About this house rental
Casa El Nogal is located in La Florida Alta, near Pinolere, a hamlet located in the area of the valley of La Orotava.
One of its great attractions is to be able to enter a natural habitat so typical of the Canary Islands and at the same time so well preserved. Do not miss the opportunity to mix with its natural charm.
ABOUT THE ALOJAMIEMENTO:
The current construction is a restoration made in 2000 of a house over 100 years old, retaining original walls, openings and distribution. The house is integrated in a space of 1200 m2, which highlights a traditional garden of vegetables and fruit trees in a sustainable way.
The location of La Casa El Nogal provides great possibilities to discover the Valley of La Orotava and perform multiple activities (hiking, gastronomy, culture, ...). It is located on the edge of nature and only 5 minutes by car from the center of La Villa de La Orotava, whose historic center was declared a National Artistic Historical Site.
In addition, the Teide National Park (declared a World Heritage Site in 2007) is located within its municipal district and 35 minutes by car from the accommodation.
If you also like the sea, the Valley of La Orotava has bathing areas and spectacular beaches: El Bullullo, Los Patos and El Ancon, in addition to the beaches of Puerto de La Cruz about 15 minutes by car, and multiple puddles and beautiful places to discover.
Our house offers you the possibility of enjoying an organic garden, where there will be fruits and vegetables in season. Super green! If you want, you can taste it. Take it yourself!
The house is wide and with varied outdoor environments, such as terraces, barbecues, the porch overlooking the sea and the hillside "La Resbala", vineyards ... In the interior you will find noble materials that enhance the rustic, some stone pavements natural and others of mulberry wood.
The layout and structure of this house favors both the stays of groups of friends or family, including children, as the most intimate and quiet for couples.
If you want to live an experience in a magical place, calm and created with a lot of love, this is your vacation spot!
HOW TO MOVE IN THE AREA
The close location of the house to the forest and forest tracks (Aguamansa, La Caldera, ...) makes this accommodation a perfect place for athletes, hikers, cyclists ... Here are some routes in the area:
PR-TF-35. 3. Path Llano de los Corrales - Pinolere.
You will find this derivation on the Mamio track, at the height of Llano de Los Corrales, 4.7 kilometers from the La Caldera Recreation Area. It is another option to get closer to the core of Pinolere passing through Barranco del Infierno and elements of ethnographic interest, such as traditional barns and water galleries.
Distance: 2.7 km Duration: 1h 30m.
Road to Candelaria: from Aguamansa to the Montaña de la Crucita.
The road to Candelaria is an old pilgrim trail that links Aguamansa with Candelaria. This trail offers magnificent views over the Valley of La Orotava. Through the immense pine forests, above Aguamansa and the lava slopes, we climb towards the Dorsal Summit. We started our route at the Aguamansa fish farm at an altitude of 1,000 meters. Along an eroded path, we ascend the first section by comfortable forest tracks, to connect with narrow roads carved in the lava, through which we will reach the Mirador de La Crucita, located on the TF-24 road.
Camino de Rosa Peña.
The roads of Pinolere (La Orotava) were traveled, in the not too distant past, to look for firewood, pick pine needles, or make a pilgrimage to the municipality of Candelaria. Today, some of these roads are part of a circular hiking route of 5 km distance and medium difficulty, which has its beginning in Los Cuatro Cantillos (Pinolere).
The ascent section, consisting of the old Camino de Mamio and the Camino de Rosa Peña, transits between cultivated areas of potatoes and fruit trees, crosses the Barranco del Infierno and ascends between species of laurisilva and pine forest. The return section descends between chestnut trees and old pines, along the Camino de Candelaria or El Camino "Viejo", as the residents of Pinolere call it.
Rural road by Cruz del Dornajito.
It is a comfortable itinerary, circular and of low difficulty, ideal to take contact with the natural environment. On the way out, we went through the rest area Cruz del Dornajito, a place with history that was considered the entrance to Monteverde. The kicking passes in good part by forest tracks, ways and trails until arriving at the Cross of the Dornajito, source that celebrated the naturalist Mr. Edems in his ascension to Teide in 1715 to include it in his chronicle as a hole in which clear water falls from the mountains. Alexander von Humboldt, said that it was the only source that could be found on the path to the volcano.
Visit La Orotava and enter the land of chestnut trees
