About this house rental
3 bedroom unit (1 side of a 2 unit duplex) located on a beachfront property directly behind landlord's beachfront home with partial lake views and access to your own designated beachfront patio set and direct beach access. Unit also comes with gas grill, picnic table outside unit, fully equipped kitchen, smart tv with Youtubetv cable, WIFI, walking distance to all entertainment, steps to the beach, landlord's unit next door for all requests or issues. The two unit apartments are spacious and are furnished with all of your home needs except YOU WILL NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN towels, linens, blankets, pillows, and paper products (linens can be provided for an extra charge you must request before check in), cleaning products, and perishables. This is on a shared property with the landlord's summer home that sits in front of it so if you are looking for a private secluded lot this would not be it. Very family friendly atmosphere and perfect spot on the beach. NOTE- bathroom is on second level of both apartments.

Sylvan Beach is little known gem in central N Y. We live about 1 1/2 hour away…yet this was our first overnight!
Although I was expecting to see the lake from my rental, our rental was behind the owners house. This property was on Oneida Lake and was. very convenient to the village activities. Walking distance to everything. We drove to area antique shops and casino. We ate locally and the food was very good. This rental had 3 bedrooms with very comfortable beds and ceiling fans. Although we were on a very busy street, the noise was minimal. I would def recommend this property.

Traveled to Sylvan Beach for a birthday. We enjoyed our stay at this place. Very clean and close to the beach. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of seating for our group with the couches and large table. Loved that we had a place on the patio, a picnic table close to the door and a grill. Thank you for sharing your place. Can’t wait to plan another stay.

Lets start out by saying we all had a great time!
We were a little dissapointed that the beach wasnt right outside the door as portrayed. It was only a couple hundred feet down a sidewalk between 2 houses. You are able to see the beach but the main view is of the yellow house infront of the rental.
The owners were amazing and super easy to get in contact with.
The price was great
Everything was tidy and was very roomy.
My only thing I would change about the home itself would be the staircase. Its steep and the steps are smaller than avg steps and a child could fall through the railing.
We had a great time and would definately recommend this to others and love to come back again when the weather is a bit warmer.

This house was so nice and clean. It was decorated nicely. The main level is nice and open. All rooms are a great size and the beds where so comfortable. It is in the perfect location with a beach a few steps away. It is with in walking distance to a few restaurants. It has a convenient park right across the street to walk your dog. Everything was perfect and I will definitely rent this house again when in the area.

We rented out unit #1 for four nights. The duplex is well managed and very clean and roomy. The steps to get to the bathroom and bedrooms are pretty steep but my older parents managed okay.
The beach area is a quick one minute walk down a small path and is very nice. You also have access to your own table and chairs on the concrete patio area.
Getting around is a breeze as everything you need is walking distance, including a Dollar General, several restaurants and the amusement park.
We all had a wonderful time and would rent again.

Very centrally located in Sylvan Beach, this two story cottage is great for kids and dogs. Small bedrooms, but good space downstairs. (Stairs are a bit treacherous for those not young- narrow and steep). Comfortable furnishings that would not be easily damaged by dogs or kids. Convenient park for walking dog.

The house was clean and just what we expected. It fit 4 adult and 4 teenagers just fine. We really loved the beachfront outdoor seating for dinner and hanging out with our friends and family.

We just went back for our second year. Love the beach access, and walking distance to everything. Didn’t realize the rides were only open from Thursday to Sunday, so we missed out on that. Property was clean and has all the amenities needed. Love being able to sit at the table while the kids played in the sand. Very relaxing. The couch could use some repairs, but no complaints. We had a great time again!

It was fantastic! Little confusing at first but we adjusted quickly. The locals told us we were about 2 weeks early before everything opened up so the amusement park was closed and restaurants had limited menus and hours but we really didn’t mind because the property was awesome! Very clean and quite. Felt like I was at home away from home. Animals are welcome and it is SO CLOSE to the beach and everything else in town. Definitely would recommend and stay again!

This place was fantastic for our needs. The owners were a delight to work with and the house was clean and comfortable. Not to mention, we had a view of the lake (albeit the house is in front of us, but we still had a good view). It was certainly late in the season and things were slow, but this has direct access to the beach (I don't know where you can swim though. I see signs that say swimming only allowed in areas with a lifeguard, but don't know where that is.) We enjoyed sitting at our patio table that is right off the beach. The beds were very comfortable. They have memory foam, but also have a firmness. I don't think I moved in my sleep our last night. Great sleep. The location is central to everything. We could walk to the Dollar General to get everything we needed for our meals and such. There is a park in front of the house and you can walk to several restaurants. A very enjoyable stay. I will say it is a lake house and as such is compact and the stairs to the bedrooms and bathroom are a bit steep and narrow. Not a problem for us, but if you have difficulty navigating stairs, it might be an issue.

My group stayed here as a home base for a fishing trip to Altmar, NY. The sun peeked out just long enough for us to take the short walk to the beach and soak up the last bit of summer before we headed to Salmon River for Autumn fishing. I'd imagine this is a desirable location during the on-season when everything is open. One tip: if you stay here in the off-season, keep the heat as low as possible at night because the bedrooms can get quite toasty. Overall, a great weekend. The host was super easy to work with and we had no trouble getting in, even though we were delayed several hours due to truck trouble. Great spot.

This property was amazing for a weekend getaway for myself and my friends. The property location is amazing, right next to the beach and within walking distance of many places in town. The patio right next to the beach was picture perfect and a great feature of this property. The house was very clean and great for the 3 adults that rented there for the weekend. We will definitely be looking to do it again in the future.
