Lovely home, property and very quiet neighborhood.

The pre-arrival interactions with the owners were great including when they notified us that one of the showers would not be available. One of the owners met us at the house and showed us around, she brought us some homemade jelly as an apology because the shower was out of order.
We have rented many homes over the years and this is my first less than stellar review. I was perplexed over some issues with this property including a lack of basic supplies such as spices (though the listing said they were included), and the limited stash of toilet paper and garbage bags. Asked the owner where to find garbage bags and she said normally renters brought their own. There was no information that we'd be required to provide these things and never have I ever been asked to when renting a home.
During our stay we dealt with a recurring issue with mice. I notified the property owner after the first "visit" and she mentioned the house was serviced by Orkin and offered antibacterial wipes to clean up the droppings. We notified her of subsequent issues but there was no offer to remedy the situation with a visit from pest control or other suggestion. We had to keep our food locked up in coolers and/or the refrigerator to protect from the mice.
We attempted to use the gas grill and, prior to putting any food on it, it caught on fire and we had to use a fire extinguisher to put it out.
There were bright spots for sure but we would not consider returning to this property.

This will be a house we always remember! The pictures do not do justice. All the furniture and bedding were top of line, you could tell the host made our comfort a priority. So much space to spread out with a large group but still felt cozy and posh. We will definitely stay again!

We stayed in mid February, three brothers and their wives for a short winter getaway and to reconnect. The host, Sharon, met us at the front and gave us a tour of the house and everything we needed to know for our stay. This house was unique and unlike any other house we have experienced. The entire lower level/basement is set up like a cobblestoned street with store front windows with a theatre complete with a light up marquee, game/aracade room, living room, laundry room, full bathroom, and exercise room. The house was immaculately clean and comfy. Various areas to gather and relax as well as a large cook in kitchen with everything you need and several dining tables of various sizes to choose from along with seating for six at the counter top. The beds were very comfortable and clean, water pressure great with walk in showers. The home was decorated very nicely and great attention.
The host was very easy to communicate with and very helpful and pleasant. We loved this house and would not hesitate to rent again in the future. Wonderful stay! We highly recommend it and plan on coming back!

Family and friends stayed here for a few days before and after my daughter's wedding at Laudholm Farm. Absolutely the perfect location and wonderful accommodations! Plenty of room for everyone -- open floor plan was great! Whole bridal party got ready at the house before the big event, which was fantastic!

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at this house during our trip to Wells this summer. The owners are very kind, friendly, and were extremely responsive to any questions throughout the booking process and during our stay. The house is lovely, and very comfortably accommodated our large group (ages 2 to 76!). It was also located centrally near the beach, great restaurants, mini golf, and other activities. our favorite part was the extensive seating available in the dining area, which was so helpful for our large family!

We truly enjoyed this magnificent home for our stay in Wells! The yard and hardscapes were great for all the young kids to play and the great room and kitchen/dining area was a constant hang out! The access to the beach is easy and the location in North Wells makes getting around a dream! Can’t wait to come back!

What a wonderful visit! Sad to leave Maine for the hot and humid south. We appreciate your hospitality and the accommodations afforded us during our stay. It was a most magical week/weekend for our family and having a home base from which to launch the wedding festivities at Laudholm, host dear friends and family, and relax at the end of each day made a BIG difference!

Me and about 12 friends stayed here for a bachelor party. Every single one of us was OBSESSED with this house! There is a ton of space, a huge yard, and lots of beds & sleeping areas. Everything inside of the house is so nicely put together, you can tell that a lot of work has gone into it. The owners were very, very nice and super easy to communicate with. It is close to a number of different restaurants and other places if you are looking for activities. I would highly recommend this house to anyone!!

We just returned from our long weekend at this amazing home with our 4 children, their significant others, our 4 grandchildren and my husband's mother. To say we had an absolutely beautiful weekend would be a true understatement. The home has everything you could possibly want and very comfortably accommodated all 15 of us. The kitchen is so well stocked that if they don't have it, you don't need it! The master is something dreams are made of. And the overall comfort of the house is just hard to explain. I felt right at home all weekend and didn't want our stay to end. Rebecca and Sharon are consummate hosts and were always there to quickly help answer any questions we had. I could not recommend this property more! Thank you, Sharon and Rebecca !!!

A huge space and it has everything we could imagine needing. Internet quality was great and the basement rooms are really a fun use of space.
Sharon and Rebecca made it really easy and they were more flexible with us when our plans changed than I expected them to be. Would definitely stay there again.

Sharon and Rebecca created a comfortable, spacious and unique home which accommodated our extended family for a wedding weekend at the Wells Preserve. We enjoyed the location of this home, nearby walking trails and beach under a mile away on a path that we could push a stroller on which was great for the young kids. House was stocked with toddler supplies too (pack and play, high chairs, baby gate) which was helpful. Sharon was very easy to communicate with also!

This property brought our four families together for a week-long beach vacation! The house was clean and spacious, especially helpful with 4 children, ages 4 and under. The kitchen was really family friendly and had everything we needed to prepare meals throughout the week. We had some challenges with the AV, so we recommend bringing your own device (AppleTV, Roku, Firestick, etc.). Sharon and Rebecca were very responsive and helpful, from booking through check out! We would certainly stay here again.

We had a wonderful August vacation with our 16 person family group. The kitchen had everything we needed which made it a breeze to feed a large crew. Having 2 refrigerators was awesome! We happened to bring our own ice maker which turned out handy because the refrigerator ice maker had been shut off due to covid. While we read many warnings about mosquitoes in the nearby reserve, the property itself was completely free of mosquitoes which allowed us endless hours of playing lawn games in the back…such a gift! The main living area is amazing and we often had 6 different games or hangout spots going all at the same time. It was an awesome house for keeping kids engaged with family but not feeling crowded. The house really feels as big as it looks in the pictures. If you want to stream media, I would definitely recommend bringing your own firestick or roku, otherwise you will only have access to cable. We originally thought we would walk through the reserve to get to Laudholm Beach but it’s a long walk with all your beach gear and dropping off gear at the entrance isn’t an option. We ended up driving the 5 min drive to Drakes Island Beach and parking in the $5/hour lot that is about .25 from the beach. The beach is beautiful and we had plenty of space to spread out. We loved being so close to both Kennebunkport and Ogunquit. The owners are incredibly responsive and take care of any questions in a very timely manner. Definitely recommend!

Amazing Property and Hosts
We have been renting in the Drakes Island area for more than 20 years and this was the cleanest house we have ever rented. Sharon and Rebecca were the most gracious and accommodating hosts and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The kitchen and dining areas easily accommodated our group for meals. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed. The many exterior seating areas provided great options for those who enjoy the sun and those who don’t. We have already booked our week for next year. You can’t go wrong with this house and working with Sharon and Rebecca to ensure a fabulous vacation.

Amazing house!
We had the best weekend at 238 Laudholm Farm. Stayed with friends and family and we had an amazing time. The house was the perfect set up and the AC was great for the really warm weather. We spent most of the weekend out in the yard playing games and really enjoyed the huge kitchen too. Lovely property and the hosts were great.

Amazing vacation home great for large or small groups
My girlfriend and I originally rented this home with some friends. Unfortunately our friends had to cancel.
So it was just the two of us and we had an amazing time and a lot of that had to do with this house. It truly is amazing. Rebecca and Sharon did an unbelievable job decor and design. It has a fully stocked kitchen (literally fully stocked!) Anything you think you might want or need in the kitchen, they have it including 2 fridges for large groups.
The lower level is incredible!! The game room and home theater room are a great way to pass the time during rainy days. The bathrooms are also amazing including 2 jacuzzi tubs.
This house is also in a great location with tons to see and do. Perfect for on and off season vacations. There are plenty of restaurants as well as a grocery store nearby.
I strongly recommend renting this property for large or small groups. Sharon was fantastic! She was very informative and was readily available for any questions we had. This place is perfect for all ages!

Great experience!
We had a group of 11 family members meet for a long weekend (a toddler, two teenagers, and 8 adults). The kitchen and living areas were perfect for gathering to have meals and play games. The backyard is spacious and allowed for lawn games and letting the toddler run out some energy. There is a preserve a short walk from the house and several beaches within driving distance. The homeowner's were prompt in responding to questions and made the check-in and check-out process seamless. It was a great weekend and excellent accommodations.

We used this long weekend trip as a Cousins Vacation - 10 Adults and 3 littles under 6. We had a wonderful time. The house was the perfect size for our group - great amount of bedrooms, bathrooms, and separate sleeping spaces. We took a walk to the beach, played corn hole out back and used the movie theater. Our group spent a lot of time in the HUGE kitchen and hanging in the main living room space. The Kids loved the chalk board downstairs and checking out the animal set ups. The adults really loved the arcade games also. I recommend this location to any family or group of friends looking for a calm, large space to spend time together and relax.

Delightful stay, nature accessible at every turn!
Plenty of room in this VERY spacious, beautifully kept home. Could not be better for large groups (15?) but afforded our multigenerational group of 8 plenty of cozy time as well as generous spaces to hide away :). Gorgeous light in the house, invites yoga and the ideal kitchen for meal prep as well as a getaway for movies and a hot soak. All in the same house!

We rented this place for a yoga retreat and we enjoyed the house very much. It had a well stocked kitchen and was conveniently located to the center of Wells. The property mangers were accommodating and easy to communicate with. The space itself was versatile and perfect for our woman’s weekend away! We will be back! Thanks again.

Perfect for making memories!
Wow. This property is amazing! Lots of space to spread out and hang out with our family. Beds were comfy—and there were enough for all of us. Kids—and some adults—spent time in the game room. The living room sectional provided enough room for a crowd to watch a movie. Lots of tables for sharing meals. The kitchen is nice and well equipped. Enjoyed the trails, too, and walked the beach. Great home with great accommodations!
Our trip to 238 Laudholm was amazing! We hosted our wedding party for a night of fun and laughter, and held a small dinner after our wedding ceremony for friends and family! It was the perfect location, and the house is so beautiful! Rebecca was great to talk with throughout the booking process, and Sharon was so nice and friendly with guest services! A wonderful Maine Home
We had such an amazing time staying at this house. Its only about a ten minute drive to Kennebunk, and a thirty minute drive to Portland. It's also only an hour and a half from Salem, Ma. Its very large, and very clean. You do need to bring all your own amenities, so keep that in mind, but towels are provided. The beds are comfortable and there are ceiling fans in the guest rooms. The bathtubs are HUGE and gorgeous and very clean. The showers are all updated and very clean as well. I would recommend bringing a Roku or Chromecast or FireTv with you, as the tvs they have, though smart, are a little outdated, and lack the features of the streaming sticks. Thats a tiny nitpick though, and it was so gorgeous outside during our stay that we were often just hanging out in the huge backyard playing croquet and just having a great time, and we were inside watching tv very little. The communication was also fantastic. If we had any issues the owner was just a text away, and always responded very quickly. We asked for a box fan for the master bedroom (it got a little warm in there) and it was immediately brought and absolutely fixed the problem. Cannot recommend this property enough. The pictures are not exaggerated. The spaces really are that large, outside and inside.
