Had a lovely 3 night stay at this property. Plenty of space for 4 families, lots of hiking and other activities to do around the area. Really well equipped kitchen and a pizza oven too. We will be back to this lovely property.

We had hired Embers a few years ago for my husband's 60th so we could have our whole family stay. Everyone loved it so much we decided to come back for my 60th Birthday. As usual, Carolyn and Peter were nothing short of amazing and their attention to detail is incredible. Everything about Embers is wonderful, especially the huge deck allowing us all to lounge around and chat, the kids to play....even while enjoying listening to the pouring rain on the roof and looking out to the spectacular view - the lush green grass, magnificent old tree and the dam complete with ducks. The pizza oven was fantastic as was the large oven in the chef-equipped level kitchen. The grounds are really beautiful and very lush given all the recent rain. The weather was incredibly hot and muggy while we were there, so the only thing to note, in very hot weather, is that the Frangipanni & Bunk Rooms are not air conditioned, though there are fans. The pool was also great and very well used by us all. We had 8 adults staying with 8 grand children ranging in age from 1 - 10. We all loved it. Embers remains our first choice for any kind of family gatherings/functions where a beautiful, welcoming and extremely comfortable space is required. Thank you again so much, Carolyn and Peter. The set up of the property was perfect for our retreat. All the bedrooms were equipped with a bathroom and were placed around the central lodge containing the kitchen and eating/communal spaces. Also beautifully decked out with homely touches. The land surrounding was beautiful and peaceful. We all had a lovely time there and will definitely be back.

The property photos did not do it justice! The rooms were lovely and inviting. The layout of the main residence was relaxing and catered for relaxing to watching tv, to playing games and having a coffee while watching the ducks roam. Highly recommend for any family or friends gathering.

We booked the property for a wedding of approx 10-12 guests. Carolyn exceeded all expectations, allowing us to view the property a few months beforehand and also recommended local catering company, Thistle in the Woods (also amazing!). Aside from some wet weather, we could not fault the stay at all. The shared outdoor deck space and large lounge/dining areas were perfect for our needs, together with the seperate bedrooms which gave everyone their own space. Would highly recommend this property!

I booked Embers to celebrate my partner’s 60th over 2 nights with our closest friends and we had the most memorable time. We enjoyed spending time together on the deck, in the kitchen, around the pool & going for walks, but there was also enough space for privacy if needed. The kitchen is well equipped, and definitely a cook’s kitchen and we made the most of the pizza oven and bbq. Although I didn’t get to meet Carolyn, she was easy to communicate with and the booking process was easy. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to book a special place for a large group wanting to enjoy a special celebration.

Our family of 14 had an amazing stay at Embers. The kitchen was stocked with more than we needed, and the bedrooms were clean with comfy beds and all necessary amenities included. We also appreciated the heaters and mosquito coils provided (note it can be chilly at night). Our family absolutely loved the fire-pit and fire oven. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing family getaway! Communication with Carolyn and Peter was also clear and they were very helpful with any questions we had. A special mention to the ducks! Our family really enjoyed waking up early to feed them as duck food was provided. Our family would love to stay again in the future!

"Amazing Unique Property"
I am extremely happy & overwhelmed by the kindness & generosity of the owners of the unique property. We were caught in the latest floods whilst celebrating my husbands 60th birthday with all our kids & grandchildren. Carolyn kept in contact with me over the few days making sure we were ok. She offered for us to stay until we could get out as we were flooded in. This property is amazing for large groups & we are all talking about coming back again real soon. I would highly recommend 😊

Great accommodation for groups
We have a group of families who have a tradition of gathering together for New Years Eve. This was a perfect space for us to gather this year. Everyone enjoyed having their own family space and bathroom. We loved coming together for meals in the communal areas. The pizza oven and fire pit were great. We appreciated the well equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches from the hosts. We brought in the New Year with the complimentary champagne - thank you!
It was in a beautiful, peaceful and private setting and close to lots of lovely little townships and bush walks for exploring.

Birthday Break with Friends
Embers was the perfect place to getaway for a few days and completely relax. Beautiful location with a fantastic backdrop overlooking the lake. The accommodation was set out perfectly for entertaining and chilling. Everything we needed was supplied. The only time we left the property was for a dinner in Montville Pub who provided a courtesy bus to pick up and drop off. We parked up , unpacked our drinks and food and didn't have to drive again until we left for home. Thank you to Carolyn and Peter for sharing this beautiful peace of paradise.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this property for 2 nights. Great communication from the owner leading up to our stay and wonderful personal touches included. The rooms are beautiful and it allowed privacy in each cabin but a nice communal area to hang out together to eat/swim/roast marshmallows. Will definitely be planning to come back :)

Recharging our batteries
Our family had a wonderful weekend celebrating my husband’s 70th birthday. The children were enchanted with the outdoor spa and with feeding the ducks and the kookaburras. The adults enjoyed the many nooks and crannies that provided opportunity to unwind and relax. Thank you to our hosts.

Loved every moment
Staying here for my birthday with our friends and family was the best idea ever as we had a relaxing place to enjoy some drinks surrounded by nature. Carolyn and Peter went above and beyond and the spa/ pool where amazing. Loved how the rooms where all seperate yet the main area was very social. The wood fire pizza was extremely tasty and a fun activity to get involved in. Overall extremely impressed ☺️

Embers of Landers shoot is an amazing property with everything you could ask for, for a perfect group getaway. Carolyn and Peter are exceptional hosts, from their fast communication to the special touches left for us when we arrived. Nothing felt like it was too much to ask. It is obvious the care put into this property and they really have thought of everything.

Wonderful wedding accommodation
Embers was amazing and we would highly recommend it to everyone. We recently stayed for our wedding and being able to have all 15 of us together made it such a special weekend. The accommodation itself is amazing and with so many amenities like the pool and spa and we definitely made full use of the awesome pizza oven. The hosts made the whole process so easy and communication was a breeze. Just want to say a big thank you to Carolyn.

Above and Beyond
This is by far the best homestay we've ever been to (and we've been to many). Embers at Landers Shoot is even better than the photos. It is a Balinese tranquil paradise surrounded by green trees and an abundance of wildlife. You instantly feel the stresses of life just melt away.
Our party of 12 arrived to a beautifully presented home with so many added touches like boxes of chocolates and popcorn awaiting our arrival and tea and coffee in each room, rolled up towels on every bed and mini soaps and shampoos. Every detail has been thought about.
The facilities available are amazing with 4 separate cabins with their own ensuites, a beautiful pool and an outdoor spa. This is a 5 star stay without the 5 star price tag.
You would be mad not to book this place and I am positive we will be back again.
