About this apartment rental
This 2nd floor studio apartment is a private, small space at the back of the building, with minimal street noise activity. The house is an old 1910 wood frame building, with layers of history and normal wear. It is a family-friendly building, owner-occupied (1st floor), with another family on the 3rd floor.
The kitchen is tucked in an alcove, but open to the living/sleeping areas. All kitchen appliances and fixtures are modern, with a stone counter and copper back-splash.
There is an entry closet. The bathroom has a standard tub with shower, dual flush toilet and stainless industrial sink. All towels and sheets are provided. This apartment offers two places to sleep, first is a bed for double sleeper and the other a fold-down chair for single sleeper.
The living room/ sleeping area windows face Northeast; allowing a lot of morning sun and indirect, natural light. Most of the furniture is minimal, modern style.
Although there are sleeping accommodations for three, it is really best for two adults (and one child).
With an artist owner, it is a work in progress. Please do not expect hotel-level finished, but instead an interesting dialogue between materials, spaces, furnishings.
**This is a Non-Smoking unit**No Parties**
Check in is at 4PM and check out is 11AM. I try to accommodate all individual arrival and departure circumstances

The stay at Frid's was great as everything worked out perfectly. Some lovely folks in the building and a nice neighborhood. Frid was great.

Frïd is such a warm, welcoming host and made my experience living in New York for three months as easy and comfortable as possible. Particularly in terms of access Frïd went above and beyond. As I have a disability I often have trouble with some door handles. Frïd organized for a new door handle to be installed soon after I arrived.
The apartment was incredibly comfortable and is located in a very friendly, safe neighborhood. Lots of great cafes/ restaurants nearby and is about a 15-20 minute walk to Prospect Park, and about a 10minute walk to the R subway.
Overall I had an amazing time here!

Very good communication
Communication (text) with Frid, the owner, was always fast, pleasant and mostly helpful. Neighborhood safe - house quiet with one exception: when the upstairs renter (with dog) is home, it can be noisy (washer runs at night etc) text rid and she will help.I liked the view into the back yard - better than on the photo !

It was our first time visiting NYC, and this little studio in a quiet part of Brooklyn was the perfect choice! The R-line is only a 10-minute-walk away and takes you straight into Manhattan. Bonus: there’s an awesome bagel shop on the way :). It was so nice to be able to retreat to this peaceful place after busy days in the city! Frïd promptly answered any questions that we had and made checking in and out a breeze, despite us having a very late arrival and super-early departure time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

A week in Brooklyn
This perfectly met our needs. There was everything we needed, including a box of creative toys for our two-year old. The host was most gracious, helpful without being intrusive, and available to answer all our questions. An alert for people with limited mobility: there is a half-flight of stairs to the front door, and a steep-but-manageable stairway to this second floor studio apartment.

Good sleep
Frid really wants you to be comfortable and is accommodating. Just let her know. Don’t expect hotel finishes but lots of character. The entrance to the building is a bit off putting and cluttered. Parking can be a challenge, but we seem to always find a spot. The kitchen is equipped but has no microwave. The apt is very airy, bright and has all you will need. It is quiet and we had our best sleep there unlike a lot of hotels we’ve stayed in.

Wonderful Stay in the Neighborhood
My family’s experience has been seamless. It has been wonderful to walk to the coffee shop, restaurants and park. At night it is quiet enough to open a window and let a breeze into the space. Our host has been communicative and helpful. All positive for this reviewer!

Awesome Stay!
Loved this place! The room was extremely clean and comfortable. It was private and quiet as the window looked into a backyard and not the street. The bed was super comfy and the linens were quality which is my main concern every time! I would stay here again in a heartbeat next time I visit Brooklyn.
The neighbourhood was friendly and safe, nice people, close to beautiful prospect park and close to yummy restaurants.
Frid was welcoming and kind. Check in and check out process was easy.
Thanks for a great stay!

Great value and wonderful hosts
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Frid was a fantastic host. Very responsive and incredibly accommodating. We had a red eye flight and arrived early in the morning as well as a late night flight when we departed so an early check in and somewhere we could leave our luggage on the day of departure was important. Frid was very understanding and accommodated our situation.
Unit was clean and was great value.

Comfy Flat in an Up and Coming Brooklyn Neighborhood
As per previous reviews this studio was very comfortable with everything you need to be whether eating in or out. Fantastic neighborhood, great shops and restaurants, great transit for Brooklyn or into Manhattan. But the best part of the experience for us (an older couple) was getting to know Frid, who is an awesome lady, incredible host, an architect who is still remodeling the flat and busy on rebuilding the neighborhood, which is rapidly gentrifying. Can't wait to return next year to see what exciting changes have happened in the area.

lovely pied à terre
Frid’s apartment is a lovely pied à terre in a great area of Brooklyn. It felt safe to walk around and as if we were living in a real neighbourhood. Hole in the wall pizza from Luigi’s was a first night highlight. Reccommended.

My daughter and I loved the studio! I will absolutely be back again.
The studio has everything you need and is very charming with lots of light. The neighborhood is great for walking to good restaurants and markets and not too far from the subway. Couldn’t have been better.

Cosy Home away
We spent 8 nights in this cosy traditional Brooklyn home and loved everything about it. The location was perfect. A family friendly neighborhood, close to some great restaurants, and ideal to catching the subway to see the amazing Manhattan sights. Frid and Shaun were helpful with any of our questions and made us feel very welcomed. I can’t wait to return and will definetly stay here again.

Immaculate, comfortable studio apartment in great Brooklyn neighborhood
This flat was a great find for me, as my son's family lives just up the street. The 2nd floor back apartment was clean, quiet, bright, and pleasing to the eye, as well as comfortably furnished and well-stocked. The appliances and bath fixtures are modern and convenient, and the bed is comfortable. The owner Frïd is easily accessible by text or a knock on the door downstairs, but she doesn't bother you, so I felt at home there. There are many good bars, restaurants, and bodegas in this safe, friendly neighborhood, which is walkable from the F, G, and R trains. The 67 and 69 MTA buses give you access to anything on 7th Avenue with transfers to the subway. Green-Wood Cemetery is a cultural treasure with historic trolley tours every week, and Prospect Park provides many outdoor activities. I highly recommend this neighborhood and property!

Cozy calm and comfortable stay away from the chaos
We stayed here a few nights while doing the museums of the city. Bed was super comfortable. Huge fridge and stove worked great. About 15 min walk to r line. Found a grocery to stock up on breakfast lunch items. Frid checked us in. We had our own entrance and keys to come and go. Very safe area.
