During wet times of the year like Spring or Fall, we do recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle if the forecast shows rain or snow. There are paved roads all the way to Zion Ponderosa Ranch, but the 1.8 miles to our cabin is on a dirt road. It can get really muddy, so 4 wheel drive is highly recommended.

Nice and clean, quiet, great place to relax. I will definently book again.

This cozy cabin was perfect for our family of 4. It was close to Zion east entrance which is far less crowded than other entrances. The host was responsive once we booked and made sure we had directions, access information, checked on us before arrival, and was a text away if we needed anything (which we didn’t). The cabin was very clean, perfect outdoor patio to cook out and enjoy the beautiful scenery, and the kitchen inside was well equipped for our needs. I would definitely recommend this stay to others. Make sure to bring plenty of food because there are limited stores around.

Nice little cabin in the woods

This cabin far exceeded our expectations! The location was amazing, we hiked observation point just 10 minutes away. DeAnn was very quick to respond to any questions we had. The beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of hot water for showers after our hikes. I loved sitting outside and just enjoying the peace and quiet. I didn't want to leave! We will for sure come back here if we're in the area again!

Overall, a great experience for our 1st time to Zion. Cabin had everything we needed, and a great location to Observation Point.

We enjoyed being on the east end of Zion and getting away from the crowds!

Loved the area and listing. Didn’t take advantage of the Ponderosa activities because we packed in as much sightseeing as we could. My only complaint was the hot water in the shower. “Shower works best on hot” was accurate, but then went to freezing within less than a few minutes. Definitely practiced conservation of water resources while we stayed. Beds were super comfy.

This cabin is perfectly situated on the edge of Zion National park, trail access mere yards away! The cabin itself has a spacious, open design with ample sleeping upstairs. The outdoor patio and seating were perfect! Absolute gem!!

We could have stayed here for weeks and will definitely be back! Everything from the location (hiked into the Park from the cabin) to the different outdoor spaces to the cozy inside and as perfect.

Unique space with great grill outside, privacy and coziness. Definitely away from the crowds with stars and coyote barks at night. DeAnn was very responsive with questions/concerns.
A little challenging to get to (I recommend daylight arrival. Hint: an easy way to navigate once into Ponderosa Ranch is to take a left when told and veer away from Private Rd signs until the last Private Rd up the hill to the right where the property is located. Large crater in road on the downhill close to the property--stay left.
Close proximity to East Mesa Trailhead and we recommend the Observation Point hike--worth it at sunset! Be aware that the sleeping qtrs are in the loft with the bathroom downstairs with a ladder/stairs to the top.
Enjoy!

Highly recommend this property if you want to experience the beauty of Zion without all the crowds and enjoy hiking. The property is within a short walk of a trailhead that provides access to the Park.

My friend and I stayed here while doing things in Zion, Bryce and Coyote Butte. The location could not have been better to be able to do everything!
DeAnn was lovely and so easy to communicate with. The cabin has everything you could need and the beds are super comfy. They even have great pillows! While there isn’t an oven, the stove and the grill work great and make cooking super easy. If you want to explore Zion or other parks nearby, this is the perfect place to stay!

DeAnn was an incredible host. The property is as described and a rocks throw from Zion. We love the remote feel tucked away in the woods. would absolutely highly recommend.

We absolutely LOVED the uniqueness of this cabin. We were fascinated by the exterior design and patios. Definitely, take the hike to Observation Point. Loved that trailheads were so close. Our host was great and communicated quickly and made us feel very welcome. Definitely utilize her directions to the cabin. I took screen shots of each page which got us right to the front door. We would definitely rebook. LOVE it!

We loved our stay! The house was absolutely perfect...the outdoor area was even better! The location was remote but still had access to all of the wonderful ammenities at the resort down the road, which made it perfect! The resort down the road had a ton of great things to do and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Overall, we loved everything about this stay!

Great place! Getting groceries on the way in is key but a few close restaurants were good! Especially Cordwood. Hikes were great!

Perfect setting for quiet get away. Enjoyed being able to hike to several trails right from the cabin. We loved being away from the crowds.

Overall the property was very nice. Outside area was beautiful. Definately suited more for warmer weather. Two suggestions, a dresser or hooks to place jackets and clothes and a toaster oven in lieu of a full oven.

We loved this cabin! Beds and sheets were so comfortable. It had all the amenities we could want, plus it's in a community that offers activities. I didn't realize that part in advance though. It would have been good to know so we could reserve some spots for certain activities that required it (ziplining was one).
It's near 2 different Zion hiking spots (we did Observation Point - GORGEOUS!). It was a bit of a drive to the east entrance to Zion, but it worked out fine. We'd stay here again, especially in the summer so we could take advantage of the community pool!

We had a great stay at this property. Remote, but great if you want to do the Observation Point trail from the East Rim Trail. Directions were perfect, even easy to find in the dark!

My friends and I stayed here for a half marathon in the park. Great location with amenities. Will recommend to anyone when in the area.

We loved our at this house! So peaceful! The house had everything we needed and more! Nice to hike from the house and come home and have a cocktail on the awesome outdoor space! We hiked cable mountain and saw 7 other people! We tried observation point but a storm came through. Words of wisdom, don’t drive to the observation trailhead if rain is possible! We and about 12 other cars got stuck and a nice man stayed and helped either pull or push people out! It actually was pretty fun! Met some great people! We hiked the narrows in Zion as well! Would highly recommend and would absolutely stay again!

Amazing in every way! Clean, cozy, perfect outdoor setting and space. Great cooking and outdoor dining accommodations. Easy access to Zion, Bryce, Kanab. Highest recommendation!! DeAnn’s communication was fabulous. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay. Owner communicated several times prior to our check in and answered all our questions quickly. If you want an out of the way place on the east side of Zion this is a great place to stay. Very remote and very quiet.

This home was a very comfortable stay for our family of 4. The kids loved the climb into the 2nd floor sleeping area. Everything was very clean, well stocked and comfortable. We enjoyed grilling and relaxing in the outside space in the evenings after hiking, including hikes accessible from the property. Great stay, would return if in the area.

Great cabin and the property is awesome. Your out in the woods and feel like your all alone but there is a lodge a couple minutes down the road with a pool, mini golf and a restaurant.

Great location, nice and private, close to trailheads, and spotless! Perfect spot to relax and chill after a great day of hiking. Fire pit/deck was awesome!

My friends and I absolutely enjoyed our stay here. Such a cute cabin and outdoor living area!! Cabin was stocked really well. In my opinion, the only things missing were wash clothes and hand towels. There was a slight ant problem in the kitchen but nothing that prevented us from enjoying our stay. We hope to come back!!

Amazing location. Literally footsteps from east trails leading into the park. Very quiet and peaceful. Just what we needed. Very clean and well-stocked.

This cabin was a wonderful blend of comfort and function housed in a very unique Zion setting. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the more serene side of Zion. DeeAnn was a very patient, timely, and informative host. The place was very clean and stocked with helpful essentials, including a gift basket of water and Clif Bars. In addition to the very comfortable space inside, there are 3 distinct outdoor spaces that offer additional ways to experience the beautiful surroundings. 2 amazing hikes within 100 yards is yet another huge plus. And location on east side of park seemed optimal during a very busy time of year. My tips include: arriving during daylight hours to navigate the required turns with a bit less stress and considering other options if you've got very small children or folks with physical challenges as the stairs/rustic ladder to the upstairs bunk area (great pillows!!!) is pretty steep. All said, we'd definitely stay here again.

The moment we arrived, my wife and I literally said out loud, this exceeds expectations! Everything was clean and new. Great property, great location for entering Zion by foot. We saw a deer just upon entering the park for our first hike! As advertised, there’s no reception or TV channels, but plenty of DVDs. Clean, cozy, remodeled, and private. Loved it!

Highly recommend the Zion Cable Mountain Cabin. As a family of 4, we had 4 wonderfully relaxing days at the secluded cabin. Loved the plentiful outdoor space, quiet surroundings, and close proximity to Zion NP, Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort, and Springdale. Cabin was fully stocked with kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and various seasonings. A nice surprise (for us) was the lack of WiFi and cell phone signal for a bit of a digital detox which we all benefited from. We watched a couple of older movies which came with the cabin (VHS player and Blu-Ray DVD player) and caught up on some reading when we weren’t exploring the area or riding horses. If you’re up for a challenging hike, there are numerous nearby trailheads that head into Zion NP or lead to wonderful overlooks of the canyon. And finally, as the owners mention, it’s best to plan and bring plenty of food as the nearest grocery stores are rather far away.
All in all, this was an excellent choice for what we were looking for in a quiet cabin close to ZNP. We hope to visit again in the future!
