We loved the house, everything was perfect managed to our boat up the drive way which we originally thought would not happen. Heaps of boat ramps within a 5 minute drive. The host of the house was easy to deal. We can not wait to come back

The owner gave us good instructions and found property easily. Great view to Lake Eildon, Goughs Bay. Living area was spacious and plenty of room on couch for 5 adults. outside furniture also plentiful. All the beds were comfy and bathrooms clean. Good size fridge and dishwasher and good size TV which had the apps for streaming services if needed. Didnt use the second living area but it looked great for teens and kids. House needs a bit of maintenance but on the whole a great stay.

Very nice place. Driveway is steep and tight if you have a large boat it is challenging but still possible. We had a very nice stay. Would love access to private road nearby to get to Lake but had to drive around and use public ramps.

Holiday in the High Country
We all loved feeding the birds, great views , the house was lovely and clean, yard maintainance could proberly wait till guests have left, the only down side was that the siding doors need some fixing as can be hard to open, nice and close to everything.

Absolutely amazing
We absolutely loved our time at this property. It has the most beautiful views and we loved exploring the gardens. So nice to sit on the deck and see the stars at night. You could not ask for a better host. Gerard was so responsive. He made sure our stay was perfect. No issues what so ever. We honestly didn't want to leave. Such a great spot.

Amazing stay at mountain bay with magnificent view
Very clean and well equipped property. Comfy bed and heating system throughout the house. Bird feeding in the morning was fun for the kids.
Close to mount Buller ... about n hour drive. Beautiful view from the property.
Gerard was a wonderful host and communication was very easy.

Beautiful, comfy stay that had everything we could want.
We were 2 families with 3 children (in total). The accomodation was perfect with plenty of extra beds for larger groups. We stayed at Ngurra as a base for a day trip to ski at Mt Buller. We arrived late on Friday and we were able to quickly warm up the house with the great fireplace and panel heaters in the bedroom. The kitchen was well stocked and had all the pots/pans needed for the induction cooktop (ie - don’t bring your own unless they are for induction). Very importantly there were 3 types of coffee machine options (plunger, pods and one similar to a barista machine). Since we were away most of Saturday at Mt Buller we didn’t really get to fully enjoy the view and the surrounds of the house until Sunday morning. It really is beautiful. The kids really enjoyed feeding the king parrots and other friendly birds off the balcony with the bird seed supplied (in the laundry). We even saw an echidna. It was also great to have the Mansfield zoo nearby and and easy detour on the drive back to Mansfield/Melbourne after check out. The host was very responsive when I needed to contact them.

Perfect for a weekend at the snow
House is well setup for two families with everything you need. Clean and with enough space for everybody. About an hour drive up to Mt. Buller which makes this property an ideal place for families looking for somewhere to stay for a snow trip. The fireplace is nice and with a whole shed full of wood you won't freeze. Split systems are also installed. Telstra phone reception is good aswell. Gerard is friendly and had no trouble contacting him when needed. We had an awesome time, only wish it was longer. We will be back.

5 Star Accommodation Near Mt. Buller With Reasonable Price.
My family and I came from Perth, and recently we took another family from overseas to have a holiday in Mt. Buller. Seven of us stayed at the property.
All of us were impressed with our accommodation. We woke up with sound of local birds singing and great view of the lake. The accommodation was clean, great kitchen utensils and the owner of the property is very professional. He even contacted us after we arrived to check if we were alright.

Weekend family snow trip
We stayed at Mountain Bay for the weekend and drove up to Mount Buller for some snow fun. The whole check in process and communication throughout the booking and our stay was fantastic. Gerard was very quick to respond to our questions. The house was well presented, clean and the kitchen well stocked. It is about 15mins from Mainsfield and an hour to Mount Buller. We had a great time and will recommend the home to our family and friends.

The house was clean, spacious and well stocked. We absolutely loved sitting on the deck looking at the beautiful views and enjoying the birds that came to visit. We were two families and the house worked really well with the different zones. We’d love to come back!

Lovely Quite Spot
The house was in a lovely quite spot surrounded by beautiful trees and lovely views of the lake and when it was clear we could see the snow on the mountains. The house had everything we needed and could think of needing which was a huge bonus. The beds were comfy and waking to the birds in the mornings was also a treat. Had a few quite magpies and parrots that came every morning for hand feeding which was nice too. Even though out of town it was still an easy drive into Mansfield for a meal and also an easy drive up to Mt Buller. Will defiantly be back for another stay in the future :)

Close to Town, But Away from it all!
We had a wonderful week staying at Ngurra. Although an older property, it was clean and well maintained and the gardens were a lovely bonus. We had birds coming to sit on the balcony, including a very friendly kookaburra, magpies and a variety of parrots. It is close enough to explore Mansfield, Mansfield Zoo, Jamieson and the surrounding areas, as well as spend days on Mount Buller playing in the snow. The drying cupboard was excellent for drying the snow gear and we had everything we needed. If we had any questions, Gerard was happy to help and sent messages checking that we were settled in and fine. It was a wonderful welcome and we would definitely stay again if the opportunity arose.

Disappointing experience with the owners tarnished the stay. Will not return again.
Location is pretty and handy for driving to Mt Bulla. View from the balcony is beautiful and our boys enjoyed feeding the birds and playing in the garden.
Overall the house was well setup with everything you need. There was a constant stream of ants in the upstairs bathroom and the sheets were dirty in one of the bedrooms. Very frustrating about the lack of internet connection and wifi, especially for people that run their own business.
Unfortunately we had a less than pleasant experience with the owners on our second last day. The owners forgot that we had extended our stay by 1 extra day and they inadvertently leased the house to another family. We were out skiing for the day and received an extremely rude message from the owners stating that if we did not remove our belongings from the property immediately they would instruct the cleaners to put everything outside, even if it was raining!!! The apology we got when they realised it was in fact their mistake for double booking was almost non existent.

Ngurra was clean, spacious with excellent heating and a well equipped kitchen.
Our weekend at Ngurra was wonderful. The house is spacious and clean. It has a lovely garden, which our 2 year old daughter loved exploring, and a fantastic view of the lake.
We appreciated having a well equipped kitchen (incl. BBQ) and enjoyed lazing in front of the log fire in very comfy reclining couches. The heating throughout the house was excellent.
We were very impressed with how baby proof Ngurra was (safety latches on kitchen cupboards, safety gate on stairs). It was fantastic having access to a cot (2 were available) and change table.
There was a buzzing noise coming from a locked cupboard upstairs, which was a bit annoying and my in-laws could hear a pump throughout the night from their room downstairs. But overall, a very positive experience and lovely, relaxing weekend away. We'd love to return and make this an annual winter escape. Thank you for making my husbands birthday a memorable one.

Special place!
Beautiful home with views you never get tired of! It is the perfect place to just relax on the deck and take in the views, read a book, watch / feed the birds or take advantage of the many surrounding activities on the lake or in the region. It is like being at home, with everything provided. Would recommend Ngurra to anyone looking for accomodation in the area, with the hosts more than willing to make your stay a special one. Will definitely come back!
