Good kitchen equipment, good bedding and nice room
the distance to the railway was pretty annoying
3.4
I liked the room could be put in to complete darkness so that you could sleep, change the light and turn on the fan from the bed was good too
Had a cold shower in the morning, the hotel had a little bit of a smell to it
3.4
It was affordable and convenient. The heater in the room was a nice surprise.
The Van Gogh print on the wall. The music on Saturday night was a little crazy but Sunday's music was fine.

19 th. Century heritage hotel, high ceilings, everything provided, spacious clean communal bathrooms, walking distance into cbd.
Excess noise in. the bar downstairs till 1 am, but it was a Saturday.night so some understanding required if staying at that time of the week.
3.4
It was convenient as I was only visiting for an event at the hotel.
When I retired to my room it was pretty noisy down below, but it’s a pub and it’s what I expected, so no real complaints about it
3.4
Nice staff and rooms were fine.
They unfortunately had some water damage so the smell was ordinary and the drying fans were noisy.
3.4
Good value for budget accommodation, cozy/warm electric blankets, good location with a 10 minute walk from the station and reasonable cleanliness.
Paid for a room with 2 double beds, but only got one double and one single, some of the floor boards were coming up from the floor, one giant mirror with tiny drawers which was impractical
3.4
Couldn't sleep in the night, party was in downstairs with subwoofer my room shattered all the night
I would never book this hotel
3.4
The room was quite comfortable, being a cold Ballarat night I turned the heater on straight away and it worked instantly. The shutters did a great job of keeping road noise to a minimum. The electric blanket worked very well and the bed was comfy! the common area and the bathrooms were clean.
The instructions that were sent for check in were clear, easy to follow and made it easy to get in.
The location was fantastic, and it was an easy walk to go and get dinner, though if you want it’s just downstairs at the pub!
YES, it’s budget, YES, it’s loud on a Saturday night, but really, I still got a full night’s sleep, had a hot shower in the morning and got exactly what I paid for.
Next time I’d prefer a rock and roll band over heavy metal!!!

it was cold in the room heater didnt work loud music downstairs
3.4
tidy and nice place, but noisy at Friday because of a party downstairs
3.4
Customer Service was appalling. When contacting the Hotel I was attacked by the management staff over the phone. Extremely rude and unhelpful. Definitely wouldn't call it Customer Service
3.4
Smelt a bit of smoke from the bar and was very loud
3.4
The place was clean and the beds were reasonably comfortable. It would have been a decent place to stay if it wasn't such a hot day.
There was no air conditioning and unfortunately we stayed there on a very hot day (40+ degrees), so with 4-6 people per room and just a ceiling fan, it was extremely stuffy and basically impossible to sleep. We were able to open a window in one of the rooms, but it was right by a train line so this was very noisy throughout the night.

A very old hotel, clean and comfortable, It was fine for 1 night, it was cheap so I didn’t expect a lot. There was loud music and patrons downstairs but by the time I got back from a night out it was all over.
I would’ve liked a little mirror on a wall in the room
3.4
Brilliant, what can I say! Thank you.
Only staying one night.
3.4
the room was cosy and hearty making us feel good.
other guest were a little distrustful with noise levels and slamming doors later into the evening.
3.4
we went there to go to a festival so we were happy with the price and didn’t mind the music downstairs as we were going out both nights.
not much, one of the double beds had dirty linen but we brought extra just incase anyway.
3.4
Great value for money ... very impressed.
Noise from adjacent business
3.4
Comfortable, good value for money. Kitchen was really handy and the bathrooms were lovely and clean. Very central with bars and restaurants nearby and a big Coles not too far 😊
The music was loud as it was a Friday evening, we were aware of this already so it didn’t bother us, but if you need to sleep before midnight I wouldn’t book at the weekend.

nothing
safety, noise, shared bathroom, room space, no toiletries.

The bathroom was great!
I liked the clean feel and look.
Perfect after the rain I was caught in.
The window in the room was left open.
Unfortunately it was raining heavily and the top of the bed was wet when I arrived.
Definitely did not ruin my stay however.
3.4
The bed was comfortable, the room was cosy and warm. The facilities were clean.
The noise from the band was ridiculously loud. There's no way one can sleep until it stopped, and everyone had gone. Once the patrons had vacated, it was fine.
3.4
Room comfortable nice
Live band pub below loud kept me awake rude staff business below telling me to use front door when they left adjoining door open no signage to state no entry because door wide open so sign on door not seen
3.4
We don't meet someone from the hotel. You just received a message. You have all the informations but it's weird to don't meet someone.

The email service was great as I needed to check if I had left an item .
The hotel was an oldie but was a characterful place . Ex location
The bed felt thin and no mattress protector over electric blanket . Room freshener was overpowering for me . A towel rail at the back of the door woukd have been good .
Individually wrapped teabags would have been more hygienic and I would have liked that more rather than using teabags possibly touched by unknown others .I had not realised it was shared bathroom . It was a nice clean bathroom however . Loo had a bit of a lingering odour
.
