5 sisters 2 sister/cousins and 6 daughters annual gathering. Perfect place to get together, plenty of space for everyone. Not enough paper towels and toilet paper for 13 people even though rental says holds 14

We stayed here for a weekend to attend a wedding at Bar harbor … beautiful house , quiet, little far to Bar harbor 40-45 minute drive .. a/c would be great but did cool off throughout night … overall this house was 5 stars … wish we could of stayed at the house longer to enjoy the grounds!

It was a spacious home and a comfortable enough place. It does not necessarily give a homey feel but does have plenty of games, books, and kitchen supplies which was very helpful. As most places in Maine, it does not have AC and windows need to be left open. The majority of the time it was at a reasonable temperature.
Although the house is close to the water and you can see glimpses of it from the house, I wouldn't classify it as waterfront. You need to walk down someone else's driveway to reach the kayaks and water's edge. It never became an issue with the neighbors though.

We had 14 of us to celebrate our anniversary and it was great! Hiking at Acadia almost every day. We didn’t take advantage of the kayaks because we didn’t have life jackets. Enjoyed firepit

House was great & perfect for all 12 of us. Hostess was great with communication & responded quickly. The is no A/C. It was not a deal breaker. Our last day was in the 90s. It was hot but managable. There was a breeze with the windows open & fans in every room. About 30-45 mins from Bar Harbor & Acadia. Great location to be outside of the hussle & bussle of the attractions. Walk down to the water is beautiful & there are kayaks to use. Great house to rent.

This house was amazing for our party of 8 (4 children + 4 adults). Lots of room for everyone, beds were comfy, house was VERY clean and located very close to shops for groceries. Hosts were quick to answer any questions we had. Only thing I would mention is that to get to the water you do have to walk past the house between this house & the inlet, so if it also has guests, you are walking down their driveway & through the edge of their yard to get to it. Not a big deal but they may wonder why you're walking down towards their rental :) I put this comment just for other renters as we were confused & had to ask the Hosts as we didn't want to go the wrong way. But overall the stay was amazing & we will certainly consider this location again should we go back to the area. Thank you!!

It was a great location for a family trip. Everyone had the space they needed to spread out.

I celebrated my 30th birthday with my family and my partner's family. There was ample space for all of us to be together and spread out around the house. There are kayaks that are shared with the other properties by the water and we had our own fire pit. Plenty of space for cooking. Shawn was very responsive to our needs as they came up during our stay and was very helpful. We would definitely book this place again if we all end up in the Acadia area.

Great stay

For our 50th anniversary we decided to take our entire family to Acadia. I researched every lodging option for a group of 13. This house sounded perfect. And it was! There was plenty of room for all 13 (8 adults, 3 teens, 2 kids). Everyone had a room with a door. The house was immaculate. The kitchen was packed with everything we could possibly need or want. The showers were wonderful and we never ran out of hot water. The linens were plentiful and if good quality. We used the grill daily and the fire pit once. WIFI was decent and there were so many TVs with a Roku in each.
The location was great for Acadia, provisioning, and seeing the area.
We had a great time. Thank you Shawn and Christine.

Very nice for a large group with a great location close to both parts of Acadia (Mt Desert Island and Schoodic Peninsula). Our group of 10 adults and 3 teenagers had more than enough room. We loved the game room and the kayaks

Beautiful home. Thanks for sharing!

This is a lovely property that is very well kept. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the house. We were a group of 10 moms with 2 kids 6 and under and we had more than enough space to enjoy and not feel cramped and on top of each other.

Beautiful, quiet property! Was so enjoyable sitting at the fire pit in the evenings with the wide open star filled sky!

We had a great time at this property in Hancock! The location was great and the kids loved the outdoor space. Our group of 8 was more than comfortable with room to spare. A short, but memorable stay!

We had a lovely stay, with 12 people in our extended family. The house was clean and spacious. It's close enough to Acadia National Park, but also in a quiet location. The kids want to go back!

This house was perfect for our needs! We had family coming in from different states for a wedding. Not only was there enough space for all of us, it was clean and had plenty of bathrooms to get ready in! If we are ever in need of a place near Bar Harbor again, we would book this place in a heart beat!

TV service was subpar......an antenna would be nice for local channels. Little essentials were left, that was nice. (paper towels, coffee with filters, hand soap, toilet paper, foil) We enjoyed our stay very much. Excellent fire ring and setting area. Property was very spacious and accommodated us all very well.

We needed a big house to accommodate all of us and this house fit the bill. The house was very clean. We loved the movie room, it was a great place for the kids to hang out and be kids. The bedroom on the first floor was a little small but we made it work. Overall really enjoyed our stay.

Everything you need for a larger group within a short drive of Bar Harbor/Acadia. House was well outfitted and clean!

Everything was well kept and clean for the most part. Just wish all of the kayaks were in working order. It was great having a fire at night or sitting on the deck, except for the mosquitoes 😅. Would recommend

Good Acadia Nat. Park Accomodations
Much larger than We expected accommodated 5 couples perfectly with own bedroom space. Well equipped kitchen. Only wish that bedrooms had ceiling fans but each bedroom had window or standing fans. Well kept up property. Great stay!

The Best of Bar Harbor
Our stay at this property was one of our best. We’ll-stocked house, kayaks and thoughtful touches made our trip memorable. Sean was incredible and was available to take our call.

Nine of us ladies enjoyed the home, it was clean and more than enough space for all of us to share. Some pieces of furniture (especially the couches) are a bit worn, with no support and stained (we covered the upstairs couches with sheets). Also, for a home that can accommodate 10 plus guests - more cups/mugs are needed (I bought my own and left behind). Doesn’t sound liked a big deal until all of you want coffee or tea in the morning. There were plenty of nice plates and cutlery, plus serving pieces. Lots of seasonings and spices. The many small appliances were good quality and worked well. Sitting outside in the back on the mornings was a favorite for our ladies. We thoroughly enjoyed the movie room for spreading out.
One thing to note-there is no air conditioner in the home. This was not an issue for us due to the timing of our visit, but not sure how comfortable it would be in the middle of the summer.
Really did not have much communication with Shawn, which was a little frustrating-but he was responsive when we had a little issue, although we resolved ourselves.
Overall, it was a good stay.

Great space to make memories
Our group of 14 (6 adults and 8 kids) enjoyed our stay. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces were set up well for hosting large groups. The kids loved being able to skip rocks at the water and run around in the yard.

A great place for our large family group with lots of places to sleep and great common areas.

Rental property was great. Our impression was that the property, as well as those in the area, are primarily used as vacation rentals as opposed to actual homes. The property was spacious and had ample sleeping places, unlike some other rental advertisements that stretch the numbers. Most rooms have a tv monitor in them. We rarely used them but it was nice to have. The deck in the backyard features a grill and ample seating. There is firewood on hand for the firepit, but we bought some firestarters to accelerate the process. We did not take advantage of the kayaks or the bikes at the property, as we spent most of our time in Acadia and Bar Harbor, but the lake was nice. The kitchen was also well stocked with cooking supplies. We noted some pre-existing scratches and dings around the house, which can be typical for rentals in New England (e.g. scratches on a door frame, dent for a door stopper), but we never had to mention these to the property manager and received our security deposit back very quickly. We also found it easier to communicate with the owners/property manager over the VRBO app (we did not receive a call back when we were having problems operating the grill - which just worked different than ours at home).
We would recommend staying here if you have a large group and would do it again.

Very nice stay. Gorgeous backyard with firepit, clean new house. Had a great time.
Only part that surprised us was there were 5 bedrooms, not 6. The movie room is the 6th bedroom- it has a bug pullout couch.

We had 6 adults in the house with room to spare. The house is lovely and well appointed. The accommodations were super comfortable. It was perfect for our sibling & spouse reunion. My only regret is that the weather didn't allow us to get out in the kayaks during our short visit. It's a beautiful spot and very comfortable.
