If you are looking to stay in a very private beachfront setting, then definitely give this place a look. The house overlooks an expansive and low-pressure beach with plenty of outdoor activities possible. Miguel, the property manager, is wonderful and functions as your chef as well as performing any other errands you might need during your stay. The snorkeling right in front of the house is fantastic and the water stays relatively calm. You can't go wrong booking a stay at this house as long as you don't mind being 45 min or so away from town. We are definitely looking to go back!

Everything from the spacious, modern house which had sunrise views from every room; to Miguel, the property manager; to the swimmable beach where we could use the kayaks and paddle boards provided was perfection. Miguel took care of all our grocery shopping, cooking and arranged transportation. We had zero worries. We had a group of 10, 5 couples, and we had plenty room to be together, but also the house lots of areas to sneak off to to have time as a couple too. We will absolutely return. Thank you so much!!!

If you’re looking to really get away and unplug this is a great option but once you get to the house you’re not going to go anywhere you’re gonna eat your meals at the house go to the beach at the house so if you want to be able to walk around or go out for dinner this is probably not the vacation for you because you’re going to be very isolated This is if you are looking to get some rest and relaxation away from everything

I wanted to take a bunch of guy friends and my brother away for a 4-day weekend of relaxation in a beautiful beach location close enough to civilization but far away enough so we felt remote.
And this home on an almost private beach was truly what we wanted and so much more.
The home is pristine and clean with soft and comfortable linens and all the bedrooms air-conditioned, though most times the beautiful breezes entered the open sliding Fleetwood window/doors and kept us very comfortable when in the house. But much time was spent out of the house. There is an amazing and safe surf break right in front and an always swimmable beach just 100 feet away. There are panga fishing boats right outside to take you fishing. And there are 3 miles of uninterrupted sand beaches to explore on ATVs or by foot. And you can snorkel to a shipwreck with fish aplenty just 100 yards off the beach or maybe you want to take the 2-person kayak or paddle board or surf board or boogie board for a try.
But what also makes the home so magical is Miguel Sandoval, the home's caretaker, an excellent cook and an onsite concierge who will look after your crew with great pride and spirit.
I truly hope to return again with my friends or my family.

I've traveled all over the world. Stayed in many lovely locations. Read promises in ads that fell short. This amazing home, secluded location, spectacular setting, and superb manager, Miguel, made this one of the finest vacation experiences I have ever had. We had a family wedding in the area, so we had an extended family group staying at the house. From the moment we arrived, Miguel was not just the perfect house manager -- he was the perfect host for visitors like us who know nothing about the area. He made sure everything exceeded our wildest expectations. He made delicious morning breakfasts that we enjoyed while watching the surf from the family table, took groups snorkeling to the shipwreck off shore, pointed out the sites in the area that we could explore. He whipped up guacamole for us, brought us fresh catches from the fisherman fishing yards from the house, and grilled shrimp and fish on the grill and night. This is a home that is "off the beaten path" -- you will not be disturbed in your personal paradise! We had groups snorkeling, swimming, walking the gorgeous beaches, visiting the protected turtle hatchery nearby. For others, resting in a hammock with a book, or sunning by the serenity pool was the favorite "activity." The bedrooms are spacious and spread out throughout the vast home, and offer private balconies to sit and ponder sunsets and star-filled skies and wild horses that gallop the beach every morning. (Bring earplugs if you are sensitive to sleeping with pounding surf beneath you.") The younger children (and some older ones) loved feeding the donkeys that meander up and down the dirt roads. We had family members staying in various homes in the area, so we could easily drive to their locations for other festivities. It was slow-going on dirt roads -- but safe. Miguel even arranged for a massage therapist to spend an afternoon massaging us -- one after another -- while we "recovered" from our fun-packed days. When our days came to an end, Miguel arranged rides to the airport (about 90 minutes away) for those who didn't have cars. The best part was that this home -- and Miguel -- provided the perfect opportunity for our family (who live all over the US) to laugh, relax, celebrate and enjoy one another. I would highly recommend this home for those who want a vacation they'll never forget, and make a memory that will last a lifetime.

I came here on a large family trip for a wedding.
Our host, Miguel, went above and beyond.. making us incredible breakfasts in the morning, and fresh-made guacamole in the afternoons. He took us out snorkeling in front of the house to see the ship wreck, it was the hi light of the trip. The house is pretty fantastic too. Thank you Miguel.. thank you house!

We searched for a long time for a house in the Baja area that is on a quiet beach that is both safe to swim and to snorkel. This is it! The house is new, spacious, and beautiful. We had a total of 9 people (two families) and everyone found their space or hang out and relax.
The beach is gorgeous and very private. A small bay protects it from waves and wind and makes the beach safe for swimming and snorkeling (at least in November). There is a large sunken ship about 100 yards from the shore that attracts thousands of fish and creates a perfect snorkel spot. We were very fortunate to see whales, jumping sting rays, and baby sea turtles during our stay.
Miguel is the perfect host. He was a wonderful concierge that arranged activities for us (fishing, horseback riding, whale watching) as well as cooked delicious meals and took care of all our needs. He is super nice and everyone in our group enjoyed his company.
We look forward to returning for another visit soon.

I had the fortunate opportunity to stay at this magnificent villa in July. Upon arrival I was greeted by Miguel, the nicest and most accommodating house manager you'll ever meet anywhere. Miguel immediately gave me a tour of the house, a brief history lesson of the area and took the time to point out the surfing breaks in front of the house and nearby. This exceptional villa sits just above the sandy beach and amazing surf is just steps away. The villa is decorated very, very tastefully and is fully equipped with everything one needs when vacationing in Mexico. The views from every room will blow you away. The bedrooms are very private, big and air conditioned which is a must in July. The beds are very comfortable as is all the furniture. The showers are huge. The large kitchen, dining room and living room look out onto the deck with a beautiful pool and the ocean in the background. This villa is perfect for entertaining and can accommodate many couples or very big families. Miguel makes amazing margaritas, guacamole, salsa and chips. He served us breakfast each morning and had cold cervezas ready each afternoon after a long day in the ocean. My stay was one of the most peaceful and fun filled vacations I've ever been on. Not a single disappointment. I would highly recommend Playa Tortuga as a vacation destination for couples or families looking for an amazing spot in Mexico to relax, surf, play in the ocean, paddle board or just sit and read a good book. Thank you Miguel.
