This is a beautifully designed modern house in a spectacular setting. The hosts are the nicest of people and will go the extra mile to make your stay totally enjoyable. Lovely welcome package, personal tour of the place on arrival, great communication and recommendations on absolutely anything on the island throughout our stay. It is a high tech house, with air con, wifi, electric blinds, super lighting options and very secure, not that you need it in such a lovely community. For me the most magical thing was being able to walk next door to pick oranges to eat/juice every day. They also have lots of other stuff, which were not in season just yet or just over, bananas, lemons, figs, tomatoes as well as a herbs like parsley and mint.

Great views, a lot of light in the living room, terrace.... great equipment and furniture- really warm and modern. In near by garden you can pick fresh oranges for your morning juice. really kind owners- Marco and Iolanda, thank you!

Beautiful house and high confort with all equipements needed. Perfect for those who enjoy cooking with their loved ones while admiring the view. And last but not least, very supportive and caring hosts who will guide you proactively on what to do and how to do around the magnificient Island. I recommand 100% !

Quinta do Charco really exceeded all our expectations. The estate is insanely beautiful and offers all and even more luxury than home. The sleek style of the house is also our own, we even got inspiration for our own home! We were really sad to have to leave after a week! The host and hostess are very friendly, take your personal preferences into account and give you an extensive tour. The refrigerator was filled with delicious Azorian specialities of top quality. The hosts also provide some nice surprises during your stay and give you the best tips every day according to the weather. They are always there for you, they are always available. As very frequent travellers, this is one of our best experiences ever, if not the best. We definitely want to come back to São Miguel and will not hesitate for a second to return to Quinta do Charco. When we told them that we were travelling to the other islands, they said that we could still contact them as they considered us to be their guests for the rest of our stay in the Azores. That is perhaps the greatest form of hospitality we have ever experienced. Congratulations on your beautiful property and for your amazing hospitality! Superlatives really fall short here ... We loved the house and the outside in feel and the amazing view. All of my party agreed the house made our holiday special in addition to hosts that were able to provide contacts for the wide variety of demands we had from sailing boats to private chefs that came to the villa to cook for us, excursions and excellent restaurants in the city.

It is difficult to think of anything we didn’t like but we all agreed the beds were very hard and could have been much softer.

Everything really. This is a beautifully prepared modern holiday home with charm, a perfect pool, and the fun of a vegetable garden. Excellently located within a 20min drive of the airport and 30-45mins of everything one might want to do on the island (some things much closer). The owners give an excellent introduction and welcome (which is needed because the house has some features that would take time to work out without the intro eg locks and lighting). They are extremely knowledgeable about the activities on the island and full of useful tips. They are also sensitive to individual needs

Nothing. We paid a fair price for an outstanding property. If we can we will stay here again when we next visit Sao Miguel. How can one say better than that?

This is I think the first time I review a house on booking - and this one is worth this first time. Honestly impossible to think of anything I would change. The house was perfect. It was beautiful, peaceful, clean and the perfect “home base” for our family of 5. The location was perfect and made it easy to travel to anywhere you would want to go to on the island. The owner provided great suggestions of things to do in the area - even rainy day ideas - and some tasty Azorean treats. The space was comfortable and had every thing you could need in a vacation home. The kids loved the pool.

I couldn’t suggest this place more. Marco is amazing and the property is breathtaking.

The villa Quinta do Charco is absolutely stunning… great views and very spacious. We were very impressed by the warm welcome of the hosts Marco & Iolanda. The villa is very complete, luxurious and has a real wow-factor. We were surprised by the hosts during our 10 day stay (no spoilers, but they bring a great big smile on your face). The villa is spotless clean and you have so much privacy. There is an alarm system and a locked gate & walls around the property. You will find luscious green all around the villa and next to it is a plantation to pick fruit. Our teenage kids loved the large pool and toys provided. The washing machine and dryer are very welcome too. The villa is located in the centre of the lovely island Sao Miguel, so everything is nearby. The hosts are very willing to give you advise where to go for diner, days out etc. The are so very attentive, warm and personal! We rebooked a longer stay for next year even before we left the island… and we usually never go back to the same place. It proofs this is a great holiday place…. the breath-taking island, the great villa and hosts. Very much recommended!
