In reality I didn’t like the property. The pool or jacuzzi wasn’t clean the oven didn’t work, the locks on most door didn’t work and so many things… The door was stuck and because of that the floor broke about 6 to 8 inches off the bottom of the door. A step to the pool was half missing… Some tiles were falling off, the towels were garbage…. The sofa bed didn’t have the bed inside. No hot water in jacuzzi and running water inside… Also some glasses were chipped were you drink from!!! Also none of the room had dresser or nightstand? What…. Also they really don’t tell you , you need a 4x 4 vehicle to go up….

GETTING THERE: The property is in a remote location with lots of nature around. This was beautiful and was exactly what we wanted. We read previous reviews and were prepared for the steep uphill journey. As other traveler’s have stated…a 4x4 is a MUST (do not ignore this recommendation or get creative, low cars will not make it up the hills which appear to have a 45deg incline).
COMMS & CHECKIN: The owner provided directions to the property which made it straight forward to find. Checkin was straight forward (although I used Amex throughout my trip in DR with no issues, I was informed that my Amex card was a problem before Checkin so alternatively paid via PayPal).
PROPERTY: The property had homely decorations and the 3 bedrooms were ample in size. Very useful for a family of 5 (or even up to 7 people). There were 2 bathrooms and a relaxing veranda with rocking chairs which was our favourite element of the house m. The views of Jarabacoa and sounds of nature (birds, woodpeckers, cockerel) from the veranda were breathtaking!! The grounds are vast and well maintained, nice for a stroll in the hills. The house is far from amenities (such as shops or restaurants) but we had a delivery upon arrival which was delicious and priced as per other local restaurants. A visit to Jarabacoa town is recommended.
Although very cozy, the accommodation could have been a lot cleaner. There were a few easily resolvable issues:
-lots of dust to suggest an infrequent clean
-many wood boring insects inside the house
-one of the sheets were stained
Unfortunately, the outdoor plunge pool at our cabin was not heated and thus unusable (or if heated not easily operated).

Everything was wonderful
It's difficult to get there. The last part of the road need a 4 x 4 vehicle in order to reach the top.
