A large home with a terrific forest view. Very spacious and lots of light. Immaculately clean. Thoughtful amenities. And only a 3-minute walk to both the center of town and to the beach.

Great access to the beach once we learned about the path that did not involve daring the 101 cross on the road. Walk into town thru the neighborhood was easy. Would love to have enjoyed the pool but it was not open for the exact days we were booked for.

We had a great time. Our only concerns were being in our 60’s and 70’s having a rail on the front porch, bars by the toilets or higher one would be a PLUS. This is my second time staying at Neptune’s Nest.

Wow! Beautiful light, bright and airy home. Classy decor. Fabulous setting within walking distance of Yachats River. Natural habitat at river's edge feels like heaven.

Nice home in a quiet neighborhood. Spacious living room kitchen and deck. Enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the little birds that were in the middle of migration play in the evening. Rooms are good size. There were some minor issues with the beds being a little soft for our taste but overall a nice weekend spot that is in a great location.

My friend and I brought our children here for the weekend. The house was great for hanging out and being together. The teen boys took the loft while the girls made cozy spots in the window seats. We all had fun playing in the beautiful backyard and at the pool. The location was very convenient. Close to town and an awesome beach location.
I gave the check in process a 4 because when we arrived none us of could connect to cell service to access the entry code. I wasn’t able to call the host either due to no cell service. Eventually we got in. I would advise saving the entry code before arrival because cell service is non existent in many areas in Yachats. Once inside the home we were able to connect to the internet but still couldn’t make phone calls. This was not a big deal to us as we came to spend time together but I think would be nice to know in advance for anyone booking in the future.

House was a great accommodation for 2 adults and 2 teenage boys. Plenty of areas to lounge in. The window seats were a big hit. Found a local trail that takes you along the river to the tennis courts and back into the neighborhood - a fun and unexpected find!
The "easy" walk isn't all that easy, as you have to cross the road at a corner that can be heavily trafficked to get to the road shoulders/walkways. However, access to a sandy beach in one direction and town with the rocky beach area to the other was nice.
If you want to take advantage of the wood stove, purchase firewood in advance. The stove keeps things very toasty, so it was a nice amenity. Neighborhood was very quiet with rare or occasional people moving about.

An okay experience
The house smelled pretty bad and the bedding wasn't clean. When we got there, we had to go buy a few candles to help with the smell. We didn't notice the smell of the bedding until bedtime, and there was nothing that was cleaner to swap it out with so that was kind of a bummer. The outlets were loose, like I read in previous reviews. The power went out once but was fine once we flipped the breaker. The downstairs toilet clogged. There was plenty of dishes to use which was nice. With COVID, cleanliness is really important right now- I wouldn't go back or recommend the house.

Comfortable beds, great location, fun for the kids.
We rented last minute and we were so pleased with the quick response and email with directions from Nik. We loved all the window seats to sit, drink coffee, and watch the deer in the morning. The beds were soft and comfortable. The kitchen had all the dishes and cookware that I needed.

Working from the coast
Our house is under construction so we planned to work from our VRBO. The Wifi worked well but I did not have phone service. I think this can happen in Yachats. This house was warm and comfortable and clean.

Nice home, very comfortable. Had trouble with finding an electrical outlet that would hold our adaptors without falling out. Plenty of pots and pans and utensils to cook with.
Nikki was a nice, responsive host. Upstairs toilet backed up on last day of visit but we were able to clear it. Other than that it was fine.

House is spacious & fulfilled our needs for sleeping arrangements, & cooking. Some of the windows coverings need repair or updates. Shower doors in main bathroom were not very stable. Location is good for getting to lots of activities within a 30 mile radius.

Comfortable and spacious in a quiet neighborhood close to Yachats and Cape Perpetua. It was perfect for our family with kids. The only thing to note - there is a binder with lots of house rules but no information about the neighborhood or the area. A map of the neighborhood would been very helpful for finding the playground and the recycling/trash area.
