Massively overpriced for the quality of the room, very dated and tired. Dreadful decor, electric fob fell off the wall, curtain tie back hanging out the wall. Bath too shallow to actually bathe in.. rough cut wood everywhere including the bed head.. bed and pillows really uncomfortable. It was clean and the staff were friendly but this was a £75 room not £145!

The hotel it’s self is stunning. Rustic barn style. We booked a private dining pod which was amazing and The food was beautiful. All staff we met were friendly.

The only thing that could of been improved was the bed. Very hard/ poor pillows

First impressions were great. Checked in and reception staff were excellent. Nothing a problem for them. Room was very nice.

I feel that a hotelier has some obligation to  their guest to at least try to provide an environment where sleep is possible.  It stated that the room might be subject to noise but the level of that noise and the way it reverbed through the room was unimaginable. This went on till 12. Then the party goers returned to their rooms, came in and out of each others rooms, standard after party behaviour, till about 2.30. The walls of the rooms are quite thin so you can hear a lot of what is going on. Then next door began to proper row (not the hotels fault of course). At 3 I called reception, concerned for the girl next door and wanting to move. The security man moved me to another room and I had 3 hours sleep before work. My point is this. They have clearly had to contend with a lot of anti social guests. They even charge a deposit for damage, (confirmed by the reception staff when I checked out). They must realise how bad the noise level is in the room I was in. Knowing this you would have thought they would, if available, move a solo guest travelling for work,( I had checked the travelling for work box and also was asked on arrival if I was attending the function), to a room in which they might get some sleep, which clearly they had available as I was moved to it in the night. Or not take bookings for guests not attending functions for the affected rooms. The bottom line, I stayed paid £117 for 3 hours sleep. Consider this before booking this hotel.
