Truly the best b&b we have stayed at. The room is clean and large , decorated in true Provençal style. The sunset! Can be seen from our room.
Of course the host was so lovely and warm , we loved the dogs too . A true gem. Merci♥️

Le Mas Saint Jacques is phenomenal and one of its kind. This B&B has a very special atmosphere which will make you feel right at home and treated like an honoured guest at the same time.
The owner, Jean Marc, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect, accommodating our every wish even sometimes before we could think of it ourselves. He amply provided us with great local tips and took real interest in our excursions in the area. The beautiful breakfast is absolutely terrific. The room was wonderful and felt authentic in a most charming way. Our kids adored playing with the kind black dog Molly and splashing around in the pool as well as playing near the house.
Jean Marc and his lovely daughters run a very special place indeed, and we ended up extending our stay from 3 to 5 days. You are lucky if you come across this place on your travel - we sure hope to come back again another time.
As mentioned by others: I hope absolutely nothing to note in this section. Everything is perfect.

The accommodation is located in the very center of a super interesting area: Avignone, San Remy, Isle sur la Sorgue, Chatenneuf du Pape… … Not far from la Camargue.
The house has proven comfortable, super clean, extremely welcoming.
But the real plus of the holidays is JeanMarc (and his dog Mully) that has created a perfect format for families, kids and animals, letting us leave an holidays like in family.
Thanks to a great mix of strong professionality and warm heart, he’s become uncle to our kid and good friends in few days.
We’ll leave here a part of our soul

A perfect house, a rich French breakfast, a warm host, leaving unforgettable memories

We had fantastic two days at Les Mas Saints Jacques The breakfast was amazing - a traditional french breakfast with levain bread and croissants. A plus for homemade jam, freshly squeezed juice and a lot of fruit. The host is so friendly and my kids loved the dog and the pool. A perfect place for a family visit and to get to know some real French culture. We can really recommend this B&B.

For us the location was ideal and the breakfasts were super.
Nothing.

We liked everything, it was like visiting old friend. Jean-Marc is really very nice and friendly person, he cared for us like we were family. We felt like being home, room was really big, our dog was really very happy to run around house and play. This place is perfect base to go for trips and return back to peaceful and quiet place. We did not speak too good french, but Jean-Marc did the best to understand us and talk to us. We really appreciate his perfect care.

The farmhouse was surrounded by meadows: it was so peaceful at night. In the morning we had a full breakfast on the terrace with jam made from the fruit trees in the garden, and honey from the neighbors hives. In the evening we ate out locally from suggestions made by the owner and all were delicious.
Nothing, we had a lovely stay

Everything about our stay was perfect, down to the smallest detail. Jean-Marc is a wonderful and attentive host, is clearly passionate about what he does, and does everything he can to ensure that his guests have everything they need.
The manor itself is large, well decorated, and very clean. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Pool area was lovely, and the terrace was perfect for breakfast and dinner. Location was great, and breakfast was fresh (inc. local fruits and specialties), varied, and copious. (Special mention for the homemade jams and honey, which were wonderful!)
Some bonuses for us: we stayed here with a 3-month old baby and were so pleased to discover that Jean-Marc not only had a crib ready, but also a pack-and-play for use when we were on the terrace, as well as a small "bassin" for the pool, and some extra routers to ensure our baby monitor worked properly. We also enjoyed spending some time with Jean-Marc in the mornings and evenings during meals.
Special shout out to Molly, the adorable four-legged co-host, who made our stay extra special.
Not a complaint, but one suggestion would be to have a chef come in maybe 1-2x a week to cook local dishes and serve them on the terrace? There isn't a lot of food "to go" in the area and it would have been nice to have other options than pizza or sushi. (We were "obligated" to take food to go, as going out with a baby was too complicated for us.)

Jean mark was wonderful host, very nice and helpful with everything we needed. We felt very comfortable, the room was huge and clean 60 mr. The view was beautiful, the bad was big and comfy and breakfast was typically french and very tasty.
Highly recommended!

We decided to go to Avignon with a friend, quite last minute, and we got exactly what we wanted. A super authentic and friendly B&B just 20min from the central train station. Jean-Marc has been super nice and helpful with everything, even renting a car at the very last minute. The room was super spacious, clean and comfortable, and when I asked for 2 sheets on our beds, he gave us one more bedroom :) Molly is super nice and cute, we enjoyed the breakfast on the terrace and had great conversation with Jean-Marc over dinner and a glass of wine. It was our perfect first provance experience.

We found this place by chance and had we known what a gem it is, we would have stayed much longer. It is the best place to stay if you are visiting Avignon and you have kids and/or pets. Jean-Marc and his adorable dog Molly were the best hosts, it just does not get any better than that. We loved the family suite with its two beautifully furnished bedrooms and we slept like babies in his comfortable beds. In the morning we had an amazing French breakfast on the pretty terrace with everything you could wish for, even freshly squeezed juice. Our three kids loved playing with Molly, the dog. They spent all day having fun at the pool, where Jean-Marc even provided pool towels and toys. Jean-Marc knows everything about the area and is very helpful with advice. We were even allowed to store our snacks in his fridge, which is great when you are travelling with kids. Overall we enjoyed our stay in his beautiful farmhouse immensely and will definitely recommend it to our friends and family.
We loved everything!

Jean-marc was an excellent host, and his property is beautiful in its pastoral serenity, being removed from the city enough to feel relaxed, and close enough to the city to access the best. Each morning he would greet us with a smile and as much food as we could eat on the porch.

Jean Marc was the perfect host, upgraded us to the deluxe king room, and bent over backwards to help and please us. The room was beautiful, very large and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Only wished we could have stayed longer.
Wifi needs a boost in that room

Jean-Marc's "Le Mas de Saint Jacques" is the perfect getaway near Avignon. It's located just outside the outskirts of the city in the beautiful, quiet countryside. The first thing you see on arrival is a beautiful iron gate, an alley of ancient trees and, behind that, the cozy B&B.
Jean-Marc welcomed us in the most heartily way and showed us around the house while explaining us a bit of its history. He was most helpful with finding and reserving a restaurant nearby, finding parking in Avignon for the next day and even took care of our laundry when we arrived.
The house itself is a lovingly renovated old farm house and the two suites we booked were everything one could look for. Very clean, very well and lovingly equipped as well as spacious and comfortable. The swimming pool is beautiful and towels are provided.
But the absolute highlight is the breakfast which is being served on the sunny terrace! Homemade marmalades, crunchy baguettes, chocolate breads and croissants, fresh fruits and delicious coffee and tea. All of this is very attentively accompanied by the wonderful Jean-Marc who smoothly manages to make you feel at home.
If you decide to visit Le Mas Saint Jacques, you will definitely want to stay longer and come back to see Jean-Marc and his lovely dog Molly again.

We had a very good time here. Very welcoming and flexible host who really tries to accomodate all the different wishes and preferences of his guests, so you can really fully enjoy and focus on your vacation. Very big room with separate bathroom and toilet and super comfortable bed in a big classy french country house ... plus pool :-)
Excellent breakfast too ...
