We’ve now stayed in both of Susan’s units at the Van Lee! We absolutely loved this one. First, Susan is an amazing, detail oriented host who leaves no questions unanswered. Next, everything from check-in, obtaining access, food recommendations, WiFi info, and anything else you could possibly think of was taken care of without a hitch. Susan thinks of everything! The condo is gorgeous, very modern, and just perfect! You could literally hear the ocean waves in the quiet of the master bedroom as you were lulled off to sleep each night. Check-out instructions were super simple and explicitly explained leaving no room for confusion. I just hope that it’s available for us next summer because any other place will always come in second place compared our stay with Susan and Dave! Thanks so much for sharing your home with us!

It was so nice to stay in this beach house! Great view, high-end furniture, kids’ room decoration that captured my son’s heart, Susan’s kind explanation on attractions and restaurants made my trip so pleasant and memorable! When we visit the Ormond beach area again, the first thing I will do is to book this place again! Thank you so much Susan for your considerate care for guests as a host!!! You made my trip the best!

We have experienced our fair share of rental properties and we typically book based on reviews, recommendations, or repeat stays. The stellar reviews of this condo obviously won us over but we weren't prepared for how much the owner has thought of her guests with every detai!
The decor is gorgeous! It is not your typical "coastal" vibe! It felt sophisticated and thoughtfully curated! When I realized the owner designed it herself, I wanted her to come redesign my own home!
We had the best nights sleep on the dreamy mattress and bedding. The master bedroom was so soothing and we appreciated all the thoughtful touches and OH MY GRACIOUS, THE VIEW IS SPECTACULAR! We couldn't wait to sit on the fabulous balcony and take in the gorgeous sunrise and sunset! I want to be back there, NOW!
The owner had everything we could possibly need or want in the kitchen! Thank you for the juicer to have fresh orange juice every morning! Also, thank you for anticipating everything we could want or need! We have never had an owner go out of their way for us to enjoy every second of our time! Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions from activities, to restaurants, to shopping and those secret non-tourist places we crave!

My husband, 10 year old grandson and I came into town for a quick beach vacation the end of May. Susan was so helpful in giving us amazing suggestions for things to do, restaurants etc! The condo had an absolutely beautiful view. It also had everything you could want for your trip, beach chairs, beach toys, a washer and dryer. We did several fun things but I think the best thing we did was just relaxing all day at the beach watching our grandson play in the water and the sand with the other kids that were there. Hopefully we can get back to Ormond beach soon, we will definitely try to stay at this condo again!

Cons: balcony not at all private (not in pictures). The ceiling in the kitchen is low and that doesn't show up in the pictures. There were some dead bugs (3) on the walls and ceiling and the owner offered to have the cleaners come back out and clean. Ice maker did not work; however, owner sent ice/water and offered to have it fixed while we were there. TV was not working. Let owner know and she suggested a restart of the WiFi. That worked for the main TV. We we never able to get the bedroom TVs connected to the Spectrum cable like the main TV. I did not tell the owner about the bedroom TVs because I was tired of communicating and wanted to be vacationing. The pool was ice cold and was hard to be in for anyone that we met, it did warm up towards by the fifth day and was comfortable on the last day 6-7. The condo has two elevators and only one worked for the majority of our trip. The reviews on this place sold me, but it did not live up to the hype. I have buyer's remorse.
Pros: Bed was comfortable, location is great (laid back), and guest bedroom mural is amazing.

Our stay at Ormond by the Sea was perfect. From sunrise to sunset, we enjoyed every minute. Susan was so accommodating and ensured every detail of our stay was pleasant. We thank her housekeeping staff for going above and beyond for us. We were able to enjoy our son in laws graduation and check in just in time.

Me, my husband, and 10 year old daughter had a great time at this property. The condo matches the pictures and you can't beat being right on the ocean. The property has everything you need to enjoy the beach (towels, chairs, sand toys, etc), but there are lots of things to do in the area as well. The owner Susan was warm and responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Susan has created a lovely, restful atmosphere to allow for reflection on the beauty of God's creation with each new day. The sunrises were glorious and the pounding surf brought great sleep every night. The building is structurally solid which prevents noise from neighbors in all directions. Susan is a gracious, welcoming host who responds immediately to any questions. The kitchen is well supplied with nice quality cookware and utensils. If you dine out, we would highly recommend Hull's for fresh, delicious seafood. The ice cream at Surfin' Scoops is the best we have had in both quality and quantity!! Thank you, Susan and Dave for sharing your wonderful condo!!

After our condo had a water leak, Susan came to the rescue.
The unit was beyond perfect. The view from the balcony, the proximity to everything you need, the comfortable beds ( slept so well) the kitchen, and the amazing rain shower, we are spoiled for all future travels. Susan had great local recommendations which were spot on! We loved everything. It was like staying in a 5 star hotel with more amenities. Great access to beach and pool area is perfect for relaxing and reading. We would stay there again and again. Great condo, great hosts, luxury, and so clean! We had an amazing time!!!

Susan’s property is STUNNING. The views are to die for. We will definitely be staying here again!
The property was very clean and we loved that this is a property we could just show up to and enjoy vacation. Beach chairs and toys are provided, the access to a washer and dryer, and the beautiful unit itself made our stay totally relaxing. We loved spending the day on the beach and the evenings watching wildlife from the balcony. We even saw some dolphins! Susan had some wonderful suggestions that we took advantage of and were some of the highlights of our trip.

Amazing started when I booked the suite and very shortly received communication from Susanne. She was able to confirm the reservation and also to share with me additional information specific to my trip. From there, she made herself available to answer all questions, and to prepare me for arrival and access to the property. Her positive upbeat personality genuinely created anticipation for our vacation because she was sharing favorite places to eat, visit, and areas of focus to enjoy our stay. The posting is very accurate so parking near the door, the gathering of luggage and the trip up to the condo was extremely easy given the close proximity of parking. The ammenities were very comfortable from the entry of the Condo, sitting on the balcony, and sleeping in a very comfortable bed with the light sounds of ocean waves made for a very restful nights sleep each night. Sunrise with breakfast on the balcony was amazing given we had the luxury of seeing whales lightly rolling in the distance on the calm ocean. Susanne checked in the night before our departure to ensure we had everything we needed, and on the day of departure went above and beyond to ensure we was accommodated as needed. The stay was effortless, the condo was relaxing, and the amazing attitude of Susanne ensured we will be coming back soon!
I would give the experience a 10 if that was an option! It was AMAZING!!!

We spent the last two nights of our honeymoon here. Everything was Fantastic!! It’s a beautiful condo, artfully decorated and with awesome views of the Atlantic Ocean. Susan (our hostess) could not have been more responsive!! I definitely recommend this unit and will certainly stay again if we’re ever back in the area.

What absolutely perfect week. If I could give Susan 10 Stars I would. From the Beautiful Decor the Views and it was Spotless. All you need is a Swimsuit, everything is provided for you. Beach Chairs, Beach Towels , Umbrellas and a playmate cooler for the beach. Everything is Secure there which made me feel very comfortable. Keys to get in the building and to open the gate for beach access. Open parking which I Love, always plenty of spaces. Susan gave me links to great places to eat and go see. I had my 8 year old grandson with us . So we drove over to Universal 1day short drive about 1 hour and 10 minutes. We drove over to Daytona Beach and ate at Bubba Gumps which is a must do best meal I had all week only about 15 minutes from the condo. If your looking for a million dollar view and the Perfect Host this is the place for you. Thank You Susan for a Fabulous much needed Wonderful Vacation.

Really enjoyed our stay. The condo was very well equipped from kitchen equipment to beach chairs. Very artistically decorated and clean. The building is older and may not blow you away at first. However it is well maintained. I have stayed at quite a few VRBOs and Susan was the most hospitable and phone available. Hope to rent there again

Five stars isn’t enough to describe this property! Amazing views from the balcony. The sunrise, the moonlight shining over the ocean waters. And all the amenities you would have at your own home. To top it all off, the customer service is second to none! Thank you for allowing me to stay at your condo.

I would rate it 10 out of 5. One of the best places that we have been. We went there to celebrate my wife's birthday and would not have chosen a better place. The beach is private, clean, and peaceful. The local restaurants are fantastic. The apartment is exceptionally decorated, but the best of this trip was Susan (the host), she was always available and worried about making our stay perfect and it was. Thank you!

This is an incredible property! The condo was built in the early 80s and shows it's age just a big on the exterior - could use a little TLC in the paint dept. (although it has been updated in the things that really count, like the elevators), but WOW on Susan's renovation of her units there. 703 is spectacular, beautifully appointed and decorated, and she has made sure her guests have every little thing they need, from coffee to beach/pool items. When the tide is in, the condo is so close to the beach that when you look out at the view, all you see is ocean and it gave us the impression that we were literally on a cruise ship. The patio is spacious and has great furniture on it. We sat out there with coffee in the morning and wine in the evening - gorgeous! The pool is large, RIGHT on the beach and was very uncrowded when we were there (early Sept.) And don't get me started on the comfy bed.... We can't wait to be able to get back down there. Soooo many great restaurants in Ormond Beach too!

We will definitely come back. This is our kind of place. Quiet. Clean. Comfy. Off the beaten path but so peaceful. Our host is amazing. We stay in a lot of hotels and we stay in a lot of VRBO spots. This is a keeper.

Our stay at this property was perfect from making the reservation to checking out. I have never experienced an owner so prompt and organized. The pride in her condo was clear, the way it was furnished, the cleanliness, and her help in finding local things to do in and around town.
