Well kept and spacious.
There was only heat in all the property. We had to sleep with the balcony door open to be able to breathe. During dinner, other guest were taking theirs clothes off in order to withstand the heat. An abomination.

The restaurant
The room was dirty, the staff was unprepared: they didn't even help me with my bags at checkout. The fitness room has been under renovation for over 1 year. Pillows and bed horribles.

This is a truly special hotel in an amazing location. Every detail is considered, from the room design, the textiles (wool of course!), the meals, the spa, and the service. We have stayed at many luxury hotels around the world and this is a truly memorable place. Also the staff is very kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

Beautifully designed hotel located in the picturesque surroundings. We really enjoyed spa, sauna and massage were great. Dinner was delicious. We could not enjoy our stay more and we hope to come back
The only small issue were very thick blankets that were too warm for summer season. However, I am sure this matter could be solved if we stayed longer than one night

top location. stylish interior with Burel and designer furniture l cloths , nice spa and pool and occlude beautiful view over Manteigas
slow service from kitchen , breakfast buffet , very nice, but had to be replenished too often as not enough was put out . coffee had to be ordered and took ages to get, also some orders at dinner got mixed up.

Breakfast was tasty with a lovely selection of pastries, fruit, yogurt, and cereals apart from my boiled egg being so raw I couldn’t eat it.
Dinner service could use much improvement as we waited an hour for our appetizer, which was very good when it finally arrived. Sadly, my main course was unremarkable.

Everything ! What a fantastic place! The view is stunning, the room is spacious, the balcony offered a beautiful view on the valley, the food incl breakfast and dinner were delicious, the massage was sooo relaxing and professionally made...the staff working in reception, SPA, waiters or waitresses, cleaners were all very polite, warm and welcoming too. And thank you also to the very friendly guy who took us twice hiking in the surroundings of the second Burrel hotel, he is mega friendly, knowledgeable and passionate of nature!
Nothing to say except that the swimming pool temperature could be warmer! It was a bit chilly for an indoor pool.

Great location, beautiful property and great hotel staff! I am very grateful that they asked about dinning with them as you do not want to leave the property at night on those curvy mountain roads.
The restaurant staff were not as warm, friendly or attentive as the hotel staff. The sink in the room needs a place to hang a towel and place your toiletries.
