Perfect location right on the main road with the best stores in Positano and the walk down to the beach is less than 10 minutes with stores and restaurants on the way. The view from our balcony and breakfast tables was INCREDIBLE, literally straight from a postcard. Our room was HUGE with a balcony. The staff is so friendly and remembered who we were even though we stayed only 2 nights. Anything we asked for they brought it right away. The breakfast buffet was a great value and you can order coffee/eggs however you want. Would 100% stay here again it was perfect and a GREAT value.

At first we had a few flys in our room but we told the front desk and they took care of it, didn’t see a single fly for the rest of the stay.

Loved the views, the position of the hotel and the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help in any way needed and every aspect was superb. I loved the jacuzzi in my room was so relaxing.

Very ‘small’- the cappuccino with breakfast was not great and I went with drip filtered coffee instead.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Albergo California. Centrally located in Positano, family owned with the best views in the area. We stayed for a week and it was the highlight of our trip to Italy. The breakfast was incredible, we also enjoyed several dinners at the Don Giovanni restaurant during our stay. Our room was comfortable and the views from our balcony were epic. Fun fact: this hotel was used as a filming location for scenes from the movie “Under the Tuscan Sun”. We will be back. This hotel is the best kept secret in Positano! We had a beautiful ocean view with a balcony. The room itself was much bigger than expected and was very clean. The location is ideal. They even arranged an airport transfer to Naples for us at the end of our stay. I would recommend anyone to stay here! A great deal for the price.

The breakfast was excellent and had a good choice of different food options

For dinner at the options were limited. I ordered Tuna fish and it came in cord so I sent it back. They brought it back lukewarm and it was very salty I couldn’t eat it.

this was such a reasonably priced property I was almost worried it wouldn’t be very nice quality but the view was incredible and our suite was wonderful with 2 balconies! Loved it and the staff was very friendly and helpful!

The location must be one of the best in Positano. The hotel is centrally located with incredible views. Short walk down to the beach. Our room was lovely - traditionally furnished, very spacious, beautiful high ceilings and great balcony with a stunning view over the ocean and Positano hillside. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We’ll be staying here again if visiting Positano. Really great value for money

Nothing significant that impacted our stay - It would have been nice to have some glasses (we only had plastic cups) as the mini bar was very decently priced and we sat and watched the sunset with a drink on our balcony each evening. I’m sure the hotel would have helped out with this if we asked though!

Located right on the main strip to see the amazing view of Positano. Kind staff were helpful and accommodating making my stay very comfortable! Huge room and couldn’t complain about the amazing balcony view I had during my stay. Also definitely try out their restaurant for dinner! Don Giovanni. Great food and everything was fantastic!

The location is perfect. It is right in the center of everything so you have a view but are close to the beach. You are on the main street so you don't need to go up and down tons of stairs. We got an incredible deal for our 3 nights in Positano and loved having breakfast on the balcony. The room is very basic and nothing fancy but it worked for us.

the property is close to everything like shops, restaurants and also not too far from the beach. staff were very friendly and also helpful. the view in our room was amazing as you get both worlds and would definitely recommend it to couples.

the a/c wasnt cooling down, but opening the window was helpful as we had the breeze from the ocean coming in.
