About this house rental

A freshly painted boutique style 3 bedroom holiday home at Burrill Lake near Milton-Ulladulla. Situated close to the lake and a short stroll to the beach and several shops within the tranquillity of the South Coast of NSW.

Minimum booking period is 2 nights. Please note that the price per night at the top of the page refers to bookings outside of holiday periods and is automatically placed there by Stayz. For accurate pricing, please refer to the pricing section.

Upstairs comprises the main bedroom (BIR), large bathroom, kitchen (with jarrah benchtop and dishwasher) and bright living areas. The dining room seats 8 and there is a separate TV room with a Smart TV. Enjoy views of Pigeonhouse Mountain from the kitchen, covered entertaining deck (with table also seating 8 and hooded gas barbeque) and lounge room.

Downstairs, the property features two bedrooms - one with double bed, the other with two singles. The large rumpus room, with two double bed futons giving options for more guests as well as a play area for children and second Smart TV, opens on to the front paved area. There is a large modern laundry and second bathroom. Sliding door access leads to an expansive timber decking out the back, leading to well-shaded lawn with several seating areas amongst the secluded landscaped gardens.

Flyscreens and ceiling fans add to your summer comfort.

All linen and bath towels are provided. Should you have very small children, we can provide a portable cot as well as safety gates for the stairs.

We also have a 2-man inherently buoyant kayak (one child-sized lifejacket also available) and esky for your use.

LOCATION:

5 mins drive south of Ulladulla (3.5 hours from Sydney, 2 hours from Canberra) and situated well off the Princes Highway.

Local Attractions

There is everything from fishing, swimming, water skiing, surfing, snorkelling, diving, boating, bird watching to bushwalking as well as several great eateries.

Fishing, swimming and water skiing in Burrill Lake (only 100m away) including use of our 2-man kayak. Surfing and swimming at the local beach 10 minutes walk away (the patrolled beach is at Mollymook). There are other beach areas worth visiting, like Tabourie and Dolphin Point.

Mollymook has two golf courses and, for the walking enthusiasts, why not conquer the peak of Pigeonhouse Mountain (30 km drive away).

Bird watching, mini golf, tennis and the Tabourie Museum are just some of the other local attractions.

LOCAL SHOPS AND EATERIES

Burrill Lake has its own takeaway seafood (among the best in Australia!) and a great cafe for breakfast and lunch or takeaway healthy food. Within walking distance of the Old Boathouse are a bottle shop, fishing tackle supplier, stand-up paddling (lessons available) and a stroll over the bridge to a post office/newsagency, mini-market and hairdresser. Just across the road is a beautician/spa to complete your holiday experience.

Milton-Ulladulla boasts many cafes and restaurants with local seafood the pick of most menus. There's also great shopping in historic Milton with Nowra/Berry 45 minutes north and Batemans Bay/Mogo 30 minutes south.

I booked this lovely property for my husband’s parents to stay whilst they attended our Daughters Wedding. It was as gorgeous as the photos in the add. We’ll definitely be back to stay again as we didn't stay long enough to enjoy everything the home and surrounding area has to offer.

We had a short stay in November 2023, we enjoyed it so much we had to return. The Old Boathouse is just great, it is all that it is promoted to be. Centrally located to the districts we enjoy exploring, we are more than likely to return again.

Great stay at this well appointed property- very comfortable, very clean & lots of additional bonuses- we loved the spin in the kayak- just a short walk down the road. There was a massive, unprecedented storm- but no problems for us & prompt response with additional clean mid stay organised from the owner. Highly recommend.

Don’t hesitate in booking this property. It was everything we wanted and more. The communication with the host was prompt and accommodating, the house has everything you need for families or adults staying together. Wonderfully equipped, immaculately clean and allows for anything you may need. That deck is certainly a highlight! Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

My family spent a week in the Old Boathouse and we had an amazing time. Very relaxing. The veranda is fantastic to sit and watch the birds fly past you ( quite literally). Close to the lake and shops in a very quiet neighbourhood. Definitely happy to come back.

We were on a 8 day trip moving our family (including dog) from Melbourne to Brisbane. This place was a delight to land - beautiful quiet area, nice community feel, a short work to a stunning beach, short walk to local coffee (seriously great little bakery) and best fish n chips! We stayed here for 2 nights and did not leave the Boathouse. It was comfortable, clean and fully equipped for us not to have to get back in the car the whole time we were there. (Supermarkets just a short drive away if needed) We felt completely rested for the rest of the journey - a true gift!

The Old Boathouse is a lovely place to stay. It had everything we needed and having a dog there was easy. Cafe ,fish and chips, bottle shop, beach and lake are all within walking distance. We even had our dog groomed locally thanks to a recommendation from a friendly local. Burrill Lake is a friendly community and a place we want to return to! Thanks Frank &Sue for providing such a great home for our holiday.

The Old Boathouse at Burrill is a wonderful place to stay. It has everything you could need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. We really enjoyed reading the background story about the property and it's clear that it's been a labour of love to make the house the 'home away from home' that it is today. There's plenty of comfy seating, zones for indoor and outdoor dining and a great space for kids to hang out downstairs (I wish I'd come across this place when mine were young enough that they would travel with us!!). Our doggo was very happy exploring the backyard and chilling on the deck with us. TOBH is an easy walk to the Lake, the beach, a great fish & chip takeaway and bakery. And for those who can't do without a shopping fix, Milton and Ulladulla are just a 10 minute drive away. Thank you Frank - we can't wait to come back!

The Old Boat House is a true gem, beautifully presented with an incredible eye for detail, we can honestly say that this is one of the best holiday homes we have ever stayed in. We had a great week away, the area is quiet and relaxing but close enough to everything you could need with Ulladulla, Milton and Mollymook just minutes up the road. The old boat house makes for a great long weekend away or a longer holiday here would be great to. The home is lovely and suited our long weekend getaway perfectly. The downstairs area is well appointed with kids games and the house caters for kids with a good selection of kids tableware, a highchair and baby safety gates for the stairs. Communication with Frank was easy and the self check-in process was very smooth. We hope we will be able to come back and stay again sometime.
