It worked perfectly for us

Awesome location nestled between Lincoln and Littleton. 15 min drive to either city! Highly recommend!

This chalet was perfect for us. It was immaculately clean which is most important to me! Beds were very comfortable. We were mostly outside for our trip but the house had everything we needed for when we were there. We loved how quiet and remote it was. The location to echo lake was also very convenient! Carolyn was quick to respond to any questions I had & gave some great recommendations for places in the area. We would rent again!

Very clean. Beds were comfortable. Issue with the toilet when we arrived that the owner promptly had repaired. Great location for hiking adventures. Missed a microwave - guess I didn't read the property description carefully and we came expecting one. Title of property says one bathroom while description of property says two. There is only one that's functional, which was ok for us since we were only two. Main issue for us was the refrigerator - both the freezer and the fridge froze things solid. I turned the fridge temperature to as warm as possible, but no luck. Ended up throwing food away that needed to be cold but didn't tolerate being frozen. Basement with tv and ping pong table was incredibly damp when we arrived. There was a dehumidifier whose bucket was full and so not running. By the end of the week, after running the dehumidifier full time and emptying its bucket regularly, the basement humidity was reasonable. Amazing how much water that dehumidifier pulled out of the air.

This is one of the best VRBO’s that I have stayed in. Cute, rustic mountain cabin.

Good property
The location was great and the house was clean. We enjoyed our time.
A ping pong table was listed, but it was not there. One time I messaged the property owner and they did not get back to me until I texted. The second bathroom toilet was not working. I had to purchase my own batteries for one of the TV remotes since no batteries were found at the house. Having to keep all of the trash inside the house for a week was stinky but we knew that ahead of time. There was no real view of the mountains from the property. The location to everything we were interested in was fantastic and we had a great trip.

Great house
Thank you for letting us rent your home. It was cozy and clean. The kitchen was well stocked and the set- up just right for a multi- generational trip. So relaxing!

beautiful spot in the woods near lakes and hiking trails
We are frequent visitors to this beautiful spot in the woods near lakes (Echo Lake is almost walking distance) and hiking trails (Artists Bluff is almost walking distance). The huge table is great for having two families eat together.

Loved the Moose House!
The house is in a super cute neighborhood and was so clean when we arrived. We named it the moose house due to all the moose decor around. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials (seasonings, oil, etc) as well as plenty of utensils and pots/pans. There is no microwave which wasn’t an issue for us. We stayed in July so we wished there was a grill to use since it did get a bit hot in the house having the stove and oven on. Everything was spotless when we arrived and the beds were pretty comfy! There is no AC so it did get a bit warm but the mountain breeze at night and the fans provided helped cool it down a ton. The owners must have a dog and the only reason I mention it is because my husband is allergic and his eyes were itchy and he couldn’t stop sneezing the whole time so would have been good to know in advance so we could have brought allergy meds. His allergies were worse in the basement which is where the tv is located. Also wanted to note there was no baby gate and the stairs to the basement are completely open with no door. Our youngest isn’t super mobile yet so it wasn’t an issue but I could see it being one if she were moving around more.
The location was great for easy access to all the areas big hiking spots. We took a day trip to Story Land and it was just under an hours drive. We did have a little bit of a hard time finding food nearby as everything is either in Lincoln or Littleton which are about a 20 min drive in opposite directions. If you plan properly this isn’t an issue.
This was our first time staying on this side of the White Mountains so any hiccups we had were purely due to not knowing the area or what to expect. We would def stay again with more proper planning next time!

Very cute chalet in great location
Overall we enjoyed our stay in this cute, nicely updated chalet. Close to Echo lake, Cannon Mountain, Lost Lake, and the Basin. Loved Polly's pancake house that was also closeby. Unfortunately downstairs toilet was not working when we arrived. Owners sent someone to take a look but it was not a quick fix, and they promptly offered reimbursement.

great vacation spot
We loved having this house as a home base for our hiking adventures this summer. The hosts were communicative and it was clear they put a lot of thought into guests' needs. One of the toilets happened to be out of service while we were there but it was easy to work around. We hope to return some day!

Mittersill Chalet
Our family had an amazing time staying at this beautiful home. The area was great, close to echo lake and hiking trails. The first floor bedrooms, kitchen and living space were perfect for our small family . We had an unusually warm week in June and were aware ahead of time of the lack of air conditioning and thus were prepared for warm nights. Plenty of fans were available, and the basement stayed cool, but the upstairs bedroom would have been a challenge to use due to the heat. We would love to come back and see the place in the fall/winter weather.

A great return visit
We stayed here for the first time in the summer, loved it, and count ourselves lucky that we could come back here to see the fall colors.

Great location close to The Flume Gorge and Franconia Notch State park, Cafe Lafayette Dinner Train, The Basin and more :).
The property is located at a very peaceful and relaxing area. Great views from the balcony. Beautiful fireplace. Highly recommend it!

Perfect stay
Gorgeous area. Perfect house for our little family. As others mentioned, the only downfall was not having a microwave. We didn't realize how frequently we use one until we didn't have it.

A great place for a quiet family vacation
The chalet is nestled in the hills of the white mountains, with views of a valley, and is surrounded by hiking trails. Echo Lake Beach is nearby for a flatter alternative. The chalet itself is very clean and has a wonderful equipped kitchen. The upstairs bedroom does get warm in the summer, for which the fans are useful. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

A treat of a summer escape
Our family of four had a wonderful early-August week. Highly recommended! The house is in good shape, and it provided easy access to hiking and biking trails on Cannon Mountain adjacent to the Mittersill resort as well as the nearby Artist's Loop trail and the Franconia Notch bike trail. The ping-pong table was a big hit with our tweens as was the big upstairs bedroom under the peak of the roof. The pair of 7-foot west-facing windows in the main room are spectacular, but the late-afternoon sun can be intense without curtains. Plenty of fans were provided, and the always-cool lower level with that ping-pong table beckoned as well.

Great stay!
Even before our stay, host was very responsive. We had a wonderful trip! As another review said, it does get very warm in the house so bringing fans is helpful. Great location and friendly neighbors!

Charming, well-stocked, and prime location
I loved this home so much - the pictures do not do it justice. What I appreciated most is that it’s very well stocked - the kitchen tools, shampoo, and cleaning products were all so nice. Bedding in the beds was great too. The location is awesome. I have AT&T and service was great. WiFi is strong and fast. There is no A/C so in the late afternoon it can get toasty but I used a lot of fans and did just fine. Downstairs in the basement lounge it’s always cool. I will definitely be coming back. The Echo Lake trails nearby were perfect for running. Thanks for having me!

Cute chalet in the trees
The location of the chalet was everything. I was able to get up and hike the Artist Bluff and Bridesmaid Falls, and walk/bike around Echo Lake before work. Close to other awesome trails and places like Schilling's Brewery. Besides the location, the chalet was very nicely decorated/furnished - it was just as cute as it looks in the photos. Like mentioned in another review, if it's a warm and super sunny day, one area gets very warm but I was able to manage with a nice breeze from the other side of the room. Andrew was also super responsive and a great host!

Nice property and nice location! It was clean and comfortable.. Perfect for our vacation. The kitchen was fully equipped. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of fresh towels and paper products. There’s a beautiful view from the living area and kitchen. We would definitely recommend!

Lovely, quiet getaway
Wanted to get away for the 4th of July holiday and found this listing. It was located near enough to all of the sight-seeing we wanted to do (lost river, polar caves, etc) but far enough out that you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere.
The cabin was clean and tastefully decorated and the owner was easy to contact during the booking process. My family enjoyed the ping pong table when it was rainy and outdoor activities were out of the question. The only issue we ran into is that there happened to be a bit of a heatwave during our stay and with all the large windows it had a bit of a sauna effect. We went to the Walmart and grabbed a few fans and it helped out quite a bit. But it would’ve been handy if there were one or two on property. Although I’m sure this property is more of a winter retreat when fans aren’t necessary! My family and I hope to return in the winter for some skiing! I would gladly stay here again.

Very memorable ski trip to the White Mountains
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Deer Pass. We stayed for a late winter ski trip. The location of the house was perfect for us. My dad is in his early 70's, and the close proximity to Cannon worked out great for us. I would ski most of the day, but my dad would only go out for an hour or two. I could easily pick him up from the house when he wanted to come out skiing. The house had everything we needed. The only thing missing that we could think of is a microwave. Other than that it is stocked with all the other essentials and was very cozy. The owner was super accommodating to us. We got very lucky on our stay and hit a 19" nor'easter powder day which was a great way to cap off the trip. I would rent this unit again, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful fall getaway
We had a lovely time! The place was extremely clean, had a wonderful view, and more than enough space for the group. Andrew was very responsive to my questions and even let us show up a bit early. Highly recommend!

Perfect little house for our getaway!
This house is beautifully renovated, immaculate, and tastefully decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were 4 of us and plenty of room. We especially loved our family ping pong tournament downstairs. The only thing missing was a microwave in the kitchen and was a little noisy due to the A-frame architecture but we got over it pretty quick. It was close to hiking in Franconia and close to Cannon Mt lifts. We may go back for winter skiing!

Perfect
This was just what we needed. Perfect size and location for our stay. Polly's Pancake Parlor was delicious. If we had know, we would have called ahead but the 1 hour wait was worth it.

Great home right near Franconia Notch Park, where we went hiking and not far from Mount Washington.
In a quiet neighborhood nestled in the trees on the side of a mountain. Newly renovated, clean, and comfortably sleeps 8. Owners easy to work with. Perfect for families!
