We loved the pool, just the perfect temperature and so attractive with all the lush foliage. Our unit was comfortable for two people. Our host was very helpful. The restaurant was great.. we ate there a few times. A really enjoyable holiday far away from freezing Melbourne.

Bathroom outdated, but functional and clean. Due to the humidity carpet smelt a little musty, but overall lovely. Thank you 😊

Very nice resort. Staff were lovely. Shame the food at the restaurant was quite mediocre (aside from the tempura fish and chips which was delicious).

A nice place to relax
There's a shuttle that runs into town regularly and the resort is a short walk to the beach. The room was very clean and spacious. We loved having cocktails by the pool!

Great spot and value for money
This a great place and great location.

Resort style stay
Easy to check in, clean and well set up and nice to be able to use resort pool & gym. A bit damp smelling due to extreme heavy rain, so keep air con on continuously. A few notes from owner on this & transport to Port Douglas would have been handy. The room has no phone coverage & the hotel does not orovide wifi so being cut off from everything is tricky.

Very comfortable, I will happily come back for next visit to PD.

Great location and communication, no WiFi
The resort is close to the beach, awesome pool and restaurant. There is no WiFi which I was really disappointing considering the resort facilities are meant to be on offer.

Not what we expected
This is a hotel room in a resort. But it’s self contained?! Not what we expected!
1 roll of TP, but 10 pillows bed?!? No one to make up our room, and 1 set of towels for 7 days. Same set of sheets and towels for 7 days. Great that there’s facilities to wash and dry on site, but that’s not what I expect when staying in a 4 star hotel. Bed is hard and room needs to be modernised.
If I stay in a hotel I expect there to be certain amenities. This needs to be much clearer when looking for a hotel.
If I book a hotel I expect hotel amenities, so we are feeling a little cheated here.

Nice room
The host Zoe was great to deal with. The room was clean and well furnished. Check in was very easy. We had access to all of the resort's facilities except for a couple of things. Firstly no access to Ramada's WIFI and reception wouldn't store our luggage on checkout. They said we weren't guests checked in by Ramada, we were private guests. Our stay in the resort was great.

Great facility, nice swimming pool, beautiful gardens. Room is a bit old, but clean. Good location.
Property manager was nice and easy to communicate. However, property doesn’t have washing machine and dryer and they are changing towels once a week only. It’s not possible to dry them in tropical climat.

Our stay at Ramada Port Douglas
We were extremely disappointed on opening the door. The room smelt musty, was run down and far from our expectations. There were 4 of us and my 13 yr old Son had to share a crappy roll out bed with our 10 yr old Daughter. Deceiving pictures from what was posted on the Internet. We ended up booking a different place at a different resort so we could have an enjoyable stay with kids in separate beds and separate rooms from us.

Old hotel room with no bathroom fan, cracked shower tile step that I cut my leg on, no reception
Wouldn’t stay in this room again.

Very tranquil and enjoyable and relaxing. Everything a holiday should be :)

Ramada stay
I think it was a better experience than those booked through the resort. Having ample plates glasses and microwave meant u could have nibbles and drinks in your unit somewhat independent of the resort facilities. My other friends staying in the resort didn’t have that! Great value.

Comments in general.
1. Apparently no means of communicating with Manager.
2. Upper fixing of shower rail requires tightening.
3.Tile edges of shower recess chipped in part.
4. Wonderful,tranquil setting.

Port Douglas
Great place to stay. Plenty of room and great to be able to use the resort facilities. The only fault I could find was that it would have been good to be able to leave a window or door open for fresh air but there were no insect screens on them so we had to have the aircon running all the time. Comfy king size bed 👌🏻❤️

Overall good place to stay - easy to access - a short drive from the heart of port Douglas
Had a great experience within a decent sized room, all facilities accessible, although we ventured out more so, didn’t really stay at the hotel much - wifi didn’t work and reception in the room isn’t great but otherwise would use again and recommend

Lovely resort
Thank you Zoe, the room was very well catered for our little family. Resort pool & bar was awesome. Although plantation shutters were gorgeous a fly screen would have been great too!

Great Value for money
My family of four recently stayed in this privately owned unit. The unit it is quite large, although having two adults and two kids it can feel a little cramped especially when you are travelling with a lot of luggage. The unit is well appointed being in the bottom floor, although the wash and dryer are located at the other end of the complex. Unfortunately there is no allocated parking at the resort so you can't always get a park close to your room. The resort has a mini rain forest around it which is beautiful but the downside being that you get no natural light into the unit. The owner has supplied cutlery which was a great touch however there were no materials to wash or dry up ie dishingwashing liquid or chux or tea towel. The bathroom was really spacious but there is no exhaust fan in there so the towels never dry and the floor gets quite slippery. Unfortunately there was no wifi in the room and it was limited around the resort. The rate we had was really affordable however next time we would probably try to get somewhere self contained and a little closer to the Main Street. There was also no DVD in the room but I can't remember if that was advertised as being included.

Loved the pool area
We had a great stay at Ramada over the Easter Holidays. The room we stayed in was well equipped and comfortable for 3 nights. Loved the swim up pool bar and restaurant right at the pool. Bonus for kids that can swim by themselves ! Would have enjoyed a 'free' shuttle service into Port Douglas though, as for a family of 4 it's a bit steep to be charged $20 each way for a 3.5km trip :(
