A great place to stay for exploring the Dolomites

The manager is very attentive to guests' needs and provides good tourist tips. Room is cleaned everyday and nice breakfast. Great mountain view from the hotel! The hotel location is on several good hiking trails.

Would be more convenient for guests to have a electrical kettle in the room.

Lovely inn with clean, comfortable rooms and an excellent host.

The host was so lovely and welcoming. my husband and I both celebrated birthdays during our stay and she made us feel very special. excellent breakfast spread. Very comfortable rooms. convenient bus service into town. The rooms are immaculate. We will stay here again.

Exceptional

The hostess was very welcoming, and the location, outside of the quite crowded Ortisei centre, provides calmness and good rest. It is also not far from St. Jakob church, where you can get a nice view. Plus, there's a waterfall you can see from the yard. The breakfast was good, especially the cheese and the bread. The Val Gardena Mobilcard provided by the hosts was a nice touch and also very useful and helped travel through Sued Tyrol.

Recommended!

Josephina, my host, was very kind and helpful with all my needs. I felt very well taken care of throughout my stay. The views from my balcony were stunning and I enjoyed the peace and quiet away from the crowds. There is a hiking trail (#4) behind the property which made for a long but very interesting journey on foot from Seceda back to Garni Halali, passing the beautiful St Jakob's church. I would have never have known nor been confident to undertake this, if not for my host who was suggested and helped me plan the hike. I am very grateful for such a lovely experience.

There was a road closure one of the days but the walk downhill was only about 30 mins and the bus was running again when it was time to get back (uphill) On another day the shuttle bus got very full and uncomfortable. This was due to more and more visitors in Ortisei (late June) so I am curious what it would be like during the peak season.

Over-all, our experience as a couple was wonderful and memorable. I love the breakfast specially. Josefina, the host was

The house feels homy and cozy. It is immaculately clean and well maintained. Our room has an amazing view of the Dolomiti mountains. The parking is a plus and very accessible to the building. The host hospitality is superb.

Amazing stay with amazing view

Amazing view near trekking church st jacob. The room very comfortable and have big space, the balcony very big with mountain view. The owner very friendly and attentive. Breakfast also good make me full before begin the day.

Exceptional

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Garni Halali. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The location was great - close enough to skiing and to the town center, but at the same time, located up above the town and providing spectacular views of the mountains and valley. We had a great time skiing and also did a hike up to the church of St. Jacob, which is one of the most photographed places in the area. The host, Josefina, was very friendly and helpful, and provided a great breakfast service, including some delicious homemade treats. We hope to return for another stay to take advantage of the many summer activities. We highly recommend Garni Halali and would definitely stay here again!

Superb

We had a wonderful experience in the Garni Hotel. The owner, Joseffine, was very welcoming, friendly, and polite. She upgraded our room and helped us plan our visit according to the weather, which was very helpful and saved our day. She also gave us free bus tickets which were valid for 7 days. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom is renovated/new. The breakfast was good and the WiFi worked well. There was also a parking area which is really a must.

Wonderful place

Spectacular!

The accommodations were very nice. Quiet location. The view from our balcony was spectacular! Great breakfast and the host was helpful and extremely pleasant. It was a pleasure staying and very hard to leave. Several hikes available right from the door and a bus service that allowed access to the whole area.

Cosy, warm and welcoming

We had a wonderful stay at Garni Halali. The room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and the shower in particular was brilliant. Our hostess was incredibly kind and accomodating. I am coeliac and she purchased gluten free items so I could fully enjoy the breakfasts. It was great to feel so looked after and we really enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable stay at great location with a super friendly owner

Owner Josefine of Garni Halali was very friendly and welcoming. She gave us recommendations for the area and she was always in for a chat. We have not often experienced such an involved owner before, very nice. The location of Garni Halali is perfect, just a few minutes drive from the centre of Ortisei up the mountain. The views are great, also from our balcony. You can easily take a bus down to the city centre, or walk there (just take into account the bus runs until 6 PM - after that it’s an uphill walk of 20 minutes. Josefine prepares a delicious buffet breakfast with a lot of choice, such a fresh bread and tasty cakes. The rooms are very tidy, the beds are very comfortable and the bathroom is great. We would a 100% come back again.

Charming Hotel!

Everything! The hotel was very cute and clean, the bed was comfortable and the spa shower was amazing! The breakfast spread was also pretty impressive and we enjoyed eating that every day. The owner was very kind and helpful and was always available when we had questions. Plus, the owner upgraded us to a room with a balcony free of charge since the room was empty! We had a fabulous time here and would certainly come back if we ever get the chance!

A beautiful house, mainted by a very helpful and kind lady

It's located in a lovely, quiet location with an amazing view of the hills and mountains. The room was spotless and everything was so clean. The shower was spacious and powerful. The breakfast was satisfying enough - I loved the crunchy bread and strong coffee. The balcony from our room had an amazing view of hills and mountains.

There wasn't anything I disliked.

Breakfast was extensive and good. Hotel is up a big hill so be prepared to walk or to rely on the bus. But it’s a beautiful location with an excellent view, comfy rooms, and great hospitality.

A wonderful stay in the Dolomites!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and Josefine, the owner, was incredibly kind & helpful - she helped us map out our hikes at breakfast! Garni Halali is quiet and peaceful but very close to great hikes including the Alpe de Suisi & Seceda. Plus, only a short walk to the village of Ortisei or you can jump on the bus which runs quite regularly just outside of the hotel. A lovely experience for our first time in the Dolomites, we will definitely be back!

Modern, clean and good hotel. Nice and helpful owner.

We stayed 12 nights at Garni Halal. The location is peaceful and beautiful. The hotel located on a hill overlooking Ortisei. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel so car is not necessary. The bus runs between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. And bus tickets are free. A taxi from Ortisei to the hotel is about 15 euros. We liked the peacefulness and the great view. Room was always clean and bed was very good to sleep. And bathroom was good size and modern too. Josefine the owner of the hotel is really nice and we got good advice from her. She is very helpful. I recommend this hotel. The location is perfect if you want to use the Val Gardena card.

All went well. But if something has to be said, a minibar in the room would be good. However, we were able to use the hotel's fridge, so everything went well.

Genuine hospitality in a beautiful location

We had a wonderful stay here, the owner is so kind & helpful, and truly dedicated to hospitality. We appreciated the varied and fresh breakfast (especially the tasty cakes!), the large balcony with breath-taking views (and a little rack for drying laundry!), and the spotlessly clean room (where making the bed is a work of art!). It's a great spot, nice to be out of the bustle of central Ortisei but still easy to get to the centre by bus or even walking.

A wonderful and authentic place to stay in the Dolomites!

Our stay in Garni Halali was really great! We got many good tips from the hostess for sightseeing, bike rental, roads and hiking around Val Gardena, which was the main point during our holiday here. The room was very nice and clean, not too hot despite the heat outside. The location of the accommodation was outside the main village but it wasn't that bad - the view was excellent! You really feel like home here :).

Great vacation in Italy
