Lovely old house in a residential area of the city
Lovely old house in a residential area of the city
We had a lovely stay in Zagreb. The owner (Tom) couldn't have been more helpful and his house is a real home, a beautiful, spacious old house with good air conditioning (a must in the summer!) and lovely terraces with views over the nearby mountain. The house is in a safe, quiet, residential neighbourhood, near a well stocked convenience store, a number of lovely restaurants and a truly beautiful park full of lakes, pathways and follies. The tram at the bottom of the hill is 20 minutes into the middle of town, costs 4kn and comes every five minutes or so. It isn't far, but it is down a hill to the tram stop, so we got very fit with the 10 minute walk home every day we went into town! Zagreb is a lovely city and this is a great way to see it.

Tom is absolutely amazing
Tom is absolutely amazing
Tom's property is five stars throughout, we saw it. However, we did not stay there. There was a glitch in the system (not Tom's fault) and we had to stay elsewhere. Tom found us a super nice property downtown and paid for the difference! He even gave us a free tour of Zagreb with his vintage car, as an extra compensation. He let us park our van on his property and he picked us up on our last day. We became friends and our couple of days in Zagreb became on of the best memories of all our trips ever!

Perfect for large families
Perfect for large families
The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is spacious, beautiful, secure, and is well-equipped with all necessities - from linens and bottle openers to the Xbox and books. No need to pack anything extra! The host is extremely helpful, kind, and available. We would definitely stay here again.

Best Host!
Best Host!
We stayed at the house for a week and it worked out great for our family. Tom is accessible and helpful with any questions or needs...we mentioned there was no coffee maker and a new one appeared within the hour! The house is big and well equipped and walking distance to a nice group of cafes and restaurants. We also got lots of good tips on how to enjoy Zagreb from Tom. Only word of advice is that the bunk beds are not suitable for adults to sleep in so keep that in mind if booking for a large group.

Clean, affordable, walk to dining, ready access to city center by bus/taxi. Most helpful owner!
Clean, affordable, walk to dining, ready access to city center by bus/taxi. Most helpful owner!
Our group of seven adults, three couples and a single, were warmly welcomed by the owner who was waiting for our arrival. All the facilities were clean, comfortable, and certainly served our needs. We were able to enjoy fresh fruit the owner had set out for us - an example of his hospitality. Parking off the street was available and accommodated our large van. Throughout the reserving process, the owner promptly answered all the questions we had. We had the sense that we knew each other well prior to actually meeting in person. Any questions we had during our stay of eight nights were readily answered. The location was ideal for touring Zagreb and also served us in visiting relations in Karlovac and Varazdin, in addition to the spa in Krapina. We would certainly recommend this property for a family or a group of eight or less as a clean and economical place to stay while in Zagreb. Sam Frketich

Great for a large family or group visiting Zagreb
Great for a large family or group visiting Zagreb
Our family of six stayed here during a five day visit to Zagreb and found it perfect for our needs. The property is well maintained and is located in a quiet neighborhood with a convenience store within walking distance for morning shopping to make breakfast before heading out. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean, if spartan. If you have a car be mindful that there's no parking on the street and you have to park down a steep slope - which can be intimidating or tricky. The "best" part of this listing though is the owner who couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating before and during our stay. He speaks perfect English and happily greeted us at 11 pm upon our initial arrival after our flights were delayed. When we visit Zagreb again we will definitely stay here.
