About this cabin rental
This Vintage Rustic cabin, primarily designed for the camping & fishing enthusiast, is just one cabin of a 7 cabin resort. This cabin was built in the late 1920's and holds every bit of that vintage character. It may be a little rough around the edges but this authentic cabin holds the wonderful allure of days gone by. Electrical outlets would have been added a few years later and air conditioning wasn’t even thought of at that time. Those details won't matter to the outdoorsy kind coming for the camping experience where lake activity fills your day and evenings are enjoyed around the campfire. This charming cabin has a knotty pine interior and all the basics to create an Up North camping style atmosphere. A lifestyle one will appreciate becoming acquainted with.
All the cabins are lined up next to each other along the shore of a beautifully serene lake. This close proximity to other cabins have traditionally created a friendly community style atmosphere where guests mingle and create lasting friendships. This is the kind of place where your grandparents brought your parents, your parent’s brought you, and you are now bringing your children to create beautiful memories while spending a nostalgic vacation in a familiar old cabin.
The listed rate reflects the price for 4 adults or a family with children up to 6 people total. Additional adults beyond 4 will incur additional charges. This cabin has a sleeping capacity up to 6 people utilizing 2 bedrooms, each with a queen size bed and a futon in the living room. There is 1 electrical outlet next to the bed in one of the bedrooms, the other bedroom does not have an electrical outlet. Other electrical outlets are minimally located throughout the cabin. This cabin has a kitchen with everything to cover your basic needs, a dinning space and a simple bathroom that includes a warm shower. The spacious 13'x7' enclosed porch overlooking the lake is the perfect place to enjoy your coffee and watch the morning sunrise.
Whether you are looking for a home base to camp at the lake or a base camp while you explore the area’s attractions, you will enjoy this cozy cabin and all its imperfections. More than anything, you’re gonna love the authentic charm and the carefree lifestyle that comes with camping Up North.
Pets are welcome on the property for an additional fee of $25 per night / per pet, paid at time of arrival if not otherwise paid. This includes pets of your visitors to the property.
Free Parking is available for 1 vehicle per cabin. 1 boat/trailer per cabin is also free but are required to be parked in designated area elsewhere on the property. Extra vehicles require a $25 per day fee and must also be parked in a designated area elsewhere on the property. This includes vehicles of your visitors to the property.

We had a great time and loved the view. Ritchie was a great host. He welcomed us upon arrival and was responsive when we had questions about how to work the TV. We will be back and will stay here again. I highly recommend this property for a relaxing time.

We will be back! Clean cozy cabin. Awesome, friendly, prompt owner who texted with me ahead of time and greeted us at the door. Amazing moonrise, night sky, sunrise, and the stillest lake water I have ever seen. My 2 year old could wade out into the lake to the end of the dock with my husband’s hand and loved it! Super close to Mackinac Island ferry but definitely in a whole other world! PS - there are more electric outlets in the cabin than the description alludes to - we had no problem plugging in devices for charging and my little guy’s sound machine and night light. I will recommend this place to anyone who wants to go to the area. Would love to go back and stay for a few days or a week just to relax or as a launching point for area tourist sites.

View is beautiful but doesn’t justify the price. Tiny place put together with duct tape and bubble gum. Everything is “economy” - toilet paper, towels (two), one dish towel, etc. Definitely not worth the money we were charged.

We really enjoyed our stay. Loved the lake view and access. Bathroom was very small. But, it was a cabin.

We stayed for a couple of nights with our dogs and it was a perfect place for what we needed. It was right next to Lake Paradise- peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. Cabin # 1 was rustic and quaint. It has a fridge, microwave, oven, and fireplace. The property manager was responsive and nice. I would recommend this property to my family and friends.

This place is a great base camp for all your adventures in the area. Beautiful sunrises over the lake to start the day. Then a great place to relax after a long day with fire by the lake. The owner Richie is always there to greet the quests.

Great stay with an amazing view!
My mom, fiancé, and two dogs really enjoyed our stay. Owner was on site so that made it really nice to buy firewood and he could answer any question we had. The water was gorgeous. I highly recommend watching the sunrise!

Lakeside Cabins
A very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. We were there for three nights/four days. It is everything the web site says it is. Very conveniently located for access to area attractions-Mackinaw Island, Wilderness State Park, Dark Skies Park, McGulpin Lighthouse, Old Mackinaw Lighthouse, and more. Paradise Lake has a reputation for excellent fishing, but we did not try our luck at that.

Quiet and comfortable
Was a good experience. The cabin needs some updates on the outside, but couldn't ask for a better place to relax and enjoy the water.

Great 48th birthday trip with my sisters
The sunrise and sunsets are just beautiful, YES cabins are rustic and over century old, and I loved that part, only issue was septic system i think, but the owner was johnny on the spot to make sure it was fixed during our stay, and did say it wasn't being rented out until permanently fixed. The entire area was beautiful and all kind people and business owners.. We will for sure be back in the future.

Mixed Feelings
Let's just say, I never write negative reviews and our family is fine with renting older style, rustic cabins that need a little work. Unfortunately, the cabin we rented was far from clean: cobwebs in the patio, layer of dust/dirt under the futon, floors were filthy, bathroom had a strange odor, and cigarette butts were left by fire pit The icing on the cake was when we spotted a mouse running from the cabinet under the sink to the garbage can. We cut our trip short one day. Granted we left an hour after the check-out time, but no refund was offered! I was very surprised when my husband told me that the response he got was just a little laugh.
The view was beautiful though!

The cabin was small but clean and right on the water. It had everything we needed for our short stay. We were close to Mackinaw City and Headlands Dark Sky Park so it was perfect for us.

Enjoyed our stay. Just needed better curtains. Also, was hoping for a beach front.
Owner was friendly. My husband and I would stay there again but was hoping it was something I was looking for the whole family.
