Hacienda Bellavista in Vieques: Unmatched views and total privacy. Secluded compound, at the crest of one of the highest points on the island, gentle ocean breezes, stunning views across to Puerto Rico and Culebra to the North, and over to the bio bay and beaches to the South. Two separate homes make up the property: main house and one separate casita. Main house includes 3 bed rooms, 3 full private bathrooms, overhead fans, and air conditioning. Fully-equipped kitchen and family area opens through large wooden doors into dramatic open-air living area w/comfortable seating area and over sized custom-made dining table. Well-kept grounds (2 acres) and pool with 180 degree ocean views. Stairs lead from main house down to casita with full kitchen, seating area, deck, large bathroom, overhead fans and A/C, BR in a raised alcove. The casita provides couples or families a lovely option for privacy, just steps from the main house. The house and casita are rented together as one property.

The villa was very nice, clean and well appointed. Nice breezes sitting at the top of the hill. Christina, the caretaker was great! Great communication and helped us with some provisioning and cooked 2 meals for us. Island was very nice, and the villa was a short drive from either of the 2 main towns. Esperanza had better restaurants than Isabelle.

Four nights in Vieques, this property is wonderful, we stayed only in the upstairs of the main house. Everything was good, well-appointed, comfortable, and the communication was very good. The pool is stunning, it was an exceptional vacation and a wonderful place to be. There was a downstairs room with lots of beds and a bathroom, and a second building with a one bedroom apartment with great views, a bath and kitchen --so this was more than our group needed.
The listing said is was a few minute's walk to the beach, and it is not, it's in the middle of the island on a hilltop, but that was fine because it was a 10 minute drive from either Esperanza to the south--where there are the most beautiful beaches in the world and some restaurants-- or Isabella--where the ferry came in. Also, we were told to get in touch with Mercedes who no longer manages the property. Christina, the actual property manager, had texted us, she met us at the property late in the evening to give us a tour and show us where all the switches were. So not right on the water, but very centrally located and easy to get to the beaches.
You need to rent a jeep to access this property, and for driving around Vieques. It's fun to drive from one stunning beach to another. These were the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to.

Amazing views, great space for 9 of us, had everything we needed. Close drive to atlantic and carribbean and both towns. Would easily go back and stay here again, Christina was easy to get a hold of to help clean the pool and attend to any questions about wifi, etc.

The property was very nice. The kitchen was stocked with a lot of spices, Tupperware dishes etc. Very convenient for cooking. There were plenty of towels and other beach amenities provided. This isnt walkable to anything, but a very beautiful view.

The property was even more beautiful than the pictures! The view, the breeze on the hill top, the pool, the comfort and beauty of the home we just perfect for our family vacation! And it was an easy drive to town and the beaches. Loved all the beach chairs, umbrellas and towels that were supplied. We loved our stay at Finca Bella Vista! The view is unbeatable, and the property had everything a family needs. The spacious kitchen and outdoor BBQ were perfect for cooking. It's a quiet retreat, just a short drive from the best beaches in Vieques. The host made the in person check-in process easy and had excellent communication. Highly recommended property!

The views from this property are no less than spectacular. Being on the top of the ridge, the house stays cool from the cross breezes. Large communal room was perfect for our group to eat and socialize.

The house met and exceeded all expectations. By far the best property we have ever stayed in on the island. The views are spectacular. Christina was very pleasant and easy to contact. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely rent again.

We rented this property with the sole purpose of relaxation. It didn’t disappoint! The pool has unrivaled views and we spent many days lounging and reading our books poolside. The great room was comfortable for our group of 3 couples and we spent most mornings and evenings relaxing in this area of the house. The artwork throughout the house is special and adds to the ambiance and sense of “home”.
Christina was a top notch property manager and was always responsive and helpful when we had questions. We couldn’t have asked for better communication. The highlight of our trip (besides the pool) included delicious home style meals prepared (and delivered) by Chef Sonia Romero at Biekes Bistro and a chartered boat tour with Viequenese Charters. Notable restaurants include TinBox, Coqui Fire and El Quenepo; all places we will eat at again next year.
My only recommendations to make the home more user friendly would be the addition of hooks and laundry baskets in the bathrooms. These are only minor “comfort” details and did not impact the quality of our stay. This property is worthy of a 5-star rating and we will likely never consider another property on the island. Looking forward to next year!

We were two families with kids and everyone loved this home. The view was magical and everyone enjoyed the pool and running around the property. The house was very clean and well taken care of. The property manager does a great job keeping everything in order and makes sure you have everything you need. There were ample cooking supplies, toiletries and linens. There was a lot of beach gear like chairs and beach toys which was wonderful! The location is in the center of the island which is perfect to get to all the beaches. Would highly recommend this house and hopefully we can return one day!

The house and pool were above our expectations. The house almost a 360 degree of the island. The pool is perfect for sunsets. The grill and great room is great for making dinner, and all the beach supplies you could need make traveling to Vieques easy. Would stay here again for sure!

Misleading
Property was nice but it needs to be totally stated that this is on an island off of Puerto Rico and a private charter or ferry is needed for entry with a ferry time and reservation link. I spent in total an extra $2000 in flight and taxi expenses getting to and from the San Juan airport , which is an hour away from the ferry you have to take , to an island with similarities as the Dominican Republic. No major stores, restaurants, pharmacy’s , grocery stores . Luckily i brought a chef but he had a hard time finding fresh food. Produce was rotten and it was just not the best experience. Overall i spent way more than expected which is why the nightly price was so affordable . I recommend just staying in Puerto Rico in the vicinity of the airport.

Breathtaking experience, the property was amazing. Puerto Rico can be seen in the distance as you indulge in peace and tranquillity on the island. Great Escape
This home is a wonderful respite on the island of Vieques. The views are incredible from everywhere in and around the home. There is plenty of space for people to relax inside and out. The pool was a wonderful place to sit and read after a day at the beach. Christina was easy to communicate with and made check in seem less. She even helped when our daughter stepped on a sea urchin. This is our second time staying in this home and it won’t be our last.

Incredible home with breathtaking views
When we arrived to this property our family was pretty much speechless. It's is simply gorgeous. The home is open to the outdoors and the trade winds were blowing through the house all week! (A bird even flew right through and gorgeous geckos are everywhere)
Gardens/patio/pool 365 views of the island. The roosters wake you up in the morning to a gorgeous sunrise and it's an easy 15-20 minute drive to unspoiled pristine beaches. The kitchen is fully stocked and grill brand new. We did a lot of cooking and Christina was a very helpful and responsive host.
The giant igaunas on the property and island were a constant source of amusement for our kids who ran around the entire time. Snorkeling gear/toys for pool/umbrellas and coolers for beach--made avail to us was a HUGE plus.
Lovely birds in the gorgeous trees on the property and fragant tropical plants.

Perfect & Private
This is an extraordinary house for the right group or family, and for us (three couples, one with their 12-year old) it was perfect. There are two bedrooms upstairs in the main house and a bedroom with a sleep sofa in the casita. Downstairs in the main house is a large room with four single beds and a bathroom, which would be great for a bunch of kids.
But the house is so much more than the bedrooms. The great room is the open heart of the house, with a soaring ceiling, and a wide arched door that opens to the yard. We spent long evenings there, talking, laughing, and letting the warm breeze wash over us.
The views from that room, and from the yard and pool, are incredible. The house sits high on the island, and offers a sweeping vista from Culebra and “mainland” PR to the north to the biobay to the south. It’s literally breathtaking.
The pool is pretty perfect, too. You can hang on the far end and watch birds circling below you. Or you can nod off in a comfy lounge chair after a few too many Ron Barralitos.
Altogether, it’s just right. It’s located equidistant from Isabella II and Esperanza, but it’s off the beaten track. You’ll feel a sense of privacy and calm, but you can grab supplies at Mambo in five minutes.
The artwork throughout the home (by the home’s owner), is exquisite and enhances the entire experience.

We really enjoyed Vieques and absolutely loved this property.
My husband and I stayed in the casita while my parents and sister stayed in the main home. We really enjoyed starting each day cooking breakfast at home and relaxing in the gorgeous open air living space. During our stay, we had several small questions - like figuring out how to light the stove - and we got an immediate response. We appreciated having plenty of beach towels, beach chairs and coolers provided for us. The beaches in Vieques are simply amazing and this house provided everything we needed to make the most of our time. I loved having a washer/dryer!! We really enjoyed horseback riding with Esperanza Riding Company and the bio bay tour with Jak was awesome. We also did a snorkel tour with Wai Vie! Our favorite restaurants were Coqui Fire, Biekes Bistro and Duffys. Every afternoon we lounged at the pool with a glass of wine or beer and soaked up a little more sunshine. It was hard to leave after such a lovely week in a beautiful home. We will be back!! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We spent a lovely 4 weeks at this amazing place, would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about making this trip. The property had unbeatable views and was much larger than expected, with plenty of beds and bathrooms for even larger groups. It’s situated on top of a mountain which provides excellent views and privacy. The house manager was so prompt with any questions/concerns we had; it was like being in a 5 star hotel. Every single beach was an easy drive away, and for those who can’t swim, the pool was the perfect place to relax and dip your toes in on a hot day. Since Vieques is an island, you won’t find gigabit internet here, but both houses had their own internet connection, and we found the one in the casita especially stable and fast.

Spectacular Property!
We just returned from a wonderful, memorable week at Hacienda Bella Vista. The house is very comfortable and well-outfitted, and decorated with some terrific abstract artworks painted by the owner, Celina. The house and pool are very private and the pool gets great afternoon sun. My wife and I were traveling alone this time, but we hope to return with friends soon. This would be a great place to come with a family or friend group of 6-8 people.

Amazing experience
We were lucky enough to find this gem on the top of a hill with amazing views of the ocean. Mark was great in reaching out to us before we arrived and even met my husband at the car rental place and followed him back to the ferry to collect the rest of the family and have us follow him to the house. We arrived earlier than our check in time and Mark allowed us to drop our stuff off so we could head off to the beach. He provided us with tons of helpful information on his “cheat sheet” of the islands beaches and restaurants. Each one was better then the last. We had such a great time at the house watching the sun rise in the morning and set in the evening by the pool. We would definitely stay here again when we come back. It was hard really hard to leave. My family of 5 loved this house. We all had plenty of comfortable space for ourselves. The pictures dont do it justice. We never needed the A/C because of the perfect breeze in the open air layout. Pool and pool deck were terrific with nice chairs, big views and glorious water. Caretakers were awesome and very helpful as we were fresh to Vieques. I can almost 100% percent guarantee we will be back to this house.

Mountaintop paradise
The property was gorgeous with amazing views and comfortable beds. Some updated kitchen equipment would have made cooking more enjoyable, but what was there was sufficient. Marc was extremely helpful in providing transportation to and from the ferry and giving us suggestions about where to visit, snorkel and eat. He also went out of his way to provide early check in and late check out to accommodate our ferry and flight times. Look forward to visiting again. We left a little piece of our hearts in Vieques!❤️
