
50 minutes to Yosemite’s South entrance (Hwy 41, Glacier Point, Wawona, & Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias)
4 hours from Los Angeles
This magnificent home is conveniently located and is in walking distance to shops, restaurants, Music on the Green, theatre and entertainment. A wonderful rock staircase takes you down and drops you just a few steps from all the action!
Mariposa is home to many restaurants with fantastic food. A few favorites are Charles Street, Castillo’s Mexican, Savory’s, Sugar Pine Café, 1850, and High Country Health Food.
We also have a full grocery store, and a deli & market right down the street.
You will love the several shops that promote local artists, antiques, and other wares.
We hope you enjoy your stay and will gladly work with you to plan the perfect vacation to Yosemite.

We loved the house. Everything was perfect. We spent every day cooking great meals in the kitchen and outside on the BBQ while lounging in the pool. The house had everything we needed to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. Thanks to the host!

We had a marvelous time staying at this amazing home. King beds in all the rooms, plenty of linens and towels. And the amenities were exquisite.
Very well taken care of and manicured property. Pool, Hot tub, Grilling areas, Basketball/pickleball.
Would recommend it to anyone!

This was our first time in California and Yosemite, and it was perfect. This house was amazing! It felt like we stepped back in time. So much character! We loved the quiet, secluded yard, pool, and gardens. After a long day of exploring Yosemite, a dip in the pool with the family or a game of pickleball was exactly what we needed. The house was abundantly stocked with plenty of towels, cooking items, and bedding. The beds were so comfortable. We slept hard! On top of all of that, the host, Brian, was the best. He communicated on every detail and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. I would 100% stay here again, and my family would too! Thank you!

Our family of 8 just got home from our stay in this vacation rental. It was even better in person! This is a beautiful house in an even more beautiful setting. We took advantage of all the amenities it had to offer. We had a fantastic week at the house, in Yosemite NP, and the quaint town of Mariposa! Hope we’ll be able to visit again in the future!

Thoroughly impressed by this home. Brian was fantastic to work with and very responsive during our stay (1 month). We are defenitly going to be back next year again. Honestly couldn't ask for a better accomodation. Thanks!!

We had an amazing stay at this property. It’s kind of ruined all other rentals for me! What other house has all these amenities for this price? My kids were in heaven and we even debated not hiking in Yosemite for a day so we could fully enjoy the property. The house feels like home but better lol. We loved how the owners kept some of the historical aspects of the interior while still modernizing for current day needs. There was an abundance of everything we needed as a family of seven. The location is 20 steps away from downtown Mariposa and close to the entrance of Yosemite 10/10!

The home is exactly as advertised. Worked well for our family. Lots of amenities, in town but very quiet neighborhood. Family came by and were so impressed that on their next visit they will be booking!

This is an amazing property, in an amazing location. We had an amazing time as a family with our 2 boys under 12. From the tranquility and wildlife to the proximity of Yosemite, this one is tough to beat! And the hosts are second to none!

We loved staying at this property, it had it all. It is close to Yosemite (approx. 1hr 15 away) and very close to town but you dont know it from the oasis back yard.
We had a great time going into town, hanging out at the pool and playing games. Thank you so much for being a communicative helpful host.

My family (2 adults & 4 kids ages 10-15) stayed at this home for a trip to Yosemite. We had an amazing time! It is comfortable and lovely, both inside and out. My kids enjoyed swimming in the pool, and playing ping pong and corn hole. The outdoor grill came in handy for dinners, and all the amenities of home were provided. Everyone agreed that the beds were comfortable. We even saw deer in the yard! The owner was very responsive and friendly, both before and during our stay. The location is great, within walking distance to the heart of Mariposa. We would definitely recommend this home if you are planning a trip to Yosemite!

The photos of this house are so beautiful that we were worried it was too good to be true…but the home lived up to the photos and more! I highly recommend this property.

We loved staying at this beautiful property in Mariposa. This property is even more stunning in person. So many gorgeous details both inside and outside. We stayed with our family of 4 adults, 1 teenager and 1 11 year old child. Everyone loved the easy walking access to the shops & restaurants, the pool & hot tub, the grill & plentiful outdoor seating, the basketball and pickle ball court, and more. This home was perfect for convenient access to Yosemite and exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend!

This is the most unique and beautiful property at which we've stayed. The home has amazing historical architecture and all modern day amenities. The landscaping is an added bonus with tiered gardens and plenty of flowering bushes and trees to attract birds and pollinators. There was something for everyone and our family really enjoyed the quality time during our stay. Easy trip to get to Yosemite and just steps away from great restaurants and shops in Mariposa.

There were 8 of us, our adult kids and spouses, this home and property are absolutely amazing, the pool and hot tub were clean, the beds were so comfortable, and each room has a fan and everyone slept great. There were no shortcuts taken with this property, the grill was clean, and the home was stocked with everything you need for making, such as seasonings, a coffee grinder, and other extras like paper plates. It was such a great experience to be able to stay in this amazing Tuscany villa. The home is a vacation itself, we had coffee each morning by the fireplace on the patio and enjoyed being outside on the property. This was our favorite vacation rental hands down. The inside of this home had so much history, it would be fun to learn about the history of the home. I am so thankful they would share this home for others to experience. I hope everyone takes care of the home during their stay so others can enjoy this property as we did.

Had a great stay at the home using it as a base to visit Yosemite. The home was clean and fully appointed for our stay with linens, fully equipped kitchen & towels for around the pool and hot tub.
Our boys really enjoy the sports court with basketball and pickleball.
The outdoor areas & landscaping was just as beautiful as the historic interior of the house.

We had a very relaxing stay at this lovely, peaceful property. We drove into Yosemite several times, but we also spent several days just relaxing at the house and walking around Mariposa. There are many great restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance of the house, but the property is so expansive and beautifully landscaped that it still felt remote and private. The kitchen is large and well-appointed, and it had everything we needed to cook meals at home. We especially enjoyed the outdoor areas -- we ate most of our meals at the outdoor dining table, dipped into the pool when the temperature got into the 80s-90s, and played many games of ping pong and basketball.
Check in and check out were very straightforward/easy, and communication with the property managers was a breeze. Brian and Bruce were both very kind and responsive. We had an issue with the internet, and they responded quickly to help resolve the issue.
This house had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation, and I would stay here again without hesitation.

Loved our stay. Thank you

This is the second time I've stayed at this property. I can't say enough about how beautiful this home is. Though this house is a couple minutes walk from great restaurants and shops, we felt no need to leave the property because it was so relaxing. The details of the landscaping and in the home itself are impressive.

Fantastic rental property and experience! House and property were just as advertised, and property mgr could not have been better (or faster) with his communications and responses to my questions. House and property were immaculate. Kitchen had everything we needed. House has great indoor and outdoor gathering places for groups, and other areas (outdoor garden, balcony, outside fireplaces) where one person or a couple can have a place to themselves. Bonus: less than 10-minute walk to the Stockton Creek Reservoir trailhead. If we spend another weekend in Mariposa with my friends or family, we’ll definitely return to this property.

This home was so thoughtfully restored, and I felt like I was in someone's home, not a rental with hodgepodge furniture. Everything was stocked, clean, and comfortable. The beds were so comfortable (the sheets had some incredible scent to them that we spent a bit of time trying to figure out!). The location is perfect - right in town, but up a couple blocks from the main street and surrounded by trees, so you feel like you are up in the hills. I will definitely stay here again!!

"This is the best house I've ever been in"
That was a quote from my 8 year old. We had a group of 4 kids and 5 adults and everyone agreed that this house was just perfect! Even though we didn't do a ton of cooking, the kitchen is AMAZING! And excellently appointed. We loved the original bathrooms. The bedrooms were great. It was a little too cold for the pool, but the hot tub was a godsend, and we loved the outdoor fire pit. The location is seriously amazing. You can walk to everything in town and it was a great base to explore Yosemite and Sequoia and King's Canyon National parks. The hosts were also excellent at answering any questions we had. Such a great stay, thank you!

We absolutely loved this property. Every aspect blew us away, the owners truly thought of every detail. The home is absolutely gorgeous, clean, comfortable, and the grounds are stunning. The house had everything we could need or want, every person had a great time between the pool, hot tub, ping pong table, basketball court, and chess table. The location is fantastic too and easily walkable to the charming town of Mariposa. I would stay there for weeks if I could, and I hope I can come back to this property again in the near future.

We celebrated my Mom’s 80th birthday at the Trabucco House in Mariposa. The house and grounds are a spectacular. There is plenty of room for family meals, card games and puzzles, relaxing outdoors on various patios, and enjoying splashing in the pool. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare elaborate meals and desserts. The 4 bedrooms are very large and have comfortable beds, and the two bathrooms are so charming. This property is beautiful, unique and has a very relaxing vibe. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return again sometime.

You will have a hard time finding any property anywhere that is as nice as this one. The house is historic, but has all the modern conveniences. It is very well taken care of and extremely charming and comfortable.
The location is very convenient. There are several restaurants within walking distance, and there's a grocery store about a mile away.
We were there for a trip to Yosemite and really enjoyed the hot tub to relax in the evenings after long hikes.
The grounds of the property are beautiful. Though there are other houses nearby, you can't see them at all because the landscaping is so lush. We ate every meal outside on the patio, used the grill and outdoor kitchen, and took a dip in the pool. You really will not want to leave. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again - I was with a group of friends and everyone just kept saying how amazing the place was.
