The villa is just perfect! It has all you are looking for to be relaxed during vacation. Deco is magnificent. Rooms very spacious and comfortable. Kitchen and bathrooms very well equipped. The garden is very well maintained and chilling around the pool is a pleasure. The hosts are super friendly and available to answer all the questions. Location is also great, very close to the see and nice restaurants.
We loved everything.

Superb responsive service from the start, with Floriana very quick to answer any questions. We were met on arrival with smiles, despite not getting there until 11pm. The villa was perfect, from the location (5 minute walk to the beach, several restaurants within a short walk) to the villa itself. It was as nice as it looks in the pictures, if not nicer. Well equipped, with essentials such as coffee/toilet roll/dishwasher and washing machine pods provided, and a lovely welcome basket of fresh fruit and even Easter eggs for the kids. The pool was cold (as we knew it would be) but perfectly maintained. A good folder of recommendations for things to do/places to eat etc.
Nothing, really. We would very happily return. Not the cheapest, by any means, but well worth paying the extra.

Beautifully furnished villa equipped with everything we needed. Every bit as good as the pictures suggested. Close to the beach and to restaurants. The owners were really helpful and welcoming and gave us a great welcome pack and traditional Sicilian specialities during our stay.
Worth noting that effectively the villa is split into two separate apartments with separate doors to the outside space and pool area.

Villa Raphael is definitely one of the best villas in Avola with considerations of all aspects! Location, contemporary design with a casual and cosy lifestyle, attention to detail...... The Villa splits into to floors. You can rent each floor individuals depending your requirements and the Villa was well maintained. It is almost impeccable to be honest!
We stayed there for a week with my parents, my children and a relative of ours. We felt safe, pricy was well protected, facilities were great and we also cooked a lot in the house. There are 5 supermarkets in a small town like Avola, so certainly plenty to choose from.
The Faraci family were awesome! Very attentive and very informative! Floriana did spend several months in London, hence her English was great! For the rest of the locals, you will be struggling a bit when you try to communicate with them only with English. However, we didn't find it as a problem at all. It was rather fun and more interactive!
We rented a car while we were in Sicily, so we pretty much drove everywhere along the east cost from Taomina to Catania and to Siracusa and to Noto. I have to say Avola is a ideal and great place to settle with so many points of attractions are within 80 minutes the most of travel distance. Many attractions were literally 15 - 20 minutes drive away from Villa Raphael. So we pretty much laid in quite late until 10 in the morning, jumped into the pool for half an hour and then big breast, then set off to the attractions and return in the evening.
The weather stayed awesome while we were there, it was sunny every day with temperatures around 24 - 30 degrees. Perfect to jump into the sea and pool.
We did spend a half day at the beach in Avola. We had to pay 10 euros for two sunbeds as the beach was private. It is very much within walking distances ( 5 minutes walk from the Villa to the beach) The beach was usually very busy at the weekend and relatively quiet between week days.
Not much to say apart form the mosquitoes. The locals call it Zanzara in Italian.
I guess it not something negative about the place and the Villa.
When we mentioned the issue to Floriana, she quickly returned and provided instant solutions.
Not many English channels on TV, however I guess this isn't an issue as well. Wifi was covered through the villa, so you can chill out with your iPads or phone near the poolside to watch a film.
