HOME DESCRIPTION
This vintage 1950's home was beautiful to begin with, but over the last two years, it's had most every surface refinished and remodeled, with custom touches like hand-crafted stair rails, a cozy master reading nook, and a Three Bears wood-sawn mural.
The main living area welcomes you with faux-fur draped log couches, a brick hearth, and a cute little twin bed in the corner for kids to nap or play on in the company of lounging parents. The fully-remodeled adjacent kitchen features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.
HOME AMENITIES
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, oven, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle, dishes, glassware and cookware.
Up the beautifully-crafted stairs and around the corner sits the large master bedroom alone on the third floor. Inside, a log-framed 4-poster bed awaits to wisk you away to dreamland. Before you drift off though, sit back with a book in the custom reading nook that we think is its own little dreamland.
Walk downstairs from the living room and you'll find three beds (one twin-over-twin bunk and one double bed), and a hand-made wood mural of the Three Bears coming back home to a sleeping Goldilocks.
The two bathrooms are fully tiled in unique patterns and feature stone counters and marble vessel sinks.
Outside the main room bay window is a spacious deck high above street level with views of the forest and ridgeline beyond.
We've been steadily working on this cabin, and all those hand-crafted wood touches you'll see are our way of paying homage to a long-lost art. We hope we've created a memorable place for you and your loved ones to relax and enjoy.
Twin Peaks is 4 miles (about 10 minutes) away from Lake Arrowhead Village, and set about a 1,000 feet higher in the forest ridge above the lake. It truly is an alpine setting. With giant White Firs (the Christmas Tree-looking ones) that only grow at this elevation, and that quaint small-town feel that surprisingly still exists, we fell in love with this place.
*And with our National Forest Vehicle Adventure Pass, you can park/visit any one of the many US Forest Service trails and recreation areas. There are a wide variety to choose from, ranging from easy, walking trails to more advanced hikes to rock formations & hot springs!
GUEST ACCESS
All of it! Guests have full access to the entire house. The cabin is setup to be your home away from home.
Note: There is one storage closet adjacent to the entry level bathroom that is locked and not accessible to guests.

Loved our stay here!

Had a great stay at 3 bears. Location is convenient to everything we wanted to do. We were very comfortable and house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

This cabin in the woods is every bit as charming, authentic and comfortable as the pictures indicate. Check in was very simple and the instructions were concise and complete. The Wi-Fi was easily accessed and worked great. All kitchen appliances worked just as they should. The upgrades to the bathrooms were very well done creating a spa-like feel. We slept in the upstairs bedroom which had an incredibly comfortable memory foam mattress. That's what we have at home and when traveling we are often disappointed by a less than comfortable mattress but in this case it was just like being back home in our cozy bed. This was probably covered in the owners listing but I would repeat that accessibility requires climbing about three dozen stair steps to get into the home. I think this is very common for the area - you're either going to climb upstairs or downstairs to get from the parking spot to the front door. Also, if you do choose to sleep in the upstairs bedroom, you should know that you will have to go downstairs to the main level for the bathroom. These are just facts and not criticisms. Our stay was great and we would definitely stay here again.

The cabin was fantastic! A unique home-feeling experience. Functional and comfortable for any type of family situation or gathering. Close to the local sites and amenities. We hope to visit again in the future.
Host provided great recommendations for the area, was friendly and very easy to communicate with.
Look no further.

Didn’t get to stay because of a historic blizzard but they were very nice and helped figure out a solution!

This was a such a special trip! We got to visit Santa’s Village for a bit of nostalgia and decided to make it a multiple day stay. I found 3 Bears and it was exactly what we hoped for in a beautiful, cozy, clean and safe spot for the family! We had cozy fires, got to make delicious meals and play in the yard. This place everything we needed and the owners are so thoughtful with excellent communication. We’ll be staying here again and I highly recommend!!

This cabin was perfect for my family of 5. The kids loved the downstairs room and the upstairs room was so beautiful and peaceful . Everything in the cabin made us feel at home and cozy . The place was super clean, and the way the cabin is decorated makes it really restful and relaxing. Great family memories!

Cozy cabin
David and Patricia were awesome hosts. They were in constant contact and great at suggesting things to do. The cabin was amazing as well, roomy but still cozy. The cabin especially the living room was not only aesthetically pleasing but warm and cozy that you expect in a cabin experience. We spent our nights cuddled up by the fireplace enjoying quality family time. Definitely recommend!

A Cozy Cabin Getaway
We stayed at Three Bears Cabin for a Father’s Day trip and really enjoyed our experience. From the get-go, David and Patricia were very kind and helpful. Before we even arrived, they provided us with a lot of great recommendations for great views and eats, several of which were wonderful experiences. The cabin was very cozy. Though it was unseasonably hot during our stay, the ample fans helped keep us comfortable most of the time. Since heat rises, sometimes sleeping in the Master wasn’t an option (even with fans!) and I slept on the main floor. The Internet was strong and we loved watching movies on Netflix and HBO Max. The furniture is beautiful, but not exactly the epitome of comfort. The kitchen was small, but had everything we needed to cook meals including some very nice pans. The deck was very nice to sit on, especially at night. There were lots of spiders around, including some in the house, but it is the mountains after after all. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return for a winter getaway!

2nd time there and was what we needed .... again
If you need to get out of the city or just need some time away this is the place. We have been here twice, yes twice, no need to look elsewhere because everything you need is here. We thank Patricia and David for keeping a place like this available for us.

We loved the place. The cabin is cozy, warm and stylish. Kitchen is equipped with everything you might possibly need to create wholesome family meals. We also found complimentary wine, hot coco mix and popcorn bags. Perfect for the winter get away! The real wood fireplace added a lot of ambiance to our winter evenings. The hosts offer National Forest Adventure Pass for 2 cars, which is incredibly thoughtful and gracious. We personally have California Explorers Pass, which is of no use in the area. You pretty much need NAFP to do any of the hikes and sightseeing. We are definitely coming back!

Adorable and comfortable. We really want to come back.
My wife and I just finished a 4-night stay here, and we were more than pleased. This place is incredibly cozy. I highly recommend this cabin for either a romantic getaway, or for a family with kids. It was exactly what we wanted for our stay, and we certainly hope to come back. Patricia and David communicated with us incredibly well, including helping us navigate the treacherous drive we had due to a massive storm with 18” of snow and road closures. If you are coming up in the winter, carry chains or you will be stopped.
The cabin is very much like the pictures. The living room is spacious and has several couches for lounging, along with a lovely wood burning fireplace. Speaking of which, it is a very large fireplace, and even with my skills it was hard to keep a fire going. Definitely bring a few Duraflames to help you get started, as someone else also mentioned, though I recommend kindling as well.
A reviewer from a couple of years ago said that there was no TV or internet. That is no longer the case. The wifi is excellent and there is a huge flat screen in the living room for streaming, with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, etc., just no local stations.
The kitchen is brand new and adorable, though a bit small. Only one person can cook at a time in there. There were plenty of basic spices, oil, sugar, cocoa, coffee, coffee filters, etc.
The master bath is brand new and absolutely beautiful. Luxury towels abound. There is a similar bath on the bottom floor, attached to the “kids” room, which has nicely appointed some bunk beds.
A couple of points to note:
While much of the cabin is new, the owners are straight up about this being a work in progress. Definitely think of this as a true cabin, with some luxury appointments. There are some draughts from leaky windows, etc., which we actually enjoyed, and the heat works well. If you are here in the winter, bring some cozy slippers. We had lots of cuddle time on the couch under a blanket.
The Master Bedroom is huge, though is up a steep staircase, while the master bath is on the main floor below, with the living room. A bit annoying, but also fun.
Pros: Amazing and cozy cabin, ideal for a romantic getaway or for a family with a few kids.
Cons: If you need to worry about the cons, then you are too picky. It is a cabin. This place is awesome. The only real concern for some people is there is a lot of stairs to get into the cabin.

So Cozy
We loved this cabin! It was so cozy and comfy and exactly as advertised. We had a little bit of trouble with a toddler wanting to go up and down the stairs but it was super easy to block the entrances with the couches, haha. It was perfect!

Charming! Hosts are great!
This property is so quaint and has been updated so well. We really enjoyed our stay and especially loved our nights out on the deck. David and Patricia were incredibly prompt with returning our messages to them. They were also very gracious when we had some additional feedback. They made check in easy peasy!!!!! It was an unseasonably hot weekend while we were there but they provided high speed fans in the house that helped a lot! I bet this property is absolutely stunning during Autumn, Winter and Spring!

Peaceful, Beautiful Alpine view!
This was our first visit at 3 Bears Cabin but the second overall stay with David & Patricia! They are such wonderful hosts and go up and beyond for their guests. We loved the 3 bears cabin, our toddler loved the Goldilocks & 3 Bears theme they have set up with the plush bears and storybook to read to the children! :) The deck had plenty of seating and had such beautiful views of the alpine trees. Very peaceful and quaint! As mentioned there is no tv or WiFi: but we had great reception with our phone service. Plenty of games to play with the family. Will definitely come back again, thank you David & Patricia for another wonderful stay! P.S the Towels.... AMAZING!

Wonderful and peaceful place to relax. The house was very welcoming upon arriving. They had left the lights on so we could find the place easy and arrive having the lights on. They had a lake pass along with an map to laces around the area. The house is well maintained and no issues with it.

Our stay at Three Bears Cabin could not be any better. The cozy location and peaceful tranquility of the location was wonderful and needed. The owners were courteous, accommodating, super easy to work with and prompt in responding to all of our inquiries (even the minute ones). I would highly recommend booking your next stay at the Three Bears. Quick and easy access and comfortable and peaceful stay while in the Lake Arrowhead area.

Original Charm + Tasteful Updates + Excellent Hosts = Awesome Cabin
My family has been using VRBO for over 10 years throughout the west coast/ southwest and Patricia and David handily rank among the best hosts! Generous with communication, local access and welcome treats, one could not ask for anything more of their hosts!
The cabin is a 1933 charmer that exudes original character alongside modern, yet thoughtful and tasteful updates to both bathrooms and kitchen (photos do not do cabin justice). We are family of six with four young children ages 3-12 and the cabin accommodated us nicely. We utilized the bunk and single bed in the downstairs bedroom as well as the queen and built-in day bed (for our 3 year-old but will easily accommodate a larger child) in the master. There is also an additional single in the bedroom that actually came in handy for mid-day child naps.
The cabin is likewise tastefully decorated, comfortable and a pleasure to be in. It is easily among the cleanest rentals I have ever had. Verizon cell/ wifi service was excellent (as it was throughout the crestline/ arrowhead area). Due to food allergies and diet restrictions, we prepare and eat most meals in and although the kitchen is on the smaller side, we had no problem making all of our meals with seating for eight. Also plenty of comfortable seating on the large deck. There is a convenience store just down the street and the town Blue Jay with a Jensen's and RiteAid is an easy two miles away and Arrowhead Village with a Stater Brothers is also an easy four miles away for all your shopping needs. Cabin is also easily accessible off of Highway 189 and although the driveway is little steep it is not on one of the many scary, sometimes terrifying parking decks common to other area cabins.
Lastly, the wall heater in the living room more than adequately heats the main floor and second floor master but does not reach the second bedroom on the lower floor (hosts provided space heaters that we used in the afternoon to warm rooms for the night...kids reported sleeping comfortably). In addition, if physical accessibility is a concern, note there are stairs from car to front door and again to each of the two bedrooms once inside (one floor up, one floor down). Again, kids never complained.
So happy to know we now have an excellent cabin available nearby for quick family getaways.

Great cabin. Great hosts. High in the mountains but nice views on the way up and down.
The driveway is steep and can get tricky if icy but melts fast. Big spacious cabin with nice kitchen and bathrooms.

Amazing retreat
My husband and I loved our stay at the Three Bears Cabin. The house was beautiful with views of the treetops and mountains. We cooked fantastic meals in the beautiful kitchen, relaxed by the fire, drank coffee on the gorgeous deck while soaking in the view, and felt like we were living the life of luxury in the beautiful master bedroom on the top floor. The water was hot, and the towels fluffy and soft. In short, this was everything you could ask for!
In addition, the house is within walking distance of a small market for picking up anything you may have forgotten or bundles of firewood for the fireplace. Patricia also gave us a great list of things to do in the area. We felt very welcome and provided for.
I loved not having a TV or wifi. We did get good cell reception, however, so we were still in touch in case there was anything urgent! We'll be back! Thank you, Patricia and David!

Beyond our expectations in every aspect!
This was the most beautiful cabin to escape to for a few nights. I have tons of compliments and don't know where to begin.
The owners (Patricia and David) were beyond hospitable. They sent welcome emails with tips and recommendations for the area which was so helpful since we had never been. They were very attentive to us and responded with such warmth and kindness.
The cabin was stunning. It was beyond beautiful; from the quaint neighborhood, to the outside of the cabin nestled in pine trees with mountain views, to the warm indoor environment. It is decorated so beautifully and thoughtfully, it's warm and cozy inside with plenty of heat and roaring fires in the fireplace. The home was been tastefully and beautifully remodeled, but they've left original charm. The craftsmanship is beautiful. Even things like the blankets, beds, and towels were luxurious!
Our family was truly able to have wonderful memories and bonding time here. We played hours and hours of board games in front of the warm fire balanced with exploration and adventured in the surrounding mountains.
This is a getaway to remember and come back to!
