Decent room for a night’s sleep close to centre of town
Although the bed sheets and pillow cases seemed fresh, the pillows inside smelled a bit of many many uses and it didn’t feel that fresh.
Very noisy throughout the night with people up and down stairs and corridor and shouting. Happened very early morning with men’s voices who were then sitting downstairs in reception, making use of facilities and kettle and being quite noisy chatting with reception staff but who I don’t think were actually hotel guests!
Also, be aware, not the hotels fault at all but tawau airport is over 30 min drive away from tawau town and the town itself is really nothing special - not sure why you’d want to stay there!

The staff of the property was very thoughtful - I was traveling alone with 3 heavy suitcases and the front desk lady asked me whether I wanted to stay on the ground floor to avoid lugging all my luggage up the stairs.
There were surprising no bugs either, which is a big plus in a tropical region.
Was not a dealbreaker for me - probably due to being windowless, the room smelled a bit dusty but I got used to it during my stay.
