The cabin was a perfect place to stay for our multi-family gathering in Bend. The house has everything needed to cook and to gather! The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked. It's warm, clean, and cozy. Jackie is easy to communicate with. The location is great!

Our families from Idaho and Montana converged in Bend for our annual get together. The accommodations are a cabin in a quiet area and a true home away from home.
Well appointed and appropriate. The owners quick response to questions, needs, and care for our family stay was amazing.
Warmly,
Mountaineers Reunion

We stayed here when we came to town for Bend's Winter PrideFest. The cabin was close enough to Old Bend/downtown that we were able to come and go easily, but remote enough that we could rest well and feel connected to nature. We might just have to come back for Winte Pride 2024!

The amzing view from the back patio was were everyone enjoyed their morning tea and coffee before heading to one of the many local activies. The two washers and dryers came in handy when we came back from hiking trips and trips to the river. Would definitely stay here again.

Pre-Christmas getaway
Your property fit us perfectly, with all the adults sleeping upstairs and kids down. There were a couple "cubby" areas that were really nice for breakout areas for different games and reading spots.

Deschutes Home
This home is cozy but needs some upgrades. Underneath the deck is open with no safety lattice, and our dog got underneath and got sick. I negated this with the owner as I had to pay for a blood test for the dog , and there was no offer to help out. No idea what’s under the deck and he was exposed to…the pavers around the deck are not level and have the potential for someone to get hurt.
The house itself is well equipped; however we were charged for a “missing set of sheets”, which we did not take.
All in all for what we paid, this was a bit disappointing.

Wonderful week in the woods
The cabin is comfortable, very well appointed, and the host Jackie goes above and beyond providing extra touches to make you feel like a cherished, welcome guest: From the basket of snacks, to the clear labels and instructions, to her timely, helpful and friendly correspondence. We loved sitting in the hot tub after a long ski day and look up into the tall pines. The kitchen has everything you need, the beds are comfortable, the the living room is cozy. Unfortunately the wood stove didn't work while we were there, but that would have been a perfect touch! The location is close to town for restaurants and shopping and not far from the mountain for adventures. We look forward to returning!

I’ll never rent this place again !!!!!!
This home on pictures it looks different then in real. The house is old and smells bad.
The spiders webs was almost in every corner.
I don’t think that it was sanitized before we arrived. It seems like the only thing they does , taking money from that house and from us. This house need a lots of work in side and out.
Hot tub not working as normal the water in hot tub no one changed for a long time (I’m not saying days I’m talking about years). The ground wire from hot tub loose not connect at all
Grill is dirty and it wasn’t enough gas to make some hot dogs on it .
Fire place broken there is some parts were laying
Make sure you read the agreement before you agree with it.
They are saying you rent this home AS IS that means no body cares about you just pay them money plus damage fee ???????
For that stuff you not take care of it , we paying damage fee ?????? Screw that service .
Under the beds trash some peace’s of carpets , wood .
You fired I don’t need your service anymore.
Do remodel, then offer it to people !

Exactly what we wanted
The house had 5 very comfortable rooms and we ended up only using 4 bedrooms as 2 family members didn’t make it. The beds And pillows were all Comfy and we slept well. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of plates, bowls, cups and utensils. Plenty of good size pots and pans to cook with since we ate all our meals in. We were welcomed with a basket of popcorn and Deschutes beer on the kitchen counter so thank you to our hosts! The deck was beautiful but a little chilly for us to use it over Christmas break so we would consider renting again maybe in the summer. The neighborhood was very quiet we would see deer every morning in the front yard. The hot tub was set at 104 but our kids said it was lukewarm so it probably needs adjustment. Overall we were extremely happy with our stay

At the start of our stay, I received a list of rules that are not on the actual listing at the time of this review. They weren't unreasonable but made clear they did not want any noise outside since "it is a working class neighborhood and that is why we do have the 10:00 quiet time rule." We came to Bend for a proposal, mountain biking, and local spots. The air quality was poor due to the fires (avoid Bend during fire season) which made us reluctant to spend time on the patio. The 2nd night, we were grabbing gear from our vehicle ~5 minutes after 10pm when the neighbors yelled at us to shut up. These same neighbors have tiny dogs that sit outside and bark non-stop while we were in their line of sight while loading our bikes. The owner rules state to bring barking dogs inside but no issue if the neighbors bark. The next morning, we were greeted by three dachshunds from the property to the North charging off leash at our dogs who were by our side on this property while their owner yelled at them. These dogs continually ran into our yard while we were walking our dogs. It's also sad to see three horses confined in such a small area - seems a bit like animal cruelty to me. The back door had a leak, so on Saturday when it rained, we had water coming into the house. Other items to be aware of at the time of our stay. The kitchen doesn't have a disposal, so be mindful with what you are cooking. The owners expect you to empty all the trash, start the laundry, and do all the dishes before you depart. You do not have river access from the property which on the map it looks like you might. The newly remodeled property floors creak and squeak, so hopefully some folks aren't up earlier than the others. The "Refrigerator - New with ice maker and cold water in the door" did not work. It stated coffee was included, it was not. The Keurig machine was missing the piece that funneled coffee into the mug so it would splash when using it. The two front bedrooms have sheer curtains that prevent you from changing and if a car drives by at night you will be hit with headlights. There is no closet in the third bedroom upstairs. Shared videos and photos with Vrbo to document.

Nice house, pictures are misleading, neighbors are rude

We spent some time with our children and grandkids at this property. It was very comfortable and allowed the room for the kids to play outside. The large deck area was perfect.

Amazing cabin in the woods to celebrate New Years & an engagement with my family!
The house was cozy and a nice stay! We had 4 families (8 adults, 4 kids) we went skiing at Mt. Bachelor over New Years and also celebrated an engagement while we were here! The kitchen is of good size and there are several areas throughout the house/the tri-level that makes it feel spacious/several areas that we facilitated in. The hot tub was nice after long day of skiing! We enjoyed our stay and would consider this nice place next time we come back to Bend!

Cozy multi-level home - a sweet time for 3 families
Our group - 6 adults and two young children had a fun 4 night stay. The dining table for 6 worked well for playing games. But at mealtime it was a bit awkward for 8.
The home entrance is on the top level - with 3 king bedrooms and 1 bath. The 2nd level - kitchen and dining room areas. Two more steps down - family room. The last, bottom level has a queen bedroom, children's double bunk room, bathroom and laundry area. The five bedrooms give flexibility for sleeping arrangements.
The home was clean and very well stocked - from firewood, real paper towels and Kleenex to food storage wraps.
Note: In the children's room, the two top bunks are best for older children - oddly, no ladders are provided. Our little ones stayed on the bottom bunks.
It was a fun family getaway home!

Family gathering in Bend, Oregon
The home was beautiful and the perfect size for our small family reunion. We had a family of two, a family of four and a family of five. We also had a total of two small dogs, one medium dog and one large dog. The homes location was great and peaceful. It cooled down while we were staying there and we were able to sit outside on the deck and listen to the thunderstorms and talk. Overall a beautiful and well kept home.
We do wish there had been more of a mention of the stairs in the home. We have older family members who had difficulty with so many stairs. Just a few are okay, but there are quite a few stairs in this home. Also, while we had plenty of towels they were smelling of mildew, even before we showered. I would really like it if housekeeping could wash them in hot water with either vinegar or color safe bleach to get rid of the smell.

Great place to stay in Bend
Great property with plenty of room. Was very clean and well stocked. You are about 15 mins from city center. I think it would be fantastic to give a few options on where you can get river access other than right downtown. House was great for our group of 3 families.

Cozy, quiet home with lots of amenities
Our family is spread throughout the Northwest and we rented the home as a meeting place for Christmas. It was perfectly cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy a Christmas away from home. Thank you!

Spacious, clean, and great location!
We had a great experience staying at Jackie and Doug's house. They even went out of their way to find us a pack 'n play AND a high chair for our two year old. We had a big group there (6 adults, 4 kids) and felt like we had plenty of room to spread out. Everything was very clean and taken care of. Everything was labeled very well and instructions were clear. We loved getting to use the hot tub and felt like the location gave us great access to the High Desert Nature Museum, Fly Fishing locations, and to Bend.
This house is great for large groups and kids. The rooms were super spacious and we loved the huge beds. I will note that it does have multiple levels with lots of stairs and may not be the best for little little kids or people with accessibility issues. Also, the bunk beds are probably not the safest I have ever seen. The top bunks have no ladder, no railing, and there is bare wood exposed that one of my nephews definitely got a splinter from.
Also, just be aware that the internet is rather slow/ doesn't work all the time and that both Verizon and AT&T struggled quite a bit here.
We would definitely recommend this house though and would definitely consider staying here again if we ever find ourselves back in Bend!

What a great place for a family get together!
Loved this place! With the 5 bedrooms and king size beds the adults slept very comfortable. We loved all the seating and little niches that people could go to and have conversations yet still be with everyone. The deck and view was awesome but due to weather we were unable to bbq or use....loved the fact there were so many tables and seating. The view was beautiful and was a great backdrop for family photos. The women (excellent cooks) were so impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked and equipped...they have everything! We also like the fact that everything is labeled, making everything easy to find. Being a card playing family we really liked the 4-5 decks of cards. I highly recommend, and would definitely use again!

Great spot while exploring Bend!
Jackie's place was perfect for our group while visiting Bend (10 min drive to downtown). All of the bedrooms were very comfortable and the whole place was lovely for a large group. The kitchen and grill were perfect for cooking and enjoying the fresh air. Would definitely recommend for a group stay!

Fantastic retreat after skiing and mtn biking
This cozy cabin was a perfect fit for our two families over Easter. The kids had their pick of rooms including a bunk room which the girls took.
The well-cared-for hot tub brought much relief after long days of skiing and mtn biking for all of us.
The kitchen was well stocked with everything you’d need to prepare almost any meal. And when there were leftovers, there were storage containers that made it easy to take a lunch the next day skiing.
At night we piled in the cozy living room and watched a movie on our Roku. Only some of us fell asleep in the oversized comfy chairs with blankets.
The property is lovely and is situated in a way that you hardly noticed the neighbors... even when you are out on the deck enjoying a book.
Town was a little further than we thought, we were hoping for a walk or even a bike ride to the Old Mill District. It was about a 10-20min drive into Bend and about 40 min to Bachelor.
The house was truly wonderful and made a fun trip with friends even more memorable.
