We had a great time. The cabin had everything we needed but I would bring some extra towels. Otherwise kitchen was well stocked and organized, tons of games. Neighborhood was quiet and within 15-20min drive of Deep Creek.

The private public swim area/dock was a close. We went to some great water falls, Lavender farm, Farmer’s market, and places to eat. Loved the firepit.

Very quiet
The house was very clean. The kitchen had plenty of cookware and utensils. The pool table was great and the fire pit in back was perfect for s’mores.

Bear Mountain Lodge had it all. Super comfortable and very clean - it was a great place for our annual couples weekend in Deep Creek. The hot tub was one of the best we’ve had during our four years of renting there, the kitchen was super well stocked with anything we could need to make all of our meals, having three bedrooms with adjacent baths spread over all three levels was great for our group, and the living areas were very comfortable. It was a little off the beaten path, but had a very private feeling to it’s setting. Our only quibble was that we didn’t have any access to streaming services, so if that matters to you, just make sure to bring your device with you to hook up to the TV. We’ll be back!

Bear Mountain Lodge had it all. Super comfortable and very clean - it was a great place for our annual couples weekend in Deep Creek. A small playground is a walking distance away.
20 min drive to stores and restaurants, state park and activities.
The house is large and looks like it is described.
Would definitely recommend for a family or friends vacation.

The house was nice and pretty much matched the online description and photos. It was a 15 minute walk to the lake, which was nice. We were disappointed with the service provided by the management company, Taylor Made. We learned in an email sent a few days before our arrival that only a starter kit of toilet paper, dish detergent and paper towels would be provided and that we would have to bring our own household products. This was a first for me. I have rented many houses over the years and they have all been equipped with a full supply of toilet paper and other basic household products. The closest store where toilet paper could be purchased at a reasonable price was 25 minutes away by car. So if you rent a house managed by Taylor Made, make sure to bring your own supplies.

This was our first vacation with Deep Creek and it will definitely NOT be our last! Beautiful location and the house was beyond our expectations. Loved relaxing in the hot tub and view the deer as they passed by. This location was just a short drive to all Deep Creek had to offer and the kids enjoyed themselves just as much as the adults.

The location is about 15 minutes from everything. The home is really nice, the hot tub was great and the fully stocked kitchen was a huge plus. The Wi-Fi worked well. All of the beds are in need of new mattresses. Would be nice to have more than 1 towel per guest. Overall, very happy with the stay.

Rented the Bear Mountain Lodge for a weekend away with friends. The house was great! We took full advantage of the deck, grill, pool table, and hot tub. Unfortunately, the wood we purchased never dried from all of the rain so we weren’t able to get a nice fire going, but the fire pit was a nice addition! The location was great - had an isolated feel in the woods but was a 25 minute drive to anything we needed (grocery store, hiking trails, and kayak rental). Upon arrival, we had trouble entering with our access code, but thankfully customer service was extremely helpful and came out quickly to make sure everything was okay. The only thing we had a problem with was the water - the tap water had a strong sulfur smell to it (as I’m assuming it was well), so we used bottled water for teeth brushing, etc.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean. However, the owner only provided one trash bag in the kitchen and there was only a half roll of toilet paper in our bathroom. I'm used to bringing extra items, but it seemed as if they limited even the basic items. The master bedroom is the only room with s TV outside of the communal areas. I would stay here again....and bring basic items with me.

The house is really nice. There were 6 of us and we really enjoyed all the room. The only complaint was that the bed near the kitchen is really hard!! The fire pits were awesome and we spent every night outside. We grilled, we fished, my 5 yr old taught us all a new card game. It was a great weekend!!! The roads look like they'd be hard to get through in the winter and it is a little far away from everything, but it was a great cabin in the woods! My family was very happy with it!!

This is a very beautiful home. The kitchen was fully stocked with whatever you needed and there were plenty of games and movies to occupy your time (if you don't bring your own). We enjoyed our stay, however the location is quite a distance from Wisp and any activities you'd like to do. We went for New Year's weekend, so there was a lot of snow/ice upon our arrival. The neighborhood (Sun Valley) was not plowed very well (there were quite a few cars that were stuck). If you don't have a 4-wheel drive vehicle, this is not the house for you in the winter. A couple of our family members were stuck and had to leave their cars overnight, on the side of the road. We were not aware that it was so far away from everything. Walmart and Wisp were both about a 20-25 minute drive. We're use to being close to everything. I only gave it 4 stars because of the location. If the location was closer, this home would easily get 5 stars.
