Very nice cabin, clean and functional, well suited for our stay in Marble. We loved it!
5.0 / 5.0
Property was nice if a bit dated, no AC but that didn't matter since it was so cool in the valley. Everything in town was within walking distance. Very quiet and semi secluded.
My only issues were trying to open the window above the master bed. We arrived at night so I couldn't see that it was screwed in from the outside, tried a bit too long trying to get it open. The ceiling fans are real loud. And the top of the spiral stairs are very secure but not attached on one side so they move alot when using them, which is nerve wracking with teenagers
Over all 5/5 would stay again

We enjoyed our stay. There is no phone reception or wi-fi for several miles, and we really missed it, but that was disclosed in the description. The cabin was clean and comfortable.

Slight lack of convenience due to lack of internet/wifi, but the town and location cannot be beat. Would stay there again if available.

We did not need ti contact the hosts during our stay. The cabin was exactly as advertised. Did not miss having internet access. It was a great getaway!

We stayed four nights and made an excellent decision. It is in a remote town about 45 mins from gas and groceries. Great choice of you’re considering.

The property was great, in a very remote area and has zero cell service and WiFi within about 45 mins of the place. We arrived at night in a snowstorm and it was very difficult to find the place, but found it after driving up and down the road 5-6 times. The town is pretty much closed in the winter, no restaurants and the general store wasn’t open either so make sure to bring everything you need, otherwise you have to drive to Redstone or Carbondale to pick anything up. But what a gorgeous drive it is there!

Very well managed, clean and no mice. In other cabins I've stayed in, there was a feisty mouse....but at the Hideaway it was absolutely wonderful....hated to leave.

It was exactly what we hoped for. Charly was nice, and the place was clean and very quiet. A good location to explore from.

Overall, the property was adequate for a short stay. The vibe was like staying at your grandpa's cabin in the woods: dated/mis-matched decor, some overdue repair work, and a bit grungy. The bed was very soft (much too soft for my companion and me) and felt as though it was tilted downward at the head of the bed; we decided to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed, which helped.
The positives for this property: super hot water and lots of it at high pressure, location in a stunningly gorgeous mountain town, and check-in process.
If the property owner would invest in some repairs, revise the kitchen design, update the decor, and give it a good deep cleaning, I could recommend it.

It was the perfect weekend getaway location. Great location everything in town is walkable. If you want to grill make sure you bring some coals.

The property was perfect for five. The neighborhood was quiet, and we all really enjoyed having the disconnect from Wi-Fi and Internet. Great break!

We had a great time so very beautiful in Marble. The cabin needs a bit of work and it would have been nicer if the windows were cleaned ton the inside to enjoy the beautiful views. It was truly great time.

Our stay was nice and we enjoyed it very much. The bathroom was disappointing in that there was residue and some signs of mildew around the tub. And water damage along the baseboard. However, the caretaker assured us they are working on getting that fixed. Everything was very clean and well organized. We very much appreciated the state of the cabin apon arrival and recommend it for your visit!

The cabin had all we needed. Kitchen was well equipped and the cabin was big enough for us to host our son and his children for meals several times(they live in Marble.). Nice location too across from the school.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Would be great for a family. Loved our visit with the beautiful fox daily.
Only thing I would change is they need a much larger tv.

We loved staying in Marble! The house was well equipped, and nicely maintained. There is no WiFi, or cell service, which was great for us. There was also several board and card games at the house which we thoroughly enjoyed.

The property has no cell service or Wifi it does have a land line That's fine if you tell people that before they book the property. When you leave that little nugget of information until the the day before the reservation starts it just comes across as really shifty. huge hassle some people have jobs lives and responsibilities that don't them to be off the grid for extended periods of time. This will probably be the last time I use Travelocity really disappointed.

Place with promises not carry out
This place needs to be updated ASAP everything smalls old, you will find towels in better condition at good will than in this place a lot of things don’t work, there are rats, bathtub leaks water all over the floor, the caffe place is close you are incomunicated for days, the barbecue restaurant hasn’t been open for days and if you want to watch Netflix past 10:00pm your not able to do it because they turn it off.
The place is not expensive but you feel disgusting.
I know the owner knows what’s going on this place someone keeps calling for days.. I don’t go on vacation to see someone in the house trying to repair things that they should have done before people stays.
There is not way I would recommend nor rent this place EVER AGAIN

Secluded and relaxing
We stayed here because we wanted to get away from the busy day to day. We also wanted to hike to Crystal Mill (which we did and it was amazing!) When we arrived the housekeeper hadn't been finished so the previous guests sheets were in the washer and the trash bags hadn't been replaced. Not a huge deal for us. We dried the bedding, made the beds and replaced the trash bags. There is no cell service nor any place to get coffee, milk or anything for that matter if you stay after Oct 28. We didn't realize this and went the weekend the famous BBQ place closed down. The stay was peaceful and rejuvenating. The dogs behind the place barked every night around 1 am but I believe they were scaring off the wildlife so I was ok with it! Stock up on groceries in Glenwood Springs or Carbondale. I believe there is a coffee shop that has basic necessities and wifi (you can park in their lot and use wifi) but they were not open the entire time we were there. The owner of the home was easy to reach. Overall just what we needed and would recommend if you're looking for a similar experience. Also very dog friendly.

Great Place!
Clean and great location, I towed a trailer with my side by side and had plenty of room to park. Will definitely try and stay again.

Awesome town cozy place
Unique community, beautiful views, lots of choices for things to explore. Comfy cabin not too fancy but not lacking a thing. Check out the quarry and the history.

Grungy
The outside picture you posted on your site shows a neat setting. We found the deck dirty and with lots of old hodge podge furniture. There was a old truck parked on the property as well.
Inside the kitchen and bathrooms needed updating. Furniture upholstery looked like it had never been cleaned in all it's 30 years.
When I cleaned "a drip" on kitchen floor with a wet paper towel, the towel showed the floor had not been cleaned.
The location should reveal that the house is across the street from the Charter School and Marble Museum. This cabin is hardly a Hide a way.
Neighbors small yipping dogs to the north were left outside and barked at every movement on the street.
The positives about this house is that it stayed surprisingly cool during the very warm days that we were there. We also benefited from having the master bedroom on the main floor.

Beautiful and lovely
The house is very clean love the view outside on the porch plenty of rooms for family to stay. Property is off of the main street where people travel. Neighborhood is quiet. Definitely recommend

Warm and Quiet
The house was warm, cozy, and relaxing. We cooked a meal, and the kitchen had what we needed. There is no WiFi at the house, which was great to disconnect, though you’ll need to make sure to check in and get check-out instructions ahead of time because you won’t be able to get them at the house. A local dog came by to say hi while we were coming in from a hike.

Beautiful!!!
This place was perfect for my family of 5. It was far enough away where we can completely disconnect from our technology and speaks quality time together. Nice people, clean house, and beautiful views.

Excellent location. Very peaceful. Friendly community. A great place for a get away
We had a lovely time in the quaint town of Marble. We hiked, relaxed, and walked the neighborhood. This is a fantastic dog friendly area. We look forward to visiting the area again.

Lovley house
We were happy about the house. Nice and a lot of space. There is everything you need in the house. Charlie was already waiting at the house wenn we arrived. Very friendly. But every night was there a dog barking very loud. We didnt sleep a lot. And there is no wifi. That was okey, but also no cellphone coverage. You have to drive to a store for wifi. The people are very nice in this little Village! And you can hike a lot. There is a beautiful lake just around the corner.

The Marble Hideway is awesome!
Easy check in. Was able to use the cabin as a hub for hiking and exploring the Crystal Mill. It was awesome! Friendly town and host. Very attentive when needed and very nice people. A must do in Colorado!

I was enticed to visit Marble, CO due to the jeep tours offered online that my wife was interested in; however, we learned the Jeep Tour was shutdown for the season, as well as another rental service we were interested in as a backup. This is not the property's fault. The cabin was clean and nice, had some DVD games and other games in the closet that you could play, which was nice since there was no Wi-Fi service at the cabin, nor is there cellphone service anywhere in Marble. We ended up playing a lot of card games. The town calls themselves a "cell free zone" - this is important, if you think you are going to be using your laptop to surf online or make calls or send/receive SMS messages with your phone. The only access in town was at a place called The Hub (which was also closed, but had a Wi-Fi password posted in the window). This is your only means communicating with the outside world. This is not reachable by this cabin, so you have to make your way down the road to access this portal when you need it. A landline phone in the cabin would have been helpful for emergencies. If you value your privacy, you might not like some of the windows in the living room and kitchen having no blinds or drapes, but the bedrooms do have blinds. The kitchen is fully furnished - it had everything we needed for cooking, making coffee, etc. We only used the bottom bedroom and bathroom, but can report the water pressure was good for the shower and water heated quickly. Entertainment: The flat screen TV in the living room has Dish network, a DVD player (for the games and some movies provided). There is a stereo unit also available.Food/Groceries: We ended up going to the nearest Wal-Mart in Glenwood Springs for groceries. The local BBQ joint there (Slow Groovin' BBQ) is great and I highly recommend it. They were exercising proper social distancing for placing orders and eating outside on provided tables/benches. A short drive to Redstone has a great pizzeria (Propaganda Pies) if you're into pizza.Mice: we had an issue with mice on our visit - we were told by locals that due to the drought, they are seeking water and will be aggressive to get into places where they can find it. Day 1: heard mice rumbling around in the evening - Day 2: droppings found all over the countertop, although we did not have food out. Day 3: no droppings on counter, but found in the bottom cabinets. We received bait and a couple of mousetraps upon request from the groundskeeper.Overall, the place was quiet, well-insulated and comfortable, and had the amenities we needed. Again, not having any kind of phone access from the cabin was disappointing.
