Lovely little home in southern Vermont. Make sure you make it down the road to the West Wardsboro Country Store. Do not pass up the fresh baked goods and local ice cream there. Smooth Maple for the win!

Only 17 easy minutes to Stratton Mountain, beautiful cabin. Comfortable and quiet space to relax after a full day of snowboarding.

We just stayed in a great spot… Very cozy cabin with lots of character! Very clean and outfitted nicely! We would definitely stay here again! One thing to keep in mind is it does have a narrow spiral stairway. That may not great if you have knee issues or small children!

The cabin was the perfect place to celebrate a holiday or vacation. It had everything you would need to prepare a meal and enjoy whoever you are with.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend in October. The cabin was cozy and clean and had the necessary amenities to make our stay easy. The bed was cozy and the oversized recliners made relaxing at night easy. We hope to visit again soon.

Super uncomfortable bed need new mattress and it's a full not a queen like advertised and looks like a mouse problem heard scratching in the middle of the night woke up me every single time and prices should be lowered now especially when it's not a popular season but we over paid and there is no fireplace there is a fire pit outside and a electric fireplace in the living room which didn't work

Couldn't get into property because lockbox was broken. Had to drive 15 minutes to get cell reception and sit on the phone with Vacasa for 30 minutes to get the code for the 2nd lockbox. Mice droppings all over and the mice showed up to greet us each morning. Sent Vacasa a message with details and called as well and they submitted a "case" and said they would keep me posted. That was about 6 weeks ago.

For the most part, the property was nice to stay at but there were some things that it was lacking which detracted from fully enjoying our stay. When we arrived, the bedroom smelled horrible, it was the bedding and the pillows. It all smelled like a sweaty person had been in the bed and the bedding wasn't washed. It was so bad smelling we had to strip the bed and put all the bedding in another area of the house. Thankfully, we brought our own sheets just in case. The other major issue was the inability to open the bedroom windows. Only one window would open, it had no screen and there was no way to put a fan in the window without letting bugs in. It was very hot sleeping at night because of that and on the listing, it said there was a window fan....no where to be found. Other than that, it would have been nice to have had some small amenities. There was only a few tissues in a tissue box, no foil, plastic wrap or napkins. This place was in a nice quiet area, but we will be trying somewhere else for future stays in VT.

This was a lovely home. It was a little hard to find, the GPS sent us 3 miles up the road to a non-existent spot but it was a gem when we found it. I was worried it would smell like a dog but it was very clean and didn't at all. The listing said there is 1 spot but you could easily fit 3 cars.

We stayed at this property last November and loved the area so much that we came back this June. There is no AC or fans so you may want to bring one. The windows in the bedroom do not open so a fan would be a good idea to have there. There are two overhead fans that obviously help.
There was a power outage when we were out and the local Vacassa people were excellent in getting back to us when the power was going to be coming back. I also found out where the cable box was to reset it after the power shortage which is upstairs near the computer. They were about to send someone over but luckily I found it before they came. Beautiful area.

Our honeymoon
I'm from Vermont myself my wife had never been to Vermont before and she loved the whole experience and as far as the cabin it was great and would rent it again My wife and I have even thought about going back for our 5 anniversary and she wants to rent the same cabin again as for me it was the best trip I've had in a long time

Great stay
We enjoyed our stay. Our dog had room to roam around both inside and outside. The heated floors were so nice after a long day of skiing. Had all the essentials necessary to make a few meals. Also close to many nice places to eat. Maple leaf tavern, dots Dover forge.

Nice place, couple of issues.
The cabin is cute, it’s a good size for 2 adults and our 2 small/med sized dogs. The area is pretty and the yard is adorable. The property backs right onto the forest at the mountainside, which was lovely. The furniture is comfy and the house has everything you will need, including a fully tooled kitchen.
The bed is small (full size) so if you’re used to a king or queen, it’ll be tight.
Unfortunately the thermostat is locked behind a plastic case and despite being told there was a key, it was absent! The heat was way too high for us so sleeping in the small bed with the extra heat didn’t result in much sleep. We’re home exhausted. When I reached out for help the first person told me to buy a fan and the second one offered to come and break the box!! We said no to both (non)solutions.
I’m sounding like a complainer, but we felt at the price that we should have been better served. What do I mean by that? The nightly rate for the 4 night was less than the fees tagged onto the bill.
Unfortunately that means we’re unlikely to stay in this property again.

Just what we needed
It was perfect for my wife and I and our dog, Rocky. The cabin was very comfortable and it was a relaxing weekend. The nearby market had everything I needed to cook a nice dinner Friday night. The cabin was very private and quiet. When I took Rocky for a walk on Saturday, one of the locals pulled up next to us and asked if he could give Rocky a dog biscuit. True Vermont hospitality! Would definitely come back.

Amazing Getaway
My husband and I saw this rental after looking forever! We clicked on this property and it was love at first sight! We stayed a few days early November. If I ever had a second home, it would look like this!
The pictures of this property are spot on. Equipped with everything you need to function while away from home. Warm and cozy, a great place to relax. We booked another trip here for next June!

I loved the simplicity and the location especially loved the fenced in dog area
Great cozy and decorated perfectly
Only wished more throw blankets to add to the coziness and better bed only drawback
The other furniture was comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked if you were to cook.

Our stay in West Wardsboro
We got to know the area really well. Had a wonderful stay only wished it hadn’t rain so much so we could enjoy the fire pit more.

Quiet Relaxation
House was clean, kitchen well equiped. We happened to be there during a hot week so it was warm (you can't control the weather) Only negative is not all windows had screens, so we couldn't open them. They worked but we didn't want any visitors.

Glamping in Vermont
Luxurious glamping in a lovely area. We really liked this place but there's no A/C and we were here during a heatwave. There were fans thankfully! It's a cute cabin that sleeps up to four. There's one double downstairs and then there's a loft with two single beds. Perfect for myself, my husband and two children. It's also dog friendly with a dog run outside. The kitchen had everything we needed which was great. Be aware that you have to walk up stairs to get to the cabin and to get to the loft you have to walk up a tricky spiral staircase. Kids had no problem though. Check out the photos and you will see. Overall it was great and we would return.

The cabin was nice and clean, save for a few bugs and spiders but that's to be expected for a cabin in a rural area. Make sure to get most of your grocery shopping for your stay in one go. The nearest store is about 30 minutes drive. Very close to great outdoor activities.

This is an open air cabin..... it's one giant room with walls framing the MBR (ceiling opens up to the rest of house) and the other BR is a loft up a VERY tight circular staircase. Definitely a fall hazard. The upstairs BR had zipped-open sleeping bags as blankets. Old, filthy kitchen trash cans .... $30 in new trash cans would give a big upgrade. The back sliding door doesn't close fully, letting in a nice draft. Also, older or disabled people should know the house is up a long, steep set of stairs. Despite the above, it was a functional spot to stay for a few nights. Host offers soap, shampoo & conditioner. :) Served its purpose when my family needed a place to crash for a couple of nights.

Overall good
We stayed for a week in June, hiked around the area and had a good overall stay. One thing to point out about is that both bedrooms walls are not all the way up the ceiling, making it less private and you could really hear everything in the house. I feel that this place works better to stay with either family or people that you’re very comfortable with. It was pretty warm most days, there’s a thermostat locked in a clear cover, not sure what it controls because it doesn’t look like there’s AC in the house. We couldn’t get very good sleep because of how hot it got in the room with no ceiling fan for any air circulation in the room. Property is clean, kitchen is well stocked and has plenty of plates/pots and utensils to make easy meals.

Wonderful!
This was the perfect place for what my family and I needed. Super clean and cozy, great location. We all looked forward to coming “home” after a day of skiing. The loft was great for my teen boys, and the bathroom, kitchen and living room - with Netflix - were perfect. We would definitely come again.
