About this house rental
Purpose built waterfront property, with beautiful views, set on a peaceful lagoon with private boat ramp.
Direct access to the Ovens and Murray Rivers for the watersport and fishing enthusiasts. Or come and just enjoy the relaxing setting with family and friends.
Within walking distance (2km) to the family friendly Bundalong Tavern. Opposite the Tavern is the Licensed General Store, which supplies groceries, take away, fuel and ice.
10 minute drive to Yarrawonga which has major supermarkets, bakeries, cafes/restaurants as well as the golf, bowls and waterski clubs, which all offer drinks, meals and entertainment.
15-20 minute drive to the Rutherglen wine region, which offers many great wineries, as well as cafes, hotels and fine dining. Bus companies can pick you up from the house for full or half day tours.
Perfect base for the golfers with many top quality courses in the region
Just under 3 hours drive from Melbourne.

This home is unique and perfect for a family/group holiday. It features;
6 bedrooms (1 double bed, 4 Queen beds, 2 bunk beds)
2 bathroom and 1 ensuites (total of 3 showers and two toilets)
2 separate lounge rooms (with TV and DVD player)
Upstairs kitchen (with dishwasher, microwave and s/s appliances)
Laundry (with washing machine)
Reverse cycle airconditioning, fans and heating throughout.

The big outside deck facing the river, can comfortably accommodate large groups, with an undercover outside kitchen, built in 6 burner BBQ, commercial drinks fridge, outdoor furniture and flat screen tv. FREE WIFI
Situated directly on the lagoon where you can swim, fish, canoe or tie up the boat. The house is set on a large block with plenty of undercover secure parking for vehicles and or boat.
WHAT TO BRING AND BOOKING CONDITIONS
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:
Linen - all sheets, pillows and towels
Bedding - doonas/blankets/sleeping bags
(All beds have mattress protectors only).
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE:
All bookings commence at 2pm and finish at 10am. Later checkouts are available free of charge if there is no other booking that same day or the next day.
PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION:
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of $600 is required to secure your booking.
Balance: The balance is due 7 days prior to arrival. If the booking is made within 7 days of arrival then the full amount is required within 48 hours of the booking request. This balance is also non-refundable in the event of cancellation (caused by the client) unless the property is rented to another group for the same rental period. If the property is re-let a $50 cancellation fee will apply
Bond: A bond of $600 is required for all bookings. The bond will be returned within 5 days of the last night's stay. Any damage or breakages, accidental or malicious along with any items missing from the property will be paid for by the renter.
OTHER CONDITONS
House not to be booked for bucks/hens type parties.
If the house or property requires more than reasonable cleaning, an additional cleaning fee will be deducted from the bond (at a rate of $50 per additional hour of cleaning).
At no stage is there to be anymore than the maximum number of 14 adults staying overnight at the residence or on the property unless prior arrangements are made. If this is found to be the case the entire bond will be forfeited.
Unless prior consent is given we DO NOT allow tents to be errected or caravans on the property. Strictly NO PETS allowed.

Fabulous location, awesome outdoors area with a fantastic outdoor kitchen. We barely went inside! Upstairs kitchen and bathroom quite modern, plenty of room for the 12 of us and so much fun in the water. Beds were comfy, just might have been good not to have to worry about bringing all our own linen, tea towels etc. But we did have an amazing time!

Pictures of property must be very old doesn’t represent current condition of house.
Cleanliness of the whole house was very disappointing and needs a lot of repairs upper and lower decks both dangerous.
Sorry but under current conditions would not stay there again.

Beds were comfortable, shower upstairs and the one with toilet in both worked fine, between two bedrooms wouldn't heat up. Most of the lights in bedrooms didn't work, bedside light switch ready to shock someone. Didn't find out we needed to take bedding and towels till day before after trying to contact owner for quite a few days for that reason. We ended up being quite comfortable but the house requires a lot of work to avoid it getting further rundown.

House is a little tired, but still had all the amenities needed.

Perfect location for water skiing. Convenient to have boat secured in the water out the front of the house. Older home with a great outdoor kitchen and TV lounge areas. Comfortable beds and enough rooms for two families. Unfortunately some evidence mice in the two outdoor bedrooms and outdoor kitchen.

The home is situated well, on an inlet just off the Ovens river. Truly picturesque part of the world.
The home layout is great. Outdoor kitchen is very good with plenty of fridge space for a big group.
The beds are very comfortable.
The bungalows have cooling and fans, their wires door need adjusting to close properly to keep out the bugs.
We had a good family break there!
Decks and bathrooms are tired. Light globes needing changing. Fan remotes needed batteries.
Some TLC including a good clean of each room, and some maintenance would transform this home. Deck had many nails exposed which was a challenge for some guests.
Not enough cutlery for the 14 people but got some from the local op shop. 😊
Very hard to connect with owner 🧐.
Beware the mosquitoes 🦟
The ladder to swim in the inlet is not great for anyone that is heavy or with dodgy knees. 😵💫
Wish the owner all the best now Victoria is out of lockdown and can fix up the niggles of her home for the next guests 🌟

Location and outlook are what this property has going for it. The house is old and need of repair, hole in ceiling. We only found out the day before check in that two of the bedrooms were outside. Having to take ALL linen, pillows, doonas etc including tea towels was a pain. There wasn’t even any kitchen sponges to wash dishes or any dishwasher tablets. I found communication with the owner quite poor the majority of the time. We did have a lovely time as it was my daughter’s wedding

Our two families thoroughly enjoyed staying at your house, and having the boat moored at the bottom of the garden made for very easy waterskiing over the weekend. Thx..had a great time

The property was not clean and lots of things not working properly.
In the down stairs bathroom between bedrooms there was black hair and dental floss in the sink.
In the outdoor area the fan near the bbq wasn't working along with many lights. The right hand fly screen was difficult to open. the outside Tv had no reception. There was a gas leak when we arrived (which we rectified). That had left the gas bottle empty (other 2 spares empty) That left us with no hot water.

Fantastic location - great for boaters - so nice to be able to leave your boat in the water overnight. Great relaxing views from the deck/ eating area. Outdoor kitchen made it so much easier.

Excellent house with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Outdoor area with bbq, kitchenette and bar fridge was a significant highlight and worked perfectly for our group (10 adults). Lake on your back doorstep with plenty of shade when it gets too hot. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our weekend here. Awesome river views, great deck, clean, comfortable rooms, and the owners were very helpful. As a group of 10 we loved the big outdoor kitchen, and that even the extra bedrooms had big beds, air-con and artworks. Wished we could have stayed for a week. We'll definitely be back.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and again it has not disappointed. With ample space excellent cooling and of course that huge outdoor area looking out over the water

Fantastic large property right on the river. Multiple bedrooms of a similar size so great for large groups. Plenty of seating for meals and the terrace and outside kitchen were brilliant for group cooking. The bedrooms, bathrooms and inside lounge are all adequate, if not exceptional, but it really makes very little difference when you consider the superb outside areas, which we sat out in even in the middle of winter. House is well located right next to the river and it's only a 15min walk to the pub in town. The owner was clear with communications and the couple of small issues were dealt with quickly and easily by the owner, who was always contactable. A great place for exploring the Rutherglen region and we would definitely come again.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Taj. Great deck upstairs and downstairs and a big BBQ area. Area to tie the boat right in front of the house. Definetely reccomend this property for an awesome weekend away

The perfect river house, we were blown away at just how good 'Taj' is. We spent all of our time on the front deck which accommodated all 13 of us comfortably, and the bedrooms are nice and spacious. Enough room for a couple of boat berths out the front and access to the private boat ramp. there inst anything missing from this place.
Hard to find a better place to stay at Bundalong if your a keen skier, will be returning if it isn't already booked for the next 12 months!
