We went for our son’s graduation from basic and he loved looking at all the memories in the house of the owners army career. The Ranger House was perfect for us!! We would definitely stay there again!!
6.0 / 10.0
The house is in a nice location. The kitchen is nice, but the bedroom, bathrooms, and living area could use some updates. The sheets, towels, and bedding are old and thin, and the furniture is also worn. The carport in the back yard is falling in. The owner was nice and responsive, but this house needs some major improvements and a thorough cleaning, especially in the bathrooms.
2.0 / 10.0
Upon entering there were dead roaches on the carpet. First bathroom had dead bugs in the tub. Baseboards throughout the home are filthy. Master bedroom shower had mold and mildew in it. Departed the home immediately and reached out to the host who did not answer. I left a message and Never Heard back from the host. I finally reached out to evolve, sent in pictures of the roaches and filth, and after four hours of calls with Evolve they refunded me. I had no place to go as everything was booked bc of Fort Moore graduations. At 10 pm I found a hotel. It was the most miserable experience ever. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY.

Very nice home. Had everything necessary but the house wasn't very clean. Very dusty, hair in the master shower, finger prints on mirrors, sliding glass door and the appliances were pretty dirty also. But we made the most of it, nice place, nice yard.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The fenced in backyard and large dining room was a huge hit for our family! The house was very spacious and tidy! We would definitely stay here again when visiting the area. The neighborhood was very quiet and enjoyable as well.

Thats how our family summed up our stay! ‘We made memories!’ We had the best time together! We came for our sons graduation from OCS. We all fit very comfortably in the house. We were 6 adults and two kids! The neighborhood is lovely. We felt safe and at home! Our graduate was able to relax and we were all able to spend well needed time together.
My sons were very impressed with Issac’s displays of accomplishments. They ‘ooed’ and ‘awed’! We were all very honored to stay in Issac’s ‘RANGER’ home.
The grounds were well maintained. The kids enjoyed the outside and the daily morning squirrel visits. We have no squirrels in Hawaii so that was a thrill for them. They also enjoyed playing on the swing set!
The large TV, comfy large couch and pull out day bed was comfortable for all of us to watch a movie. We enjoyed meals and games in the large dinning area. The location was perfect! We were 20 minutes to Fort Moore. We went on and off base easily. Also, 20 min to the very pleasant town of Columbus along the Chattahoochi river. Super cool! We road bikes along the river then had a snack. The family favorite was to the Safari! We drove through the safari and fed the animals! Crazy! The giraffe stuck its head in the car!! There were all sorts of animals!
My daughter cleans vacation rentals and my son does long term rental in Hawaii. They both felt this home was priced perfectly for the location and condition of the home.
We enjoyed our stay! Mahalo!

This place was spacious and cozy and did the trick for me and my friends. There was 7 of us total and there was plenty of room.

Great older home in a quiet neighborhood, 15 minutes from Fort Moore. We enjoyed the dining area which was large enough to accommodate our larger than normal family as we visited with our son graduating from Advanced Individual Training at Fort Moore.

It made us all feel at home. I town for my sons OCS graduation. Short distance to the base. My dad loved sitting on porch watching the wildlife and walking the neighborhood. My grandkids enjoyed the backyard which had a swing set. Definitely stay there again.

The owner or project manager has neglected this house and property. Upon arrival the carpet was stained and hasn’t been cleaned. If the house had been cleaned appropriately I wouldn’t say anything. But…the house needed a good cleaning. The carpet was so dirty we had to put sheets down on the floor for my 9 month old grandson to play on. The kitchen ovens needed to be cleaned one does work. I rewatched all the dishes prior to cooking. After seeing how the house looked. The windows were dirty, the window sills had not been cleaned, blinds where they had them were dirty or broken. Upon arrival my daughter found hair in the bathroom, dried Ramen noodles under the bed, hair in her bed.The mattress’s had stains, pillows were stained yellow. Water marks on ceiling leads to mold. The house had a smell across between urine and ashes left in the fireplace. The house had military memorabilia. This had us questioning how could this property be so neglected? The outside needed attention as well. The rusted railing off of back porch is a hazard waiting to happen. We left a day early. You would think after Covid the house would be cleaned appropriately. The house has potential if it were updated. (The couch was so worn you could hardly get out of it) Over all, If we could have found a hotel to accommodate our family we would have left.
I have never left a review this bad. However, if it prevents someone else who takes pride in their home and their surroundings I had to be honest.

Two months ago our family stayed here to have time with our soldier after his Turning Green ceremony. We haven't stopped talking about this home ever since!
Features we loved:
•The Ranger decor, which was an instant hit with our soldiers and us.
•Spaciousness of the living area with comfortable couches and plenty of seating for our group.
•A large table with benches, perfect to share meals with other buddies from his platoon. This generously sized eating area was a selling point for us.
•The dining room window seat, which became a favorite relaxing spot for our soldier
• A wonderful well-stocked kitchen with lots of counter space (flatware and dishes to serve 8)
•An open feel to the carpeted living room where many games were played on the floor and Hot Wheels race tracks were laid out.
•Extremely soft, comfortable linens and supportive mattresses...we all slept so well.
•A walk-in closet that thrilled our preteen daughter.
•An inviting porch swing, with both a gas grill and charcoal grill available...again, these were important needs for us at this occasion.
•Beautiful rose bushes and landscaping.
• A basketball hoop, which sold our teen boy on this place.
•A quiet neighborhood within a few minutes of any restaurant or store we needed.
We could not have had a more perfect experience. The host was excellent with communication, and we are already booked here again for our soldier's graduation this summer.
I cannot say enough good things about this home and host.

We enjoyed our stay in this roomy house. Plus, it is conveniently located.

Overall it was a good experience. There were issues of squirrels running in the attic. One bed had a smell of cat urine. The kitchen was well equipped. Over all it was a good place to bring our soldier for rest and spend time with family

Very nice and clean.
8.0 / 10.0
Adequate, older home, that would be improved with attention to detail, such as replacing broken mini blinds, window coverings in dining area, accurate pictures of living area (pictures showed hardwood or laminate flooring when in fact it was carpet), and more detailed cleaning. Basic supplies were plentiful, such as paper products, coffee, and cooking utensils. Bedding was clean. Quiet neighborhood, although not far from some questionable areas. Booking and communication was easy and timely responses to questions.

We really enjoyed staying at the Ranger House. We were visiting our daughter going to school in the area. The backyard was great for our puppy & the spacious house allowed us to spend time in our own space as needed. The house had ample kitchen supplies, towels, & stuff. Thank you! We really enjoyed our early family Christmas celebration in your house!

Check in was super smooth. House was clean and comfortable. We rented for our sons turning green ceremony at Ft Benning. 10 min to the main gate at Ft Benning. The beds we’re comfortable, and the house was spacious. My son enjoyed the Ranger decorations as well, We have already talked of re renting for his graduation later this year.
10.0 / 10.0
After the Blue Ceremony, we were able to have my son come back to the house and play some board games, watch a movie and relax before we had to take him back to the base. The next day we were able to get up in time, clean up, and get to the graduation in time. It was a very convenient place to stay. I would recommend over any hotel stay.

Great for the family, had a keurig which was nice. Had to strip all the beds and wash the towels and take the garbage to the curb which we did not find out until checkout so we were very busy before we left. Next door neighbor was very nice said hello when we saw her working in her yard which was very clean. Beds were comfy and the Army Ranger decor was very cool and my son explained everything it meant that he had accomplished. In all it was good just wish we found the book earlier to prepare for checkout. We did have to call evolve to check in as we did not hear anything about how to gain access to the house however they were helpful.
10.0 / 10.0
We came out for our son’s turning green ceremony and we were pleasantly surprised. The pictures and description didn’t do the place justice.
Pros: Easy to get to everything: Base was less than 10 minutes to the main gate, stores and restaurants within a couple miles, 10-15 minute drive to the National Infantry Museum and River Walk; Decent neighborhood; super comfortable beds (all of them); lots of things provided including extra pillows, blankets, and air mattress, toilet paper, paper towels, spices, dish soap, detergents, toaster, kcups; an extra full size refrigerator in the laundry room; a double oven; smart tvs; good size back porch (bring camping chairs); 2 trucks were able to fit in the driveway with room for another vehicle; the wooden farm style table with bench seats in the dining room was huge and easily could fit more than 8.
Cons: The bathroom did not have any working electrical outlets and some of the other outlets were a little questionable; the beds and house overall were clean but could definitely use a heavy duty cleaning around the base boards, blinds, and carpet; there was a little issue with a knocking noise coming from the air conditioner (not constant) and some condensation built up creating some wet carpet, but the owner was more than willing to have someone come out immediately to look at it. Know that there are only 8 plates and forks, so you might want to bring or buy some paper products if you don’t feel like doing dishes (not necessarily a con).
We would definitely come back without hesitating! The owner was great and the house was a perfect place for us to come and relax with our soldier. I also loved the fact that we were able to bring his dog (a boxer) with us so he could see her and there was a fenced in yard, a doggie door, and room in the laundry room for her cage.

My husband, daughter and son-in-law were here for my grandson's turning green ceremony and family weekend. The house was perfect! It's located in a nice, quiet neighborhood with plenty of eating establishments, both local and chain restaurants and shopping nearby. The house has the perfect size living room and dining area for visiting with family and friends. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the dishes and cookware you need for cooking a good meal. It really was the perfect place to relax and spend quality time with our soldier. Big plus...it's only 15-20 minutes from Ft. Benning. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Columbus GA!!

Worst VRBO experience ever!
The property was not clean! I arrived for my sons graduation and was shocked to see the property was in such disrepair. Leaks in dining room ceiling, shower knob for hot water wouldn’t turn off without wrench. I went out immediately and purchased candles to cover odor . I contacted owner due to AC vent being completely covered in dust and just overall cleanliness. Sent photos etc. The grass wasn’t cut so we couldn’t use backyard for cornhole as planned. We had to clean patio and house just to be able to stomach our stay . The owner offered to come cut the grass and clean , however I declined since we were there as a family to celebrate. I left a day early just due to I would rather travel home than stay another night there after my son reported back for duty. My advice is don’t waste your money on this property. I am still shocked how bad it was.

Pleasant stay
We were staying in Columbus for my son's basic training graduation. The house was about a 10 minute ride to base in a nice neighborhood. With 7 people there was plenty of space for everyone. I'm so glad we decided to stay here and not in a hotel.. it was a great experience.

It was a nice house but there were no curtains at the windows. There is also a package that was left at the door, we put it on the table.

Very roomy and conveniently located
This home offers 3 bedrooms and two baths. The living room is very large as is the dining room which offers a very large table with ample seating. The fenced-in backyard with a swing set was a perfect place for our kids to get outside and play. The beds were very comfortable!

This was a great house for the whole family while visiting our son stationed at Fort Benning! Cool memorabilia displayed by the owner who was an Army Ranger. Owner was super kind and made sure we had what we needed!

Filthy and Smelly
This home was VERY dirty and the bedrooms reeked of urine. It could be a nice place to stay if better maintained. The floors, walls, shelves, cabinets, everything needs cleaning. It’s an old home, but doesn’t mean it has to be so run down. The carpet (which isn’t included on the outdated pictures) is relatively new, but already stinks. My daughter spent 24 hours vomiting during our trip. While I can’t confirm it had anything to do with the home, it certainly is a coincidence considering how filthy the place was and she wasn’t exposed to anyone who might have passed on an illness.
