As the previous owner of this house, we looked forward to seeing if any changes were made and to our delight some improvements had occurred. The new siding, addition of a second fridge and the addition of a renter storage area down stairs were great additions. As always, the grandchildren enjoyed the basket ball and ping pong that is available. The house remains one of the best deals at Edisto Beach with its close location to the beach, one block, the screened porch and deck on the back of the house and the ample supply of dishes, pots and pans. I was very pleased to see that the new owners continue to keep the property in top notch shape and also added the improvements. I am sure they will enjoy the house along with all the renters for many years to come. When possible, my family will always consider this house when we visit Edisto Beach.

My teenager, friends, & I had a wonderful stay at Salt Therapy. Beautiful home, only a block from the beach, and close to everything on the island. Plenty of room, lots of extras including board games, basketball, ping pong, & beach accessories. Would definitely rebook this house again!

Lovely home and furnishings with a well stocked kitchen (pots, pans, dishes, etc.). We loved biking and walking from the house and the fenced yard was a real plus for our two dogs.

Three generations of my family thoroughly enjoyed our week at the beach. Salt Therapy was spotless and well furnished. The kitchen had every pan, pot, and dish imaginable. There was even a waffle maker and three coffee makers (which comes in handy when people enjoy different kinds of coffee). The fenced back yard was perfect. A special treat was having two outdoor showers that were roomy and well designed. The kids made good use of the ping pong table and corn hole.

This home is the perfect vacation home for people who love nature and want to bring their dogs with them. Sitting on the back deck, we saw deer, blue birds and beautiful wildlife. Our dogs loved playing in the fence. The house is divided in a way that gives families their space and privacy. While it doesn’t have an ocean view, it is a mere half block to the beach and the beauty of the area surrounding the house is great.

Plenty of space for the whole family, well equipped, short walk to the beach, nice screened porch. Get up early and you may spot a new sea turtle nest on the beach like we did! But don't bother it!

My family loved the "Salt Therapy" house location - close to beach with only a block plus across the street walk and an easy ride to grocery, local seafood market and restuarants. Our questions ahead of our arrival were answered readily by our assigned Edisto Beach Vacation Realty agent. This allowed us to "know the ropes" as we had not rented a house at Edisto prior to this year. The house was clean and well equipped with big pots for cooking shrimp and crabs as well as serving meals for a big family. However, there is little space in the cabinets for the food and supplies you bring. We found an empty hall closet right off the eating area. Instead of using it for linen, we put our extra paper products, dry goods and snacks in it. Worked fine. We really enjoyed the downstairs screened-in area with the ping-pong table and place to play other games under the cover of the house. We did experience a problem that needs to be remedied. The fuse box for the downstairs outlets, which we needed to charge our rented golfcart as well as have lights downstairs, was not accessible when - we think due to the thunderstorm the night before - it needed to be reset. The current owners keep that enclosed downstairs room locked. The upstairs, screened-in porch that runs across the entire front of the house was well used and delightful. We did note that the three ceiling fans have the type of blades that do not churn much air. They look good, but don't push the air down due to little slant. So, renters might want to take a fan for the porch. We had taken a medium-size one to have just in case and that ended up being the needed place for it! The fenced-in backyard area was a plus. Our one ole, sweet dog was quite happy there, finding cool places to relax. The first floor beds in this house are all firm and comfy. The ones upstairs are a bit soft but OK. We were very happy that the second floor bedrooms stayed cool so the air conditioning works well. Our "crew" of three generations would definitely opt to stay at this house again as we shared a fun week of family time, making many memories that will last forever!

Salt Therapy is a great house for adults and family. We had six adults and six kids under age nine. It’s an easy walk to the beach, plenty of outdoor space, and a fenced in backyard to keep those little ones from wandering off. If we come back to Edisto, we would stay here again!

We enjoyed a wonderful vacation at Salt Therapy. The check in was easy and when I had a question, there was a very prompt response with assistance. The house was spotless and everything was in excellent condition. The location is wonderful and I would not hesitate to return for my next beach vacation.

The house was in a great location just a short distance. The house was very clean and had everything that we needed. It was very roomy and had enough room for a large family. We will consider this house when we come during the summer when I need room for a lot of people. I loved the fenced in back yard and there were many games for the family to play.

First time in five years that we were able to get together. My wife and I have triplet boys. Two are married and one has a girl friend.. One has a five month old son. The house was very comfortable and was easy to get to. We are already planning for next year.

This was our second time staying at Our Haley Bug and again we had an enjoyable stay. The house is the perfect size for our crew and the fenced in area is perfect for the dogs. The short walking distance to the beach suited us and allowed us to go for walks late in the evening when the crowds weren't as bad. We really enjoy the location and the house and will certainly be looking to rent this house again next year for our vacation.

The Haley Bug will not disappoint.
This property is located at the corner of Myrtle and Mitchell Street which makes it so convenient to the beach. Lots of parking and places to play cornhole in the evenings. We loved the screened in porch.

Our stay at Haley Bug in Edisto Beach during the month of March was truly an amazing snowbird getaway. We were able to bring our dog Ellie and my husband and I totally enjoyed our daily walks on the beach with her. This home is a very short walk to the beach. The Haley Bug is very spacious and tastefully decorated with an awesome beachy feel. I especially enjoyed the back porch to read and get some much needed sunshine during the day and the huge front screened in porch during the evening to relax and enjoy the sound of the waves and watch the deer that visited nightly. I love the fact that Edisto Beach is not commercialized and the restaurants and gift shops are locally owned and all close by. We also checked out Botany Bay which is definitely a great experience and a must see. The WiFi and television reception was great. I’m really going to hate to leave this little piece of heaven on earth. I highly recommend Haley Bug for anyone looking for the ultimate vacation. Donna T

The Haley Bug @ Edisto Beach
The Haley Bug is tastefully appointed and relatively comfortable, but a little long in the tooth as far as appliances and cookware go. If you plan to eat out all the time there would be no problem. We were there for almost a month and found the stove almost dysfunctional. The cookware such as frying pans frankly need to be replaced. A little bit of refreshing in that area would help this place a lot! The neighborhood is great and close to the beach and the fenced in yard was great for our dog.

Girls trip
This is a lovely home close to the beach. At night we opened the door slightly and could hear the ocean. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, and it was roomy enough for two cooks.

Haley Bug is our favorite rental
My family and I go to the beach four times each year, and we only get to stay in Haley Bug once. It’s by far the best place. We love the home. We love the short walks to the beach. We love the outdoor space for play. We love Edisto. We love the screened in porch for coffee in the mornings. We love it.

The Amazing Haley Bug!
The owners have really seen to almost every want as well as need! The layout of the house was perfect as well as the fun of the game room that was indeed a bonus! The fence allowed my dogs to enjoy their stay in the backyard as well as on the beach! Truly a wonderful week!

Our Haley Bug was the best beach house we have ever rented at Edisto!
Our Haley Bug met all the needs for our family of 7, plus a baby. All of the bedrooms were spacious, tastefully decorated and the beds were comfortable. The family room area with the sectional sofa gave everyone a comfortable place to relax and enjoy one another's company. Having additional televisions in bedrooms on the main floor was a huge hit. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with dinnerware, pots, pans, etc. Some other reviewers have commented that the dining area was too small. It was really not a problem. We left the table pushed against the wall during the day and pulled it out at meal time. There was plenty of room for us to walk behind the person sitting closest to the bar area, so we didn't see this as an issue. Having the laundry room on the main living floor was also very helpful and allowed us to do laundry after dark without having to go downstairs. We truly appreciated that we were able to bring our pets with us. The fenced in back yard was a huge plus for us as we didn't have to leash them to take them out when needed (especially for the late night or wee hours visits outside.) Every night we enjoyed seeing the deer in the backyard. We were surprised at how easily the deer jumped the fence to get into the yard. One of our favorite spots was the screened in front porch. We spent lots of time on the porch. Having 8 rockers provided space for everyone. This house has everything for a large pet-loving family! You won't be disappointed in choosing this house! As stated in the title of this review, this was the best house we have ever rented in Edisto! Thank you for sharing it!

Loved Our Stay
This was our first stay at Haley Bug but will certainly not be our last. We really enjoyed the short walk to the beach and the space the house provided. Fenced in area was great for the dogs that were with us. Pillows in the king bedroom had door hair on them but we had our own pillow cases to use. We definitely plan on booking this house again.

Best stay at Edisto EVER!!!!
We have stayed at Edisto many times, this time we took three other couples with us that had never been!!! They were all so impressed at the spacious, beautiful house; it was all I heard about all week long!!!! Loved the location, loved the house, loved the adult time with the best of friends. We will be back Haley Bug!!! Until then......

Loved the location of the house and it’s proximity to my cousins house as well as the beach.
The house is very nice with great bedroom layout. It could use some freshening up as several floor tiles are cracked. Would recommend that maybe small hand soaps and two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom be included as a courtesy

Beautiful home with excellent location
Enjoyed the house for a family vacation. Excellent location to the beach and enjoyed the deer at night. The property needs a good cleaning. Tumbleweeds of pet hair were under the couch, light fixtures with dust and the air vent over the kitchen island is awful. I would rent the house again and memories were made❤

Family Vacation
This is the second time we have stayed at Haley Bug. The house could be cleaner but all in all we had a great time as always at Edisto. The air conditioning wasn’t working upstairs when we arrived. Called and someone was there immediately. Unfortunately there wasn’t a key on site for the mechanical door so it took a little while to resolve. The guy that came out to work on the problem was very nice and quickly fixed the problem once he was able to access the problem. The upstairs cooled off before bed time so that was good. Short walk to beach. Already wishing we were back at Edisto.

Feedback on Haley Bug
House is nicely decorated and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Loved the front porch and fenced yard. Some minor problems with toilet and tub were promptly addressed by realty company. My only concern was the couches were heavily stained and appeared dirty. There were also stains on rugs. I would have expected that more if it was at the end and not beginning of summer rental season. Thank you.

Haley Bug - Dec 2019
Location was great, we stay at Edisto a lot and really enjoyed this area. Having dogs, the fenced yard was really nice and helped out a lot. All of us enjoyed the ping ping, it was a lot of fun. There isn’t a lot of space for the kitchen table, to seat everyone, it had to be pulled out from the wall, creating a small space to get into the kitchen. The heating and A/C is not functioning too efficiently, we experienced both cold and warm days and the HCAC was very slow to respond. The wifi listed on the check-in instructions was incorrect but we just used the information off of the router. The master bath’s shower is difficult to operate, just very stiff.
We had a wonderful time, Edisto is such a great place to spend Christmas.

We had a great week, after worrying that Hurricane Dorian might mess it up. The house and location were perfect. Nice, large house; short walk to beach.
The carpets could have been cleaner. Kitchen was fully equipped but pots were pretty old.
We had an air conditioner problem and the manager was very responsive to get it resolved.
