Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful, even though instructions on finding office was a bit tricky.
The biggest disappointment was finding out after I had made the booking was, we had no access to the facilities. The main reason for booking the room was for my son studying architecture. The exterior photos clearly show the pool. Thinking we could just look at the pool we attempted to take the lift, however an extremely rude, and aggressively spoken security guard demanded to see our room keys for proof we were accurately staying in the building. Sleep was also hard to get as the building creaked like on old steel boat all night.

well located
In a nutshell, this stay was uncomfortable. The bed was uncomfortable, the pillows uncomfortable, but most impactful was the creaking and banging that occurred all through the night (and day) keeping us awake. On check out, I went to show the clerk a video of the noise, but he stopped me and said 'oh yeah it's really noisy' but it's a flaw in the building and there's nothing we can do about it. Well, there is something you can do and that's let people paying good money to stay in your apartment about it.

The view.
Our recent stay was a bit disappointing due to a few inconveniences. First, the reception is not located at the hotel itself but rather behind the IGA on the other side of the road, which was quite inconvenient. Additionally, the checkout process was frustrating. Since we paid $60 for one night’s car park, we couldn’t exit the car park without the remote key. This meant we had to drive the car out first, then walk back to the hotel room to leave the keys, and finally walk back to the car. Thankfully, my car didn’t get ticketed during this time, but the process was unnecessarily complicated. To top it off, the pools weren’t available, which was a letdown.

Upper floor views were amazing. The apartments are still relatively new, but basic amenities. The location is fabulous close to Southbank
The checkin and bag drop off and pickup is painful as reception is in a small shopfront

View was amazing
More fresh towels checkin was a bit tricky
Second time would be fine carpark a bit narrow in areas

The hotel is great in a great location
The couch had stains all over it, the dining table had stains all over it, there was a plastic lid from a disposable razor caught in the drain in the shower.
9.0 / 10.0
Close proximity to transport and restaurants. Clean and comfortable, tv offered Netflix, large fridge with complete kitchen
Light switches were confusing, the bathroom vent was on 24/7 and we couldn’t figure out how to turn it off.

The location and the view!
Parking was way too expensive $60 a day! Rooms were very tiny and felt cheaply done. Tacky furniture and as it’s a (residential building couldn’t even use gym or pool.. had to get an induction. Also when you arrived at the property had to walk across the road to check in and out. Very inconvenient.

1. Fantastic location. Near Flinders train station and nearby gardens. Was cool seeing the Moomba fireworks each night.
2. Quiet. The soundproofing was great and the apartment neighbours were all quiet.
3. Quite clean. The kitchen (including equipment and cutlery), bathroom, and bedroom seemed very clean. Towels were laundered nicely. No weird smells in the apartment.
4. The knives were sharp and in good condition.
5. The dishwasher and washing machine were in great condition. The clothes rack was great for drying clothes.
6. The reception staff were very kind and helpful.
I would happily stay here again if visiting Melbourne.
To check-in, stand outside Australia 108 where the busy intersection is. Use the pedestrian crossing to cross over to where the Adina Hotel. Keep walking straight past the Adina hotel until you see the brown facade of the next building. Once you see the IGA (grocery shop) walk into the narrow building. The CLIX reception is down the corridor, past an ATM machine and a sushi-type shop.
Now for the cons of the property:
1. The toilet paper holder was broken. The toilet paper would fall off and land on the toilet brush underneath which disgusted me a bit.
2. The carpet in the bedroom looked a bit stained. To be fair, a lot of hotels have carpet designs that disguise stains.
3. The amenities (dishwashing liquid, shampoo/conditioner/shower gel) run out and don’t get restocked until day five (if you stay that long).
4. If you’re purchasing your own groceries, the packaging can overwhelm the limited trash space meaning you have rubbish sitting in Coles bags around the kitchen for a while (as there isn’t frequent housekeeping). I resorted to storing some food scraps in the fridge so they wouldn’t ferment in the bins and make the apartment smell bad.
5. No access to gym/pool. This is fine but isn’t made clear when booking. Transparency would be great.
6. The $200 takes a long time to get refunded. I still haven’t received my money back.
7. Front desk apparently require $10 cash to store your luggage if you are checking out early. They do not accept card payments. Other hotels offer this service free of charge.

Really central, well equipped though basic, really clean and any problems were attended too quickly. Amazing views!
Maybe would have been more useful to have a few kitchen amenities like more washing up liquid etc, colander for draining, scissors. But other than that, couldn’t fault.

There was a ranson smell under the sink. It smelt of dead rats. During the night, there was noise through the walls like mice running around. And I will chasing restitution.

The view from our apartment was breath-taking! Lots of space as well which was really nice.
One half of the cupboards was locked in each of the bedrooms, I’m assuming there were belongings in there and it didn’t bother us too much but an explanation may be necessary for some.

The property was beautiful and in a lovely location! Gorgeous views and amazing reception.
The mattress was way too soft and very uncomfortable to sleep on, there was also no rug in the lounge so I wasn’t able to let me son play much on the floor due to the floorboards!
We also booked a sky high appartment and didn’t feel like we were quite “sky high”

I was visiting for the AO tennis so it was well placed to walk to and have a view of when not on site. Easy to walk to botanic gardens, art galleries and enjoy shops and restaurants all with ease. The building was really easy to identify in the skyline with its jutting gold box up high which also meant it was easy to navigate back to.
Generous wardrobe but no hangers and could have used some chopping knives but otherwise everything I needed was there and I wasn’t cooking much.

really beautiful view and great location, we stayed over new years and the view of fire works was incredible. staff are friendly and brought us a bottle of champagne on new year’s eve. apartments need attention (broken appliances, stained furniture) but are clean and overalled maintained and it didn’t really affect our stay. check in process is offsite but if you read the provided information before your stay it’s not that far and not that big of a hassle.
upon check in we were charged $50 more than the price we booked the room for. when i raised the issue to staff the blunt response was to get a refund through booking.com which now a few weeks later has not happened and i’ve given up. there is a security deposit of $200 that was not returned until two weeks after our check out when i had to reach out to the property to request the charge back. i can confidently say they had no plan to return that deposit unless i requested it as they texted me a photo receipt of the charge cancellation dated to the day i requested it back. despite being happy with the room itself, i would not stay again or book through clixx again as the way they handle customers money is poor and comes across as dodgy and dishonest.

The check-in location away from the building is very confusing..Also we can't use the pool and the gym for short stays

The location is good. the view is outstanding. easily accessible to all basic facilities. staff were good and helpful. we stayed 3 days and hence did not use housekeeping.
suggest a few more cooking options. the basic requirements like salt and pepper could not be found, and the dishwasher tablets were not kept.

Room layout was unusual as the bathroom wasn't adjacent to the main bedroom. We had no access to the gym or pool. Parking was limited and expensive.
