Excellent location, easy to get to from the station. It’s a beautiful ryokan. Onsen with views of the ocean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was quiet even though my room was facing the main road. Both breakfast and dinner was excellent. They had a great selection of nihonshu. The staff were well versed in their knowledge of nihonshu and recommended a few to try with my dinner.
Nothing

夕食をお部屋でいただけたこと。
貸切風呂が予約制ではなく、空き状況がわかりやすかったこと。
洗面器を膝の上に乗せた時に、裏面のぬるぬるが気になった

5 mins walk from Ajiro station. Private onsen. Great Seaview. No breakfast served in hotel but free coffee and tea was available 24-Hours. Great staff and very clean rooms.Quiet Town. Atami Town is just one stop before Ajiro station, is more bustling.
Nothing.

Private onsen and yukata

The breakfast is pricy, but really nice.
Lighting color and color scheme of the room. Small changes could make it more comfy IMO

Except the public bath, the Ryokan has another two bath rooms can be used without booking or extra fee, you can go in as long as it's available, and it functions as the private bath. Since Ajiro is not a hot destination compared with Atami or Ito, the private bath is often available. However, Tokyo people like to spent weekend in izu so it's expected to be a bit busy in the weekend. The rooms are very clean and traditional as well. I think it's hard to find another ryokan with same level of comfort with a close price.
The room only has 4 power sockets, all away from sleeping area, made it inconvenient to charge phones, portable wifi, etc. Also it's a bit surprised that such a good ryokan doesn't have microwave oven in the room.

Very beautiful room with ocean view. Very good public bath. Free access to a private bath on 5th floor with ocean view. Very kind staff.
I forgot to order full board and it wasn't possible to upgrade (which was kinda understandable since I arrived rather late). Luckily there was a very good restaurant less than a five minutes walk away.

Hot spring: small, not opened air. Private onsen: Got some unpleasant smeill
Dinner: food is not very fresh

The fact that you could go to the onsen any time, even in the middle of the night was great. The same goes for the private onsen, which does not require any sort of reservation. Just walk in whenever it is empty.

The facility was gorgeous, lobby, rooms and onsen were simple yet beautiful, decorated with taste. When you arrive you get to choose your yukata yourself.
We loved it, especially the view on the ocean from the room.
When you wait for a private onsen room, you can have a footbath, also with a great view.
Our room was facing a busy street, the cars are loud (especially while raining). Also we wanted to book dinner&breakfast but were too late to do so, next time ! The inside of our fridge was a little bit dirty.

Amazing food, service, cozy and impeccable rooms. The private bath with see view is an unforgettable experience. The kaiseki course is delicious. One of the best ryokan experiences amongst many. Also conveniently close to Tokyo for a weekend escape.

The room was very beautiful an clean, very good Japanese style, two private hot spring room on 5th floor was perfect. Staffs don't speak much foreign language but they try their best to communicate, very good service. Will come back again.
the food was only okay consider the price. (which is about 10000 to 15000 yen per person I assume based on different room rates on the website).
The room was next to a kinda busy road, not very quite

Very traditional Japanese style. The hot spring is awesome
The staff is not very good at English. This hotel is not in the Atami, but the other small town close to Atami, which is called Ajiro. It takes 15min train to get there from Atami
