Very nice adcplaed

So close to River Riders Adventures and the National Historic Park.

The property was great for what we needed. It was three couples. The description of the house was a little misleading because most people think of “master bedrooms” as bedrooms with connecting bathrooms.. however, the house worked for us because each floor had a bathroom so each couple stayed on each floor. The basement was very chilly… but had a fireplace to warm it up if needed. The house was very clean and we had a great time.. it would be a great place for a girl’s weekend, another friend’s getaway, a history buffs retreat, etc. We could have stayed several more days and still had plenty to do.. overall we had a wonderful time.

We really enjoyed staying at this house and definitely plan on staying there again! Plenty of space for large groups! We loved how close it was to all the river riders activities. Loved that we could walk over to get checked in for everything and also found the trail that leads you to a restaurant that is attached to a hotel up the hill and an ice cream shop.

This house was booked as a homebase for the groomsmen for my sons wedding. All of the groomsmen were from out of town and needed accommodations for the weekend. They loved the location and everything about the house!

We arrived at Harpers Ferry last Sunday. We drove from Oklahoma. My daughter and family flew i from Des Moines ,Iowa and my son and family drove from Parkersburg, WV . The communication was great with Laura. The house was clean and as represented. The location was perfect for all our needs. There was 6 adults and 2 children. And there was more room then we needed. We enjoyed our stay and time in Harpers Ferry. Hope to return and would recommend this home for a family vacation.

Four couples in our early 60's hiking the West Virginia portion of the AT. We had such a great time because there is so much to do in that area. House is convenient to everything! Having space for everyone to have their quiet time if needed.

9 of us stayed in home! It was perfect! Location was perfect! We are already planning our second trip!!

The size of the home from the exterior is deceiving, it is absolutely huge. It was a perfect base for the wedding that our family was attending, and it fit everyone very comfortably. There were 9 of us however there was plenty of room to spare. We would certainly recommend to anyone who is looking for a very comfortable accommodation for many people.

The home fit all of us beautifully. There were three generations of people, all related, who stayed, and we loved the house for it's size and location. We loved Harpers Ferry, the hot tub, relaxing in the downstairs rec. room, and having two kitchens. We are hoping to come back at another time.

This home was truly amazing. So much room for everyone to spread out. A big, well stocked kitchen for cooking meals and a large kitchen table for up to 12 people. The downstairs area has a kitchen too, if you need it. That makes it very convenient for larger groups. The hot tub is very relaxing at the end of a long day. The beds were very comfortable, which is usually a hit or miss when renting a home. The house is secluded in the woods so you aren't bothered by noisy cars driving by. You'll even see some deer stop by to eat the grass. This is definitely a house I would rent again.

It is a very big well maintained house that can accommodate several families The constructive criticism that I have is the dog poop (that I believe is from the dog who lives on the property ) needs picked up. We had to do it ourselves in order to play lawn games in the front yard. Also someone needs to leaf blow the sidewalk, front steps. back patio and the jacuzzi area. There again, we swept the patio by the jacuzzi and picnic table.

Our family of 13 which included our children and grandchildren had a great home away from home experience. There was lots to do near and we ventured out an hour and a half away to D.C. which wasn't a bad drive. Luray Caverns was a little drive but not bad and there's kayaking not far away. It's a quiet location and we enjoyed the wildlife in the yard, which reminded us of home.

Wonderful weekend, lots of room and the home was lovely. It could use more silverware. When in the basement you need to use the fireplace but then it was perfect. Overall a great and we hope to return.

Beautiful location and a house for multiple families to enjoy. Beware that there is a separate residence on this location. It was a shock and when we arrived as it is not mentioned in the listing. The home is well equipped for a weeks stay and lots of great amenities. Unfortunately the maintenance is starting to be neglected from furniture, appliances to light fixtures not working. The staff was great helping when we arrived. King beds are great but these are as with other things needing updated. The WI-FI is in the mountains so it is very spotty. The basement is a great space but there are no bar stools. The 7 person hot tub is nice and the big yard and overall privacy being up on a beautiful hill. The location close to Harper's Ferry is amazing. Brush up on your Civil War facts because the house over looks a Civil War battle field which we absolutely loved!! Glad we picked this location!!

This property is lovely. The master suite is luxurious and the hot tub and basement fireplace are an awesome combo for relaxing. Super close to so many great hikes, civil war sites and restaurants.

We had a great stay. The property was spacious, very clean and very comfortable. The kids had lots of space to play and the adults had lots of space to relax and unwind. The hosts were easy to reach and very responsive and helpful and so nice. We loved going to Harpers Ferry historic site. The property feels secluded but is only 10 minutes from Walmart and Dunkin so you get the best of both worlds. We also took day trips to DC and Antietam and felt it was central to a variety of activities we were interested in. If we ever were back in the area we would definitely stay again.

Staff responsive once checked in (Brad was great). Alot of outdoor activities to do nearby. Cons/Concerns Dog hair on the carpets and sofas. Shoukd do a better job of cleaning those spaces. (The rest of the house was very clean) After booking. No response until a couple of hours before check in. (Booked a couple of days before check in. Once in the house communication was great as mentioned above). Jacuzzi had some issues. But they checked on it periodically. Internet connection was not working. Brad provided a hotspot that worked. Offered to have the IT person come to troubleshoot. Declined as we were checking out the next day. Overall great stay. My wife was happy so it made me and the other guests happy. Our children call it the WV Christmas house and we simply adore how they have already grown to love the memories we are making. The hot tub continues to be a family favorite but the size of the large downstairs allows for perfect movie nights with us all gathered together. The two kitchens are a dream for all that fridge storage!! We love the owners who are always receptive and so kind. Already booked for next year. Thank you!!

Laura and Matt are great hosts, and Laura was quick at communicating. Check in and check out was super easy! The house was well equipped., plenty of furniture and seating for everyone. Linens and towels were good quality, not like the stock linens you sometimes get with rentals. And there were little things that were just nice touches to make the stay more homey. One thing was one bathroom was alone on the first floor. The listing stated that but I didn’t realize the implication. So two of the rooms (main floor and lower level) are set up as masters. Upper level has 3 bedrooms and 1 bath, since the fourth full bath is alone on the main floor. It worked but was a toss up as to which couple had to take the downstairs bathroom. The house itself seems isolated but is literally minutes from the action and easy to find. Since it was December we didn’t get to use the outside much but it was a nice set up. Deer were in the woods behind the yard in the mornings and the sunsets over the mountain were beautiful. When we return to the area we will definitely stay here again!
