Dona Rita was the most gracious of hosts. She helped us with everything, from food to itinerary. She knows a lot about village history and took us on a tour around the village. Her cooking is divine. She makes everything, from sausages to brandy. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend staying with Dona Rita.

Breakfast was not included. We were visiting friends with no extra beds, so we checked in the only available place at this time of the year. -- We do love the village, a lot!
We were the only guests. Although it was cold outside (5°C at night) the heating was just switched on for two hours after we had walked in. Maybe my rating would have be much better if we had visited at a different time of the year.

The owner/hostess (Rita) was excellent: constantly available, providing valuable information, engaging in entertaining and meaningful conversations, serving an excellent breakfast, cooking two vegetarian dinners for us, preparing a few snacks for picnic, all this allowing space and time for our privacy. She handled very efficiently having several guests, always complying with Covid etiquette. Considering the isolation/remoteness of the village this "property" provides excellent conditions. The location is superb. The house is very nicely decorated in the style of a traditional Portuguese village of the past. Despite being there in August, the nights were cool to the point of us having dinner by the fireplace: Casa de Onor is really warm, in every sense!

Doña Rita was wonderful and very nice. She was always taking care of guests and adapting herself to their situation. The food she cooks and serves is amazing. We really recommend having dinner at her's.
