Absolutely loved the picturesque location of the chalet, which has stunning views of the majestic mountains surrounding Saas-Fee. To reach this place there's a ten minute uphill hike on mountain trails, which can be a bit strenuous, but totally worth it.
The exterior of the chalet is traditional, but inside comfort is at top level, with all the modern appliances needed, well appointed kitchen and stocked cabinets. Also very clean.
The hosts organized everything perfectly for our arrival and always responded promptly.
Not a big deal in an otherwise very well appointed kitchen, but we didn't find any pots and pans.
Rented the hosts' ski locker for 100CHF/week. Locker is for 4 persons, we needed it for just one. Didn't know that downtown there are multiple shops that offer ski lockers / ski depots and in retrospective we could have gotten a better deal renting a smaller locker, so maybe that's something worth checking out beforehand.

Very nice place, mix of old chalet und very contemporary interior and comfort. The quantity, and quality, of kitchen ustensils was especially impressive !

We adored our time in the lower studio at Chalet Birkhahn. It may be small is size but it is very well designed and we didn’t feel too cramped. The walk to the chalet from the village took a slow 30mins with our 4 and 6 year old, but we didn’t mind as loved being out of the town and above everyone else!
We’ve been in 5 airbnb’s so far and this was by far the most well equipped in terms of kitchen attire. Frank kindly left us a bottle of wine, fondue and a gift for my daughter who’s birthday it had just been. Very very unexpected and just shows you the length Frank goes to welcome all his guests.
We hired his locker in town for $100chf for a 6 days which was super helpful so we didn’t have to lug our ski gear home each day.
Just note that the time you tell Frank you will be arriving, he automatically has a taxi waiting to take you up to the studio. We didn’t realize and were caught out and didn’t have 45 chf on us to pay the taxi driver.
We had the most magical week staying here and don’t have anything bad to say about the place.
Thank you so much. A wonderful stay!!

We loved the view of the village and the walkability of everything.
We knew the chalet was 300 feet above the village and that there’d be a hike to get there. Even with a taxi, you still need to carry you luggage up a pretty steep path. This was fine for us and our 7 year old, but this wouldn’t be a good place for people who aren’t physically fit or willing to hike a bit.

The chalet in which we lived is perfectly equipped. Just like at home. You don't miss anything. Very sensitively renovated old house with modern elements. You can watch the stars from the sauna or the bed. Thanks to the fact that you are above the city, every day you have the snowy scenery of Mischabel in front of you with a breathtaking view of the Allalinhorn. Maximum satisfaction for me and my son and family.
