Caroline is fantastic.

This place was amazing ovef everything about it, will stay again no doubt!!
4.7
We loved this house—it had everything we needed and was walking distance to bars and restaurants in a great neighborhood. We'll definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in Houston.
4.7
The beds are very comfortable. We like the off street gated parking.
4.7
Pros: Hip and eclectic neighborhood where we could walk freely to many restaurants. Comfortable beds/linens/pillows/comforter and a good hot shower. Unique little house. Good Wifi.Cons: Television that gets zero decent stations.Annoyances: Temp in the house was 50 degrees and took 6 hours to warm up. Gate was not open and door code was not my phone number as indicated in the check-in instructions. The pros were far more important than the cons and we really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic rental, unbeatable location, would stay here again!
4.7
Nice place near everything. Front walkway is very uneven and busted up, so travelers with mobility issues or weak ankles may want to skip.

Staying in a 100+ year old house with unique design was a great way to start our weekend vacation. The neighborhood was full of Gary restaurants within walking distance and the house was within 10 minutes of the museum district which was our main destination. The only reason I did not give 5 starts to the check in process was because the last four digits to the door lock was supposed to be my phone number, but it was not.
4.7
The students loved the the TV and Wi-Fi, go figure, they brought their Switch. So after a long day at the conference with running robots they say and played, and I got to sit in the back and relax
4.7
Very easy to find in a nice older neighborhood. Secure parking behind a gate, off street, which was really nice. We were only there for 2 nights but it had everything we needed.

Walk to many things; easy drive to others. Great central location. Quiet spot to relax. Very cool house and yard.

My stay at this lovely Montrose property was work-related and the house offered a beautiful, homey environment to rest, cook, and relax. It had everything I needed and more - wonderful art, furniture..an aesthetic that felt very enriched and comforting. The kitchen was well-equipped, washer/dryer excellent, plenty of towels, pillows, blankets, excellent cooling/heating system (had occasion to use both while I was in Houston), spacious designated office area, etc. Also, communication with my host was virtually immediate and accommodating. I look forward to staying again next time I'm in Houston.
4.7
As advertised, the location in Montrose is why we choose the property. Easy, clean. Only complaints would be the front paths are
More than a bit hard to navigate at night. The bricks are so uneven. No iron, ancient fold out of the wall Ironing board is hard for a tall person but it is functional. Beyond that it was what we thought it would be from the listing. Great little kitchen.
4.7
Great location for our needs. Just the right amount of space for our needs.

Great Stay
The house was great and the location was close to everything we needed. It was the perfect size for our family of four. The property manager was quick to respond and helpful. If we are in Houston again, we will definitely return here.

The address in near numerous restaurants/clubs and close to downtown, the museum district and the medical center. The home's interior was tidy and spacious, inclusive of a comfortable office area. Wifi was great, television program access less so. The kitchen and laundry areas were well appointed and the property manager was friendly, courteous and easy to contact, which we appreciated give our 6-day stay. The property needs maintenance, i.e. bedroom door handles were absent or not functional and the pedestrian gates are broken, so one cannot secure the front or rear outdoor spaces. The back yard was cute, but could use some sprucing up. One easily fixed oddity would be the limited area for clothing storage. The bedroom closets were almost entirely filled with linens, pillows, etc. with only 2 hangers and a few pegs. Armoire was inaccessible and there were no dressers.

This property was awesome.. It was everything you expect in an old house with all the bells and whistles of a modern upgrade.. Can't wait to stay again..

House is just a few blocks from a ton of nightlife spots and eateries.
Pro’s:
Great location
Clean
Keypad door entry, contactless check in
Decent water pressure in shower
Con’s:
Very very low water pressure at kitchen and bathroom sinks
The thinnest and cheapest toilet paper on earth (altho I understand not spending a ton of money on this by the property owner)
The walkway to the front door is in shambles. If it’s dark out it’s quite dangerous
The mattresses are very hard. I have a firm mattress at home but these were like concrete. Woke up with a numb shoulder a few times.
Tip: The TV remote does literally nothing. The volume and channel buttons dont have any effect. The guide Doesnt work. Ignore that remote and use the Roku remote. The volume and channel buttons are on the side of that remote. However, I couldn’t find any basic network stations like Fox, CBS, etc. Went thru all of the channels one by one (no guide) and all of the apps on the Roku but no dice for Sunday football - - no issue tho, the Houston Eagle a couple blocks down had them on! That place is a hoot.
Overall this place is a good value for the money and the location makes it worth it.

Front yard can be a walking hazard as very uneven brick to navigate especially in the dark. Glad we didn't bring the dogs as with the rain it was a muddy mess front and back.

i enjoyed my stay but was disappointed with the slow response of the Evole company. I asked if we could get a refund because we were not bringing our pet and did not receive a response in a timely manner. the property manager was very responsive once we were given the contact information but really disappointed ithat we could not find out about the pet policy before the trip and possibly find a place that was cheaper since we did not bring a dog.

Our family had a great stay while in town for a family wedding. The location was very convenient to downtown. The house is as advertised, a fun, quirky, little old house. It was very clean. It was rainy while we were there, so we didn't get to enjoy the backyard. There is a small little park a couple of blocks down the street, as well as a nice coffee shop.

I cannot say enough about this beautiful, art filled home. The backyard space is an oasis covered by a tree canopy. Waking up in the back room, you’d think you were in the country looking out the wall of windows. The neighborhood is inviting - we walked twice a day! The owner, Caro, was more than responsive. Everything from taking care of a repair issue within 3 hours to taking interest in my daughter’s art. We stayed 6 weeks for medical reasons and this home was our safe place. We will actually miss this sweet home!

Loved this sweet house and location!!
Exactly what I was looking for in a relaxing getaway! Great location with walking distance to restaurants, bars, coffee shops and parks. Plus, the house was sweet and perfect!

Worked out great for us and the dogs
The location was really good it was close to restaurants and coffee shops. The yard was perfect for our dogs. Our daughter lives close by so that was definitely a plus.

Nice, just a few thoughts
The house is a comfortable older cottage. The location is good for walking to some local restaurants. Our only issues were that we were unable to cancel weeks in advance without having to pay part of the fee (we had a legitimate reason to cancel) but we decided to go ahead and make it work rather than pay the cancelation fee. There was also no hair dryer or soap and when we notified the owner, the response was that they didn't think there was a hair dryer anymore and they would order one. There was no attempt to get one to us before we left. We did not make a big deal out of it but this just seemed a bit lackluster in the "help our guest out" department. Overall, our stay was fine, the cottage has charm and luckily our issues were minor. It was nice to be able to park off street and the kitchen was well stocked with glasses and plates (we didn't cook so didn't check cookware).
4.7
Excellent
We really enjoyed the property and location. The house fits the area in terms of age but has all the modern necessities. There are numerous restaurants within easy walking distance and it is close to the downtown attractions.
