This is really a superior b and b and a great value at around 200 euros including breakfast. We travel a lot so have pretty developed opinions about what we care about and this met our needs and more. The room is very clean, good linens on the bed, and had separate closets for each of us, and large, high ceilings. Also in our bedroom was a minibar with drinks and beer. Our large bathroom had a tub and good hot water. The room was tidied every day. There is a separate living area for guests which is comfortable and spacious. A nice interior courtyard stored our bicycles. Jean-Luc was a chef and created an original breakfast every morning, which was fun. He was very helpful and provided the right amount of interaction. On the day we had an early train he rose to give us coffee at 5:30 and packed us a delicious picnic breakfast. All and all, a superior stay.
I wish check in was earlier than 5 pm, although he did let us drop our bags off at 2 pm.

Everything was fantastic, from the greeting and service to the thoughtful design of the place. The breakfast however was the highlight, absolutely outstanding!

Jean-Luc takes stress and turns it into smiles. He’s the best part of Antichambre, but even if you took him out of the picture, it’s still a lovely place to stay. The room was spacious, the bed and bedding were comfortable, the water pressure and temperature were perfect. Breakfast was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my entire life, no lie! (And Jean-Luc cooked it. What talent!) The location is perfect. Jean-Luc’s explanation of how everything worked, his encouragement to practice it all, and after all our stress, wine in a serene courtyard was perfect.
Jean-Luc is the best host I’ve ever found in all my years on the planet.
Getting into Nîmes was very stressful due to traffic. Finding the parking was also very stressful. But Jean-Luc met us outside, helped us navigate into the space, and carried our bags through some tight and steep stairwell. So there really was nothing to not like.

Great location in the centre of Nîmes, yet a very calm oasis. Really comfortable bed and lovely room, great decor and lovely courtyard area for delicious breakfasts.

It is very luxurious and private. We felt very secure. Our room was very spacious with a fabulous modern bathroom. We even had a tea kettle and coffee machine in our suite. There is a private outdoor area plus a gorgeous inside lounge area with comfortable seating in both.

The location is perfect, the hospitality is unrivalled and the bed was the best we have had. The breakfast was five star and my wife is a ceoliac and Jean Paul made her a special gluten free breakfast each morning.

Excellent hotel, a proper hidden jem. The owner can't go out his way enough to make you welcome.
Welcome drink and nibbles, explains every thing, where to eat and what to see. Does help as hotel only has 3 rooms. Breakfast excellent a smorgasbord of delights.
Can't recommend it enough.

This is really a wonderful and hidden treasure in Nimes. The host is very helpful and provides you with the names of the best restaurants in town. On top, the breakfast was extraordinary. The best I ever had. All famous sightseeing spots are within 5 to 10 minutes walk. Perfect!

Jean Luc went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and help us navigating the tight streets of Nimes with our car. His breakfasts were out of this world. Great location for walking around the beautiful town of Nimes.

Beautiful property like staying in a friend’s gorgeous home. Really nice courtyard to relax with trees and couches. Living room with music high ceilings and couches to relax inside. Room was big and very comfortable. Everything was very designed and thoughtful. Breakfast was like eating in a wonderful restaurant. Had eggs with truffles one morning and frog legs another. Very hospitable and kind owners. Enjoyed their company and assistance with travel.
Perfect location in city center one block from arena.
Taking a shower is a little tricky.

We decided to visit Nimes and Montpellier (France) flight from Ireland lasts a little more than 2val. And that is great because the flight is early and you come to Nimes ~9.30am. and has a full day to visit the city. We have chosen the stay in Nimes at "Antichambre Chambres Urbaines" Marjorie & Jean-Luc house. We are very grateful to them for the warm and pleasant consent. Jean-Luc met us with wine and snacks. He tells about all the places of interest that we should visit and also recommended restaurants for the dinner. We have chosen near the house "The Bird" restaurant where we able to enjoy amazing food and wine. Marjorie & Jean-Luc Home looks like 5star Hotel (Or maybe even better) rooms are very large with a wonderful bath where we could relax after dinner. A wonderful yard where you can enjoy the day and evening while drinking wine or other your favorite drink. If you arrive in cold or rainy weather they have a great and wonderful place inside. Here you can enjoy your favorite music and watch the burning fireplace. In the morning Jean-Luc met us with coffee and fresh orange juice, as well as breakfast that should be evaluated in the Michelin star. It was the best breakfast in which we eat. Thank you for such a great time and we will definitely get back to you.
This is the only place where you can enjoy life🙏🙏

The hotel was within an easy taxi ride from the station and a short walk from a pleasant restaurant where we had dinner. The "Coliseum" was close by although we did not visit it as there was a pop music festival taking place. Breakfast was superb.
Our email informing the Patron of our arrival time had not been received and so we had some difficulty getting in on arrival. However, once he appeared he was charming and very welcoming and helpful. We had not realised that it was so small with only three rooms but that did not really detract from our stay.

I loved everything about Antichambre! Once in a while, a hotel far exceeds your expectations and this was one of those experiences. The personalized attention to detail, the design, the staff...every aspect of my stay was exquisite. Oh, and the breakfast...oh la la! Everything is prepared by hand by a Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef...I felt pampered beyond belief!
There was literally not one thing I disliked!

Based on other reviews on this website I booked a three night stay at the Antichambre and loved it. Everyone raved about the food for breakfast, it was exceptional, each morning a different breakfast beautifully presented and prepared by Jean Luc.
Bedroom was big and spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable
Surrounding area was quiet and only a minute walk to the amphitheatre and under a ten minute walk to the train and bus stations
Everything was perfect

Jean-Luc and Marjorie are amazing hosts, they made us feel at home right away and surprised us every day with a delicious breakfast on the beautiful terrace. As a foodie Jean-Luc also has the best restaurant tips! The B&B has a great location, all the highlights are at walking distance. We had an amazing stay! Jean-Luc even helped us with our car after we had some bad luck on the road. Would definitely stay here again!

We picked this place because of the exceptional ratings and description of the gourmet breakfast. We had super high expectations and they were exceeded! Upon arrival, Jean Luc gave us wine and snacks and helped us plan our stay in Nice, plus he made dinner reservations for us at a terrific restaurant. The next morning he made us a breakfast to die for. Our only regret was that we only booked one night here!
In short:
Bed was very comfortable
Room was quiet and was decorated very tastefully and modern
Breakfast was amazing/outstanding – a gourmet chef – by far the best breakfast ever on a trip! If I was authorized to assign a Michelin star, I would!
Location was great – we walked to everything we wanted to see
Parking was safe and secure
Bathroom was updated and had a great bathtub (no shower in our unit but there are units that have showers)
If we are ever in Nimes, we will stay here again (but get a unit with a shower)
Everything was exceptional!

Everything. Jean Luc has created a truly wonderful ambiance. We slept like logs. We were welcomed with apero and lots of help with sightseeing tips and a dinner booking. The breakfast was by far the very best of the many many places we have stayed around the world. Faultless. Delicious. Fresh. Stay here!!!

Jean-Luc was a fabulous host from start to finish making us feel very at home. Upon arrival we’d failed to book a restaurant, he immediately called up two and booked us in for our two nights stay in Nîmes. They were both fantastic. He also provided us with loads of great advice for exploring the city and the area. Last but not least the breakfast was out of this world and worth the stay just for that. We will be recommending to all of our friends.
Not much.
