Such a well equipped, pleasant, quiet and and clean little cabin. The town was also amazingly clean and pretty. .
Hojancha town is out of the way but not difficuult. To find.
We could not get any hot water.in the shower. We did not ask about it. .

We really enjoy Hoja Azul for its tranquility. It’s a beautiful place to relax from stressful and demanding responsibilities. We would have like to sleep better in a king size bed as my husband is a tall 6”2 man. A double bed doesn’t cut it for us. However, the space is wonderful and we loved our stay. The host was very helpful and the kitchen is adequate for making meals - well equipped.

Fully furnished kitchen with all the necessary equipment for cooking. There was coffee. There was also a washing machine with the necessary laundry detergents. There is a large terrace with a table and a hammock.
Big ants, but here is nature :)

Everything!! This place is so beautiful and peaceful, set in a stunning rural part of the country. The cabin is really well designed with everything you need. i could chill on that hammock at the porch all day. The hosts were so lovely and very helpful
Only that we didn’t stay longer! we booked this place as a last minute stopover between La Fortuna and Montezuma. Now that we know how beautiful the surrounding area is, we will spend more time at Hoja Azul next time we’re in Costa Rica.

Easy check in, comfortable, clean, and well equipped. Washer was a bonus. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and a park.
Some industry near by so a little noisy.

Our stay at Azul is easily in the top 5 best ever.
Having travelled from San Jose through to Hojancha, to arrive in a town where there is no bars on anything and the area is so safe that people leave their front doors open, it was amazing.
The hosts have clearly lived in Azul for a bit as everything is so thought through and conveniently arranged that it makes spending time there very comfortable and easy. It has all the utensils and items you need, with all the little extras like olive oil and teas provided that saves you rushing out to the shops.
The place is very clean and well looked after, the bed was luxurious and the shower was perfect. The kitchen has plenty of appliances.
The view from the porch is spectacular, one you could never tire of seeing, and the options to sit in reclining chairs or at the table for breakfast are all that you need.
The hosts are so helpful and supporting. Our air-con remote ran out of batteries whilst we were there, so immediately the host sent somebody to provide us with fresh batteries. Every question we had was answered and helpful, and they even took us out to an incredible viewpoint that is an absolute must if you visit the area.
I cannot offer enough praise for azul and it’s hosts, it has been a highlight of our time in Costa Rica and if we come back then we will be staying at Azul again.

Loved this place. Would have stayed longer were we not going to San José. Really helpful and relaxed hosts. Everything you need in one place. Beautiful decor. Comfy. Microwave and stove. Maybe bring some ear plugs though if you're a light sleeper as you could be woken up by neighbouring dogs or birds.
10/10
Maybe an extra bin for recycling INSIDE the chalet as with only one bin everything goes in there and almost discourages recycling and separation.

This place is exceptional. Very nice, comfortable and clean.

Hoja Azul was a perfect oasis for us! We loved the architectural design and comfort of the home, the gorgeous view from the porch, and the most fantastic hosts we've had so far! Hojancha is a delightful, tranquil place full of kind people, and Denis and Karolina exemplify these traits 100%. We can't wait to visit again.

A very nice house, just 5 minutes walk away from the centre of Hojancha. There is everything you need in the house including a coffee machine and washing machine.
The house is 30 minutes drive from Barra Honda park.
Unfortunately, there is a huge grey concrete wall immediately behind the house, but the windows and veranda are facing the opposite direction, so not problematic.

Great host! Charming Cabin, A great spot if you want to visit Barr’s Honda.

Great cabin with modern architecture. Was a bit hard to find but that was not a big deal. Only wish the cabin had wifi and perhaps a cooking element. Hojancha is a great little town with friendly locals.
